Chapter 278 Love Never Changes

Sebastian didn't give her a straight answer. Instead, he took a sip of his red wine, flashed a sly grin, and shot back, "Brooklyn, you come from a fancy family, right? You get the whole investment and return thing. If you team up with me, you get the wins, I take the losses. Sound like a deal you wanna make?"

'Man, Sebastian's slick,' Brooklyn thought, rolling her eyes. She took a sip of her wine, thinking, 'I'm on my way out; what's the point of all these games to cheer me up now?'

"Alright, if you're into losing deals, I'll play along. But don't come crying to me when you're broke," she said.

Sebastian raised his glass again, "So, it's a deal. For the next few decades, let's look out for each other."

Normally, she'd be so touched she'd throw herself into his arms. But now, Brooklyn just clinked glasses with him, mimicking his mischievous smile, her pearly whites gleaming, "For the rest of my life, I hope Mr. Kingsley will be patient with me."

Their wine glasses swayed gracefully, the red wine reflecting their stunning faces. Brooklyn hid half her face behind her glass, using the act of drinking to mask her tears mixing with the crimson liquid.

A sweet violin tune floated from the deck, the beautiful music blending perfectly with the sea breeze, setting a romantic vibe.

She thought they were alone on this massive ship. Hearing the music, she wondered where the musician had been hiding.

Just gourmet food wasn't enough; the night was still young, and there were plenty of surprises in store.

Sebastian put down his glass, smiling gently, "Let's dig into our dinner."

It felt like she'd spent the whole day eating. Well, she had taken a long nap. It was like she was living it up before the end.

The dinner was laid out with fancy custom-made dishes, each plate a piece of art, almost too pretty.

Outside the window, the sky was full of stars, and the dark sea made a soothing sound as the ship moved, a sound so beautiful it was almost overwhelming.

Sebastian kept glancing up to watch her eat, her hair lightly resting on her smooth shoulders. In the dreamy atmosphere, she looked almost unreal.

Brooklyn also stole glances at Sebastian, thinking she hadn't woken up yet. He looked incredibly handsome tonight. Any woman would be thrilled to have dinner with him.

In the candlelit dinner, they both dined lost in their own thoughts, one dreaming of together forever, the other thinking of goodbye.

After stuffing themselves, they both set down their knives and forks at almost the same time.

Sebastian grabbed Brooklyn's hand and led her to the deck without saying a word. Out there, besides the violinist, there was also a white piano.

The stars above were twinkling, and their reflections danced on the water below, creating a stunning scene.

Sebastian's long fingers brushed a strand of hair from her temple. He leaned in close, his warm breath tickling her neck, and whispered, "Brooklyn, tonight's gonna be unforgettable."

He signaled to a waiter, and within seconds, a white chair appeared.

He gently pressed her shoulder, making her sit down.

The atmosphere was so magical that Brooklyn was completely entranced, unable to think or speak.

Sebastian's tall figure moved to the piano, and they could see each other over the piano's high stand.

His fingers danced over the black and white keys, starting with a low tone that turned into a deep, tender melody.

It was "Eternal Love."

The man in white and the white piano were a perfect match. Under the clear night sky, the heartfelt piano music seemed to say what he couldn't put into words.

She remembered the lyrics, 'even through the sands of time my love will always grow, and I won't let go, No matter if you're near or far...'

Brooklyn was completely lost in the dreamlike scene he and the piano created, utterly captivated.

However, she still had a girlish heart, just waiting for the right moment to wake up.

Brooklyn let herself enjoy the romance he created, tears unknowingly trickling down her cheeks.

'Sebastian, you devil, you charming rogue!' she thought.

Without looking at the sheet music or the keys, Sebastian just stared straight at the tearful Brooklyn, a mischievous smile on his lips, as if teasing her on purpose.

'Has your girlish heart woken up, my wife?' he thought.

She smiled and thought, 'No, Sebastian, your charm almost scared my girlish heart to death.'

He laughed, as if he understood the meaning in her eyes.

If only time could stand still, like a Ferris wheel at its highest point.

But the Ferris wheel was meant to remind its passengers that it would come down when reaching the top.

When the song ended, Brooklyn was already crying, sitting there like a fool, the last note still echoing in her mind.

Sebastian picked a red Gallonia rose, strolled over to her elegantly, and before Brooklyn could react, leaned in close, his breath smelling of tequila.

He said, "Promise me this forever. We'll always stay this way."

Dear CEO, Please Be Gentle!
