Chapter 583 The Woman Who Actively Pounced

Such a straightforward and bold invitation made it clear that Catherine's intentions toward Sebastian were pretty obvious.

Catherine's sultry eyes, filled with anticipation, waited for Sebastian's response. One word from him, and she'd be hooked.

Under the lights, Sebastian kept his cool, elegant demeanor. Catherine's forwardness didn't seem to faze him much.

He smiled but didn't say a word.

Seeing that Sebastian didn't respond right away, Catherine felt a flicker of frustration and bit her lip. "Mr. Kingsley, what's the deal? Not interested in my painting?"

Sebastian caught the underlying meaning in Catherine's words. He was just testing her boundaries.

His smile grew, his eyes hinting at something more. "Ms. Cooper, a painting is a treasure. I was just wondering if I have the honor."

Would she willingly fall into his trap, or did she have another plan to turn the tables?

Catherine's soft hand rested on Sebastian's shoulder, her body leaning closer, her curves almost brushing against his suit. Through the thin fabric of her dress, her cleavage was tantalizingly visible.

"Mr. Kingsley, such a fine painting isn't something everyone gets to see. We met by chance, and I feel like it's fate. Why not take the chance to enjoy it?"

The scent of Chanel filled his nostrils, making Sebastian tense up. He instinctively wanted to step back; the strong fragrance was something he found quite off-putting.

"Ms. Cooper, as Mr. Cooper's daughter, aren't you worried about being led astray?"

The dance continued, the music played on, and the two of them moved in perfect harmony, drawing the eyes of everyone around. They seemed like a perfect match.

Their conversation flowed smoothly, one speaking eloquently, the other smiling gently. The scene was so beautiful that even Bruce thought his daughter and Sebastian looked like a match made in heaven.

Seeing the two of them so engrossed in each other, Bruce's companions couldn't help but comment, "Mr. Cooper, Ms. Cooper and Mr. Kingsley seem to get along really well."

"More than just well, they look perfect together. Anyone who didn't know better would think they were a couple."

"Ms. Cooper is exceptionally talented and beautiful. It's hard to imagine anyone being worthy of her, but seeing this, I think Mr. Kingsley is a perfect match... if only he weren't already married."

Hearing this, Bruce's already wavering thoughts grew stronger. He watched Catherine and Sebastian together, noticing the sparkle in his daughter's eyes.

Yes, he had to admit, in the entire business and political world, only Sebastian was worthy of Catherine.

" Seeing Mr. Kingsley and Ms. Cooper, it's clear from Mr. Kingsley's gaze that these two are mutually interested."

Bruce said nothing, but finding a good match for Catherine was his top priority. The more he thought about Sebastian's talents and looks, the more he felt that Sebastian was made for Catherine.

Bruce took a sip of his drink, pondering. If Sebastian could divorce and be with his daughter Catherine, it would be a wonderful thing.

Meanwhile, the conversation between Catherine and Sebastian continued.

Catherine smiled and responded to Sebastian's words, "A wise bird chooses a good tree to nest in. Mr. Kingsley, such a fine tree, how could it lead me astray?"

Sebastian, having tested Catherine's intentions, smiled even more deeply. "So, Ms. Cooper, how do you plan to extricate yourself?"

Catherine released Sebastian's shoulder and smiled brightly, "Just a moment."

Sebastian nodded.

Catherine left the dance floor, and Sebastian naturally followed. After a few steps, Bruce approached.

Sebastian's lips curved into a smile. As expected, someone couldn't hold back.

Bruce's attitude toward Sebastian had completely changed. His previously stern face was now full of smiles, and he warmly patted Sebastian's shoulder. "Mr. Kingsley, how did your conversation with Catherine go? She doesn't easily take to just anyone."

Sebastian nodded, "Ms. Cooper is gentle and beautiful. Such an outstanding woman is not someone everyone gets to meet. I'm honored to have had the chance to dance with her."

"Haha! Mr. Kingsley, you're indeed a smart man! I admire you!"

Sebastian smiled, "Mr. Cooper, you're too kind. Ms. Cooper is a fine lady, and I dare not presume."

"What do you mean by that? Young people today value mutual consent, don't they? Mr. Kingsley, you're so smart..."

Their conversation seemed harmonious, but beneath the surface, many were scheming.

At that moment, Catherine's sudden scream broke the joyous atmosphere in the hall. All eyes turned to her. Catherine's white dress was stained with a large patch of red wine, ruining its original beauty.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. Are you okay?"

