Chapter 171 Heartbreak and Heartache Stem from Love

Inside, a dozen men suddenly appeared from different directions, forming a circle around Brooklyn with gasoline cans.

After arranging this, Loren nodded at the armed men, who understood and stealthily took up positions in different directions.

Next, Loren pinched Brooklyn's chin, "Mrs. Kingsley, you know the drill, right? If you try to be ruin my plan, our sniper might accidentally shoot Sebastian's head."

Brooklyn gritted her teeth, tears streaming down her face. The sweat mixed with tears on her pale face dripped from the corners of her mouth, mingling with blood, staining her white clothes a deep red.

'Why did you come? After three years of neglect and humiliation, now it can end, and there is no need to dwell on it. Why come?'

Thinking of this, Brooklyn couldn't hold back her tears, silently shaking her shoulders as she sobbed bitterly.

Sebastian drove to the front of the dilapidated house, his imposing figure standing in the middle of the main entrance. Clad in a high-end black suit, Sebastian exuded a grim reaper's aura, his sharp gaze fixed on the empty ground floor of the hall. Sebastian stood with one hand in his pocket, his face devoid of any emotion.

Instead of a rescue mission, Sebastian looked more like he was there to inspect.

In terms of sheer presence, no one could match Sebastian.

"Mr. Kingsley, how brave! Please come inside."

The men in black, holding guns, noticed the large suitcase in Sebastian's hand and sneered.

"The money is here, so where's Brooklyn?"

Sebastian's voice turned even colder.

"Since you're here, I won't let you leave empty-handed."

Loren led the way, with Sebastian following behind. Sebastian's sharp eyes and keen senses quickly scanned the house for hidden threats.

The surroundings seemed calm, but danger lurked beneath the surface.

The scent of blood was strong and familiar, just like the experiences from years ago.

Sebastian pretended not to notice, and suddenly, Loren stopped in his tracks.

"Mr. Kingsley, bullets have no eyes. Don't do anything stupid."

Sebastian's thin lips uttered coldly, "Take me to her!"

Loren led him upstairs, a simple room with many depressions on the steps. Dust splattered on Sebastian's black Armani pants as he walked, turning the pants white with dust.

At the corner of the stairs, Sebastian saw Brooklyn tied to a pillar.

The pain in his heart and the heat in his eyes constricted Sebastian's breath, just one step away from losing control and shedding tears.

But he was Sebastian Kingsley, who never shed tears.

As Sebastian loosened his grip, the heavy suitcase crashed to the ground, kicking up billows of smoke and dust, which settled on his body, soiling Sebastian's coat and causing him to furrow his brow in disgust.

Seeing Sebastian standing in front of her, Brooklyn closed her eyes in despair, tears falling, and then she sarcastically sneered, "Oh, isn't this Mr. Kingsley? Why are you here? Are you here to rescue me? What's the relationship between you and me? Get out! I don't want to see you!"

The sniper hidden in the shadows aimed at Sebastian.

Loren laughed, "Mr. Kingsley came to save you, and your reaction is not that great."

"He's not my husband! When he was rolling in bed with other women, he didn't think of me as his wife," Brooklyn said, laughing, then slowly raised her head to look at him, "Sebastian, are you planning to sign the divorce agreement today?"

As she spoke, she directed her eyes to indicate the sniper's position to Sebastian. With Sebastian's intelligence, he would surely understand her.

Sebastian had come; no matter why, she couldn't let him die.

With one hand in his pocket, Sebastian didn't even want to cast a disdainful gaze at her, "Do you think I came to rescue you? Brooklyn, don't be naive. I came to kill you with my own hands. For three years, you've cheated on me countless times, and you naively thought I would save you."

He turned to Loren, "Thank you for keeping her alive for me. I'll give you the money, but her life belongs to me."

"Sebastian, do you really think we're fools?"

Loren suddenly pointed his gun at Sebastian's forehead, "Both of you must die!"

Sebastian stood still, "I'm already in your hands. There's no escape. But before I die, I must kill her with my own hands. The most unbearable humiliation for a husband is betrayal, and I will not allow betrayal in my life."

He turned to Loren, "Lend me a bullet. I will hand over MBK Group to you today."

Loren was stunned! 'What is happening?'

'Mr. Lawson intends to eliminate both Sebastian and Brooklyn! How should this situation be handled?' Loren pondered.

Loren made a call to Davon, "Mr. Lawson."

After informing Davon of the situation, Loren stood firm, "Enough! Step forward!"

Sebastian chuckled, "Your boss wants you to be a target here while he hides behind watching the show. If something happens, you'll take the fall. Are you really going to do this?"

"Cut it!"

Loren was just a coward; otherwise, he wouldn't have let Sebastian talk so much without shooting.

Sebastian took out a few pieces of paper from his pocket, "I came here not expecting to leave alive. Here are two documents: one is my medical diagnosis, and the other is the transfer of MBK Group shares. As long as I sign, you become the CEO of MBK Group. I don't have much time left, but before I die, I can't bear the betrayal of Brooklyn. It's worth it to kill her with my own hands."

Facing the gun, Sebastian walked up to Loren and placed the documents on a dusty table.

"Take a look for yourself."

Loren couldn't believe it, but his inner scale was wavering. MBK Group! The temptation was too great! Even if it was fake, Loren was willing to give it a try, and Sebastian was not asking too much.

Brooklyn widened her eyes and thought, 'The diagnosis? Oh my god! Is it real?'

"Sebastian, you..."

"Shut up!" It was Sebastian's disgusted voice.

She didn't understand! Sebastian was way too calm! He was completely calm about seeking death!

After reading the documents, Loren frowned, "Cancer... and the MBK Group share certificate."

It had a steel stamp and was notarized.

Sebastian had not expected the other party to take this approach. The gun he held was unusable; if he fired, the gas tank would explode!

Sebastian suddenly sneered, "I've changed my mind."
Dear CEO, Please Be Gentle!
