Chapter 309 Preparing to Implement the Plan

In the hospital room.

As Quinn and the others walked in, they were relieved to see Sebastian awake.

Brandon, looking annoyed, touched his nose and asked, "Mr. Kingsley, what were you thinking running into a tree?"

Brandon had been planning to head back to Averlake but canceled his flight when he heard about Sebastian and rushed over.

Quinn's face was still swollen from being hit, looking a bit rough, and he said, "Sebastian, you really caused a mess this time. The whole household is in chaos. You need to get better quickly and handle things."

Sebastian reached out to remove the oxygen mask. His pale face was bloodless, and his deep-set eyes seemed even more profound after a day and night. "What happened? What's wrong with your face?"

Quinn was almost moved to tears. Despite his condition, Sebastian still cared about his face. "I'm fine, but Brooklyn..."

Dario nudged his elbow, signaling him not to mention Brooklyn at this moment.

Sebastian's eyes narrowed sharply as he asked, "What about her? Where is she?"

'Before I lost consciousness, I bit her, and then it rained heavily. Where could she have gone?' Sebastian thought.

Quinn swallowed and said playfully, "What could happen to her? Brooklyn is so tough; who could do anything to her? She has some matters to attend to and will come soon."

Hearing this, Sebastian finally relaxed, his brow easing. Then he looked at Dario, asking, "What about the company?"

Dario reported truthfully, "While you were unconscious, NC Group tried to take advantage of the situation to strike at MBK Group again. Fortunately, you had previously proposed a contingency plan, though it wasn't signed. When I came to find you, you were still unconscious, so Mrs. Brooklyn Kingsley signed it, giving me the authority to execute it. Luckily, we won this business battle."

Dario's expression lightened considerably, hoping this good news would cheer Sebastian up a bit.

But Sebastian's focus was entirely elsewhere. He immediately asked, "You said Brooklyn signed it?"

Dario nodded confidently. "Mrs. Brooklyn Kingsley said at the time that she would take full responsibility for anything that happened. She is truly impressive!"

Quinn said proudly, "What did I say!"

Sebastian shot him a look. "Shut up."

Quinn obediently shut up.

Brandon chuckled, "Now that you're awake, I can return to Averlake and relax. If I don't go back soon, my elders will be upset."

Sebastian, however, was completely indifferent and sternly said, "Did you find out what I asked you to investigate? If not, you're not allowed to go back. I'll explain to your father myself. But you must get to the bottom of my matter."

'Is he really that domineering? Well, yes, he is, and he's someone I can't refuse.' Brandon thought.

"It's been over three years; it's not easy," Brandon sighed, feeling a bit down.

"Piper, Sebastian is awake now. This is the best opportunity. I need to deal with Brooklyn before he fully recovers."

At Ocean Café, in a corner booth, Piper and Megan sat facing each other.

Piper nodded. "I'll make the necessary preparations to minimize any harm to you. The obstetrics and gynecology department at the hospital is staffed with top-notch doctors from Aucester, ensuring your safety."

Megan took a sip of coffee, her meticulously painted eyes flashing with malice as she asked, "Where is that bitch Brooklyn?"

Piper gripped her coffee cup tightly, a surge of anger rising from her heart to her skull, almost bursting through her head.

"She's at the hospital, in Zach's resting room!" Piper gritted her teeth, wishing she could drag Brooklyn out of Zach's room and push her down the stairs.

Megan laughed coldly, "That's perfect, Piper. Now is the best time," she said slowly, leaning forward, "What could be more convincing than being caught in the act and then trying to kill out of shame and anger?"

Piper's eyes narrowed, finally emitting a cold, focused light. "Megan, you're getting smarter."

Megan snorted, "As long as Brooklyn is around, I can't be at peace. Jennifer just went to the hospital. Tonight, when she sees her grandson being harmed by the person she hates the most, I can't wait to see her reaction."