The girl holding the empty wine glass kept apologizing, while Catherine smiled and shook her head, "It's okay, just be more careful with your wine glass next time."

The girl was terrified. She had heard that women who stained Catherine's dresses before had met terrible fates. Why was she being so lenient today?

Sebastian was also drawn to the scene. "Mr. Cooper, I'll go check on her."

"Yes, please do," Bruce said, pleased with Sebastian's initiative. It showed he had feelings for Catherine.

Sebastian's tall figure approached, and Catherine, slightly embarrassed, said, "I'm sorry to make you laugh."

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. "Your dress is soaked. It must be cold."

The wine had soaked the area just below her neckline, making the thin fabric even more revealing.

Sebastian unbuttoned his suit jacket and, with natural elegance, draped it over Catherine's shoulders in front of everyone.

Wrapped in Sebastian's warm jacket, Catherine's face turned red, and she looked at him in shock.

"Ms. Cooper, you don't want to catch a cold."

"Thank you."

The guests were stunned, then quickly realized that Sebastian and Catherine had a special relationship.

Sebastian's act of chivalry set the tone for his and Catherine's relationship, and the business banquet took on a different flavor.

Bruce quickly said, "Catherine, go upstairs and change your clothes. Mr. Kingsley, could you accompany her?"

"Of course, it would be my pleasure." With a gentlemanly bow, despite his married status, he left no room for gossip.

Catherine smiled and nodded at Sebastian, "Mr. Kingsley, please."

In front of the guests, the two of them calmly went upstairs.

Though no one said it out loud, after today, the connection between Sebastian and Bruce was established.

Catherine opened the door to her room. "Mr. Kingsley, please come in. I'll change and return your jacket."

"I'll wait here."

Catherine smiled, "What? Mr. Kingsley, are you afraid? Do you think I might take advantage of you? Come in."

Sebastian hesitated but entered, his lips curling into a smile.

Catherine took off the jacket, her dress clinging to her curves. "Mr. Kingsley, could you help me with the zipper? It's a bit difficult."

The zipper was at the back, and Catherine turned around.

Sebastian's long fingers grasped the zipper and slowly pulled it down. Halfway, he stopped and let Catherine continue herself.

His actions were appropriate and respectful, showing his boundaries to Catherine.

Then, Sebastian turned away.

Catherine's red lips curved seductively as she slipped out of her dress, almost naked, and walked up behind Sebastian, wrapping her arms around him.

Sebastian's brows furrowed tightly.

Catherine was being incredibly bold!

"Ms. Cooper, it's cold. You should put on some clothes." Facing away from Catherine, Sebastian's expression was already darkening.

Catherine clung to him, pressing against his back. "Sebastian, I like you. I liked you from the moment I saw you."

Sebastian frowned.

"Ms. Cooper..."

"I know you're married, but I believe you have feelings for me too. Sebastian, it's rare to find a soulmate. Don't you want to seize this opportunity?"

"Ms. Cooper, any man would be captivated by you." Sebastian glanced at his watch. There was one minute left until the hour.

"Sebastian, you have MBK, and I have my father's political influence. Together, we could be unstoppable. Don't you want to see that?"

Sebastian pried Catherine's fingers off and stepped forward. "Ms. Cooper, do you know that liking a flower means picking it, but true love means protecting it? Ms. Cooper, put on some clothes. If you catch a cold, I'll feel guilty."

Catherine's embarrassment turned to emotion. "Alright."

At that moment, Sebastian's phone rang. "What? The project isn't approved? ... The height issue? The building design plan? Wait, I'll be right there!"

The urgency in his voice indicated a serious situation. Sebastian hung up and said, "Ms. Cooper, I have an urgent matter to attend to. I'm sorry, I'll invite you to dinner another day to apologize."

"So urgent? Well, alright, you go ahead." Catherine put on her dress, and they went downstairs together.

The guests' suggestive glances were already telling, especially with Sebastian now smelling strongly of Chanel.

Bruce had his eyes set on Sebastian as his son-in-law!

Sebastian apologized to Bruce and left the party under everyone's watchful eyes.

He had been the center of attention upon arrival, and even more so upon departure.

Outside the villa, Sebastian strode to his car, and Bill quickly opened the door.

"Mr. Kingsley..."

Before Bill could finish, Sebastian tossed his jacket into the car. The black Armani suit reeked of perfume, now all over Bill.

"Find a place to get rid of it." Sebastian snapped.

Dear CEO, Please Be Gentle!
