Chapter 355 Heart Attack Relapse

Sebastian got home around 7:10 PM, and the smell of food hit him as soon as he stepped inside. He dropped his files, slipped into his comfy slippers, and strolled over to the kitchen door.

Leaning against the doorframe with his arms crossed, he watched Scarlett move around the kitchen with a kind of effortless grace.

Scarlett was a quick learner, no doubt about it. In just one day, she went from clueless to handling everything like a pro. Her long hair was tied back, catching the light just right, and the apron she wore showed off her slim figure.

She was following a printed recipe, trying her hand at making spaghetti.

Sebastian closed his eyes for a moment, soaking in the sounds of the kitchen, almost like Brooklyn was still there.

"You're back?" Scarlett's voice snapped him out of his thoughts.

He opened his eyes, playing it cool. "When's dinner ready?"

Scarlett brought out the dish. "Right now."

The food was made by the book, with all the ingredients, seasonings, and cooking times perfectly measured, though her knife skills could use some work.

"Don't worry, there's more in the kitchen. I made enough for four people. You can have someone send some to my assistant now," Scarlett said, looking pretty pleased with herself.

Sebastian picked up a fork, not really listening, and took a bite. It was good, but not quite there.

It wasn't the taste he remembered. Brooklyn's cooking had layers, not just a mix of ingredients and seasonings. Her dishes always left an impression.

Of course, Scarlett couldn't replicate that.

Seeing her neatly stacked recipes, a flicker of doubt crossed Sebastian's mind.

Scarlett smiled politely. "I printed these using the printer in your study. Sorry for using it without asking."

Sebastian nodded, something clicking in his mind. "You printed them yourself?"

Scarlett chuckled. "Is there anyone else here? Oh, are you doubting my tech skills? It's easy. This printer uses optical principles and connects via Bluetooth. Plus, it's high-end, with color printing that's clearer than photos."

She was so good at it. Back then, Brooklyn couldn't even figure out how to print from a USB drive.

He didn't say anything else, but the atmosphere at dinner grew slightly awkward.

Scarlett found the man in front of her strange. One moment, he was so light-hearted and easy-going; the next, his mood shifted abruptly, casting a shadow over the room.

After dinner, Sebastian headed to his study to work. With nothing else to do, Scarlett wandered around the villa, admiring the Swarovski chandeliers and custom Gallonia ceilings. Everything was top-notch.

Before she knew it, she was on the third floor again. Out of curiosity, she walked to the door that had been locked last night. Weirdly, it was open today.

Scarlett quietly stepped inside and turned on the light.

The decoration in there was truly peculiar. Shelves upon shelves were lined with transparent glass jars, each one meticulously filled with camellia petals. The sheer number was staggering, jar after jar creating a mosaic of delicate pinks and whites.

But that wasn't all. Some of the petals had been carefully preserved and mounted as specimens, hanging on the walls in ornate mahogany frames. Each frame held a single dried camellia, its fragile beauty captured for eternity.

Three entire walls were covered with these frames—at least a hundred, maybe even two hundred—each showcasing a different camellia.

Even with all the money in the world, this seemed like a bit much, right?

Scarlett picked up a glass jar and gave it a little shake. The camellia inside swayed gently, perfectly preserved.

"What are you doing!" A deep, angry voice suddenly boomed. Scarlett jumped, and the glass jar slipped from her hand, shattering on the floor!

"I..." Scarlett was stunned, terrified by the fury on Sebastian's face.

The veins on his forehead bulged, and his handsome face twisted with anger. His eyes, filled with venom and fire, bore into her, making it hard to breathe.

"Get out!" Sebastian pointed to the door, yanking her out and shoving her hard.

Scarlett nearly fell, grabbing the doorframe for support. She turned to look at him. "What's wrong with you?"

Sebastian's face was burning with uncontrollable rage, his fury growing more intense by the second. His mouth twitched like that of a predator ready to strike, bloodthirsty and fierce. "Get out!"

"I just broke a glass jar and a few flowers. If these flowers mean something special to you, I can put them back together! Why are you so angry?" Scarlett snapped back.

No one had ever been so harsh to her. How dare he?

Before Sebastian could respond, a sharp pain twisted in his chest. The pain was so intense that his legs gave out, one knee hitting the floor hard!

Scarlett's eyes widened, and she rushed to grab his hand, leaning in to listen to his heartbeat, her face changing dramatically!

How could this be? His heartbeat had suddenly become very fast, almost reaching two hundred beats per minute!

"Take a deep breath! Relax! Clear your mind, look at me!" she tried to comfort him.

Sebastian's heart felt like it was being twisted and torn apart, the pain making his veins bulge, and his back soaked with sweat. In less than a minute, his face turned red from the strain.

His heart was in severe pain, lacking blood supply, and his hands were trembling uncontrollably, clenching into fists as he fought against the overwhelming agony.

How could it be this serious! His heart had indeed suffered severe damage. But she had never encountered such a situation!

"Where's the medicine? It's in the bedroom, right? Hold on, I'll go get it!"

Scarlett stood up to get the medicine, but he grabbed her hand. His grip was so strong it almost twisted her wrist. Scarlett gasped in pain, gritting her teeth to endure it.

"You need to take your medicine. Aw!" She exclaimed, her wrist hurt too much.

Sebastian's eyes lost focus, the figure in front of him blurring, one becoming two, then three, four and more... until countless illusions danced before his eyes.

His pale lips lost their color, his gaze scattered, and the images in his mind became fuzzy and distant. He called out, "Brooklyn, don't leave me, Brooklyn..."

Brooklyn? Who was that?

Never mind, he was in this state now. She had to cooperate with him first.

Scarlett knelt on the ground, holding Sebastian's upper body in her arms, her free hand gently stroking his hair and chest, soothing him softly. "I won't leave. I'll stay here with you, okay?"
