Chapter 461 An Eye for an Eye
"Do you remember how she humiliated us back then?" Brooklyn asked.
"Of course I remember! That bitch's actions at that rundown villa in the suburbs! Fuck, I want to kill her! Damn it! This bitch!" Kelly was exhilarated, and furious!
"Valerie," Brooklyn swirled her wine glass in her hand, "I certainly won't be too kind to her."
Kelly, with a sly look, moved closer to her, "She is still alive! Fuck!"
Brooklyn nodded, "Apparently, she's doing quite well."
Kelly's mind quickly recalled the fire that day, the terror between life and death, everything she and Brooklyn went through... All the memories flooded back, and she finally recognized it was Valerie!
That day, she almost got them killed!
"Brooklyn, what are you planning to do? She seems to be with a man, but I don't recognize him. He doesn't seem to be anyone famous, so we can basically ignore him." Kelly asked.
Brooklyn nodded, looking at Valerie and the stranger at the bar through the moving crowd, a smile with a hint of scheming on her lips, "Create some commotion and get them to come over."
"We could go over there too. I want to crush her bones right now! How is this woman not dead yet!" Kelly clenched her fists, gritting her teeth, wishing she could shoot her right now!
Brooklyn pinched her chin, her seduction skills instantly maxed out, "Sweetheart, are people like them worth us going over? Let them come to us obediently."
Kelly suddenly understood, pinching Brooklyn's face in return, "Let them come over. Oh! Sweetheart, you're quite the schemer."
"Depends on who it is." Brooklyn smirked.
Kelly took a big gulp of her drink and slammed the glass heavily on the table, "Oh! Isn't that Valerie? The big star actually came to the bar for a drink!"
Brooklyn's eyes twitched, and she whispered, "Is that your way of attracting them?"
Kelly chuckled, "Oh, who cares about the process? Just get it done. Look, she's looking over."
Brooklyn elegantly lifted her glass to her lips without drinking a drop, her intelligent eyes filled with indifference and mockery, "Valerie almost killed me back then. If I don't return the favor, people might think there's no justice, no law, no retribution in this world. Darling, don't call me bad later."
Kelly let out a long howl, "My goddess! Don't worry! In TV shows, women like her shouldn't survive past the third episode. You're already being very lenient by acting now."
"Alright."
Kelly advised, "How about we find some men to sleep with her, record some videos or something? It would be very popular. She hasn't had a single notable work in her acting career. We could help her out!"
Brooklyn poked Kelly's nose, "Sweetheart, we need to use polite methods."
From the look in Brooklyn's eyes, it didn't seem like it.
Valerie heard someone mention her name and smirked with pride. Once hoping Megan's success would boost her career, she lost it all when Megan's star faded. Now, with newcomers taking over, she's barely hanging on—no ads, no roles. But at least someone still remembers her.
She immediately felt elated, shaking her wine glass, and said with contempt and self-satisfaction, "At least they have some taste, recognizing me."
The man beside her brushed his fingers through her hair, "Of course, you've always been the most beautiful."
As he spoke, the man's gaze also turned towards the source of the voice. Almost at first glance, he saw Brooklyn sitting leisurely on the sofa, holding a wine glass.
Under the lights, her delicate skin, perfect face, and long hair draped over her shoulders, her appearance and temperament far surpassed the surrounding ordinary women.
Such a beauty!
Her beauty was undeniable, but it was her natural, effortless elegance that set her apart—nothing like Valerie's fake refinement, built entirely on high-end brands.
Such a woman was simply perfect!
"What are you looking at! That seductive woman has you mesmerized! Have some self-respect!" Valerie slapped the man's shoulder, scolding him coldly with a mix of coquettishness and anger.
But her own eyes couldn't move away from Brooklyn, "This woman looks familiar. Have I seen her somewhere before?"
The flickering lights made it hard to see clearly.
And the stunning woman beside...it was Kelly, Valerie's face suddenly changed!
Could it be... No, how could they be here? How could it be such a coincidence! She had left Aucester for more than two years. She had heard that Brooklyn was dead, and there were rumors that Kelly had also died in an accident abroad. Wasn't Kelly supposed to have been burned to death in that fire?
How could it be! Impossible!
Kelly sneered, "Valerie, don't you recognize me?"
Valerie's face turned pale with shock, then darkened as she recognized Kelly's face, "You... you aren't..."
"Are you trying to say I'm dead? Sorry to disappoint you, Miss Sanchez, but I survived. And I never expected you to come back. Oh, we really are fated!"
