Chapter 590 In My Fairy Tale, You Are the Princess

Brooklyn glanced at the photo and her voice softened, "Babe, these photos turned out amazing. I'm thinking of framing them and putting them up in the bedroom."

Sebastian smirked, "Sure, whatever you want, babe."

Brooklyn pouted, but a smile crept onto her face despite the cold sweat, "You always listen to me, honey. You're so sweet."

Sebastian enjoyed their phone call, his voice smooth, "For the little things, I follow your lead. For the big stuff, I ask for your advice."

Brooklyn's foot slipped, sending a sharp pain through her. She hadn't been paying attention and let out a yelp.

"What happened?" Sebastian's voice on the other end immediately became concerned.

Brooklyn propped her foot up on the couch. "Nothing, just a little wake-up call for you. But it's late now, you should get some sleep."

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Of course, I'm at home. What could possibly happen? Go rest, goodnight."

After hanging up, Brooklyn couldn't hold back the pain in her foot any longer and let out a muffled groan. Luckily, the stone she stepped on wasn't too damaging. With some ointment, she should be fine in a couple of days.

After bandaging both feet, Brooklyn used the couch and walls for support as she made her way to the bathroom. Tonight was going to be rough.

Sebastian's phone rang again shortly after.

James, who had been quiet for a few days, was finally calling.

Sebastian walked back to his room, sat on the couch, and answered, "What's up?"

James was on a private yacht, marveling, "Sebastian, Cedric's woman is not easy to deal with."

The yacht drifted near Averlake, and the sound of women's laughter echoed loudly, clear even through the phone.

Sebastian frowned, pulling the phone away from his ear slightly, "So, no progress?"

James leaned against the yacht's railing, holding a half-empty glass of whiskey.

"Of course, there's progress. You underestimate me. But the woman I'm dealing with isn't Cedric's favorite, so she doesn't know much. She only mentioned a few people Cedric interacts with frequently. As for past events, she seems clueless. I'll dig deeper."

"And has Cedric made any moves recently? The power behind him is significant, and he won't be easy to handle. Be careful back home."

"Got it."

James glanced around the deck and lowered his voice, "Sebastian, among the people Cedric frequently contacts, there are a few names you should recognize: Marc, Miguel, Kevin."

Sebastian was indeed familiar with those names, very familiar.

He hadn't expected Kevin to be involved with Cedric. This revelation gave Sebastian a clearer picture of the situation.

"It seems Cedric dared to make a move against me because he established connections with the Jordan family and the King family." Sebastian's long fingers traced the seam of the leather couch.

James nodded, "I think so too. Cedric isn't foolish; he wouldn't cut off his own financial sources."

"So, Cedric will likely have a large shipment passing through Marc's dock, and the goods sent to Averlake will be handled by Kevin. I'll have people keep an eye on these points."

"That's what I thought. But if Cedric gets caught, he'll definitely implicate you. I'll try to get him to reveal his secrets first. If we hand him over to the cops, it will be harder for us to act."

"Alright."

"I'll keep gathering information. Sebastian, it's nighttime in Libertya. Get some rest."

"Take care of yourself."

"Don't worry, Sebastian. Dealing with women is my specialty."

When did that become something to brag about?

Things were getting more complicated, and a tough battle seemed inevitable.

The rain outside had intensified, droplets splattering against the window, covering it in water.

Sebastian opened his laptop, sent an email, and then closed it before heading to the bathroom.

Brandon opened his apartment door to find Bianca leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, giving him a half-smile but not stepping inside.

Brandon wrapped an arm around her waist. "Hey, I've been waiting for you."

It had been a long wait. She had promised to spend the night with him after finishing the Turner Group acquisition, but once it was done, Bianca turned into a complete workaholic, never sleeping before 3 AM and heading to the Turner Group early in the morning to audit the accounts. She was like a superhuman with boundless energy.

Brandon wanted to make demands, but seeing how busy she was, he couldn't push too hard.

So, he ended up working overtime with her, suffering in silence.

Bianca held a small leather bag, the metal chain draped over her arm, highlighting her smooth skin. She placed her hand on Brandon's arm, her rose-pink lips exuding a faint fragrance, "What's the rush? I'm here now, aren't I? This is my first time at your place, and this is how you welcome me?"

Brandon's eyebrow twitched, and with a swift move, he pulled her into his arms and kicked the door shut.

Before Bianca could react, her back was pressed against the door, and Brandon's lips were on hers in a deep kiss.

He placed a finger on her lips, silencing her, and smiled seductively, "Come with me."

Bianca's heart raced as she let him lead her inside. Brandon's home was spacious, decorated in a black-and-white bachelor style, with a spiral staircase leading to the second floor.

His place had a certain charm she hadn't expected.

Brandon led Bianca up the wooden stairs to a large bedroom with an open layout connected to a wide balcony. The overall style was luxurious and elegant.

Before she could take it all in, Brandon turned off the chandelier, plunging the room into darkness.

"Mr. Hernandez, why the rush? Turning off the lights so soon?"

"Just wait a minute."

In less than a minute, the room gradually lit up again. Small mushroom-shaped nightlights illuminated every corner, from the floor to the wardrobe, from the windowsill to the ceiling.

The soft, twinkling lights resembled fireflies, creating a warm and enchanting atmosphere.

Bianca's mouth fell open in surprise. These little lights spelled out "I LOVE U" in pink, yellow, and sky blue, transforming the previously luxurious bedroom into a romantic haven.

Brandon cupped Bianca's chin and leaned close to her left ear, "Do you like it?"

Bianca's eyes welled up with tears. She had never dared to hope for a man who would rescue her from the mire and give her the love and romance she longed for.

She always thought that her relationship with Brandon would be a fleeting relationship.

But...

"Brandon, what are you doing? Turning your place into this, do you think you're filming a fairy tale?" Her words were sharp, but her heart was deeply moved. If he asked her to follow him, she would undoubtedly say yes.

But Brandon didn't say that. Instead, he gently smoothed her hair and kissed her forehead, "Bianca, whatever other women have, I'll give you. You're my princess in this fairy tale, and I'll love and protect you."

Bianca couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She pounded her fists against Brandon's chest and collapsed into his arms, "Brandon, do you know how much I hate crying? I hate it!"

Brandon held her tightly, "From now on, you can cry, but only in my arms."

Bianca couldn't control her emotions and sobbed in his embrace, "You jerk! Brandon, I knew you were a jerk!"

"Alright, alright, I'm a jerk. I love you very much. And you? Knowing I'm a jerk, do you still love me?"