Valerie was momentarily speechless, struggling to stay upright. Since Kelly recognized her, why hadn't she reported her?
Evidence? Yes, Kelly had no evidence! All the evidence was burned in the fire. Even if Kelly and Brooklyn remembered her, what could they do?
Two years had passed, and it was still the same!
"Sorry, I don't know you." Valerie distanced herself, feigning ignorance.
Fuck, pretending not to know? Playing amnesia? Could her acting be any worse?
"Oh? Forgotten? Such a poor memory for a beauty. I was going to buy you a drink." Kelly lifted the wine bottle, the label shocking Valerie from a distance.
That was a limited-edition custom wine! Forget about the taste—being able to afford it alone spoke volumes about her status and sophistication!
Kelly actually had a bottle!
"No need, I have other things to do." Valerie panicked.
"What? Miss Sanchez, why are you avoiding? Even if we don't know each other, one drink isn't too much, right?" Kelly smirked.
The man beside Valerie couldn't hold back, "Let's go sit over there. They're offering you a drink, you should be polite."
In this situation, Valerie couldn't retreat. Leaving would only prove her guilt. She needed to find a way to escape. "You drink, I'm not feeling well."
Kelly sneered, "Miss Sanchez, if you don't give me face, I'm afraid I might say something I shouldn't out of sadness, and that wouldn't be good for your reputation."
Valerie gritted her teeth, "What do you want?"
"Drink, I've prepared it. Beauty, won't you give me face?" Brooklyn raised her glass, "What are you afraid of? Or are you afraid of what might happen?"
Valerie made up her mind, "Of course not!" She whispered to the man beside her, "Check if they have any other companions and find a chance to leave."
"What happened? You said you didn't know them? Wait, the one beside that woman, that's Brooklyn! Sebastian's wife, Brooklyn!"
The man suddenly realized, remembering the true identity behind that stunning face. His heart skipped a beat. He actually saw Sebastian's wife!
Brooklyn! A prominent figure! If he could get to know such a woman, his life might change!
Such a great opportunity right in front of him, how could he miss it!
But Valerie was serious, "Don't ask so many questions, just get ready to leave! Prepare a car and leave as soon as possible."
The man grinned, "Sweetheart, not everyone gets a chance to meet Sebastian's woman. I think we should go have a drink."
The man took Valerie's hand and walked towards the private booth.
Brooklyn smirked, "She fell for it without a fight. Hard to believe she orchestrated our kidnapping with that kind of brain. Frankly, it's impressive she's still alive."
Hearing Brooklyn's sympathetic tone, Kelly's mouth twisted further, "Brooklyn, weren't you kidnapped by such a person back then? Don't mock her, you might be insulting yourself."
Brooklyn was speechless. "I was caught off guard back then. And who was the person being kidnapped? Who did I fall into the trap for? Don't you remember?"
"Well... they're coming over."
Valerie and the man reached the private booth. The man first checked the bottles on the table, each worth tens of thousands of dollars, the most expensive limited edition reportedly priced over eighty thousand dollars!
"Miss Sanchez, sir, please sit." Kelly gestured for them to make themselves comfortable.
Valerie looked at Brooklyn, "You look familiar, but I really don't know you, sorry."
Kelly almost stood up, pretending not to know? Fuck!
Brooklyn smiled slightly, "Really? You can take your time to remember. If you can't, I'll help you."
Since sitting down, the man's eyes hadn't left Brooklyn, which annoyed Brooklyn.
Kelly cursed inwardly, 'Fuck, scumbag!'
"Miss Sanchez, you've been quite low-key these past two years, but still as radiant as ever. Wow, this handsome guy is quite the looker! I'm smitten! Let's have a drink!" Kelly poured a glass of wine and handed it to the man, "Not the best wine, but make do."
The man tried to act nonchalant, "I've been drinking this kind of wine lately, getting a bit tired of it. But since a beauty is offering, of course, I'll drink."
Such a pretender!
"Well, drink more! Don't be shy!" Kelly laughed.
Valerie bit her lip, wondering what they were up to. Since they recognized her, why hadn't they taken any action?
Were they really letting it go, or did they have other motives?
Were they trying to get information about the mastermind from her? Valerie's palms were sweaty, and she nervously moved to the edge of the sofa.
Brooklyn was unfathomable; she couldn't confront her directly.
Brooklyn swirled her wine glass, smiling lightly, "Just drinking seems boring, right? Kelly, should we play a game?"
