Chapter 234 Mrs. Kingsley, I won't Let You Go.

"I get it; it must be Jennifer. Her contacting you must've stressed you out. But Brooklyn, how much do you distrust me? Do you doubt I can protect you? Do you really need to compromise for my future? I've worked hard to get here. Trust me, even if you haven't before, give me a chance now. I'll show you I can make you happy." After a long kiss, Sebastian held her face, looking into her eyes and speaking firmly.

Snapping out of it, Brooklyn realized she almost got lost in his eyes and quickly shut hers.

'How did he know Jennifer contacted me? And our conversation details?!'

She panicked. "Sebastian."

"Don't say anything; I won't let you go. No matter where or with whom, I'll find you. Try me."

He wasn't kidding; he could find anyone!

'But tomorrow's the last day He doesn't seem to care.'

He pulled Brooklyn up. "My hand is injured, and you said not to get it wet, so you need to bathe me, Dr. Mitchell."

Sebastian, always decisive, grabbed her wrist and led her to the master bathroom, leaving her stunned!

With the water running, he spread his arms. "Let's start by taking off my clothes."

Brooklyn stayed silent.

An hour later, he came out wrapped in a towel.

Brooklyn, still in the bathroom, looked at the red marks on her neck in the mirror, replaying his roughness and affection.

He had almost crossed the final line in the bathroom!

Afterward, he lounged on the bedroom sofa when the phone rang.

"Mr. Kingsley, you've made things messy, playing the adulterer and the five-year-old friendship. Are you filming a romantic mystery drama?"

Sebastian rubbed his forehead, elbow on the sofa. "Averlake, if it's not important, leave."

"Don't be like that; I care about you. So, who are you with now? Your old lover from five years ago, or your ex-wife from three years ago?"

He felt like punching Averlake.

"Of course, I'm with my lover."

Brandon was surprised. "So, you chose Brooklyn? You don't care about anything else?"

"I'm sure I love her. The rest doesn't matter. I just want to be with her."

Brandon whistled. "Mr. Kingsley is going to be a good husband. Let's toast!"

'I wanted to be with her, but there are still some things to sort out first.

The next day at the hospital,

"Dr. Mitchell, here are the exam forms. Our department's exams are from ten to twelve; I'm so nervous!"

Brooklyn glanced at the forms. "You have to get a check-up every year. Why are you nervous?"

Sienna hugged herself dramatically. "We're drawing blood! It's painful."

Ellie scoffed. "You do that to others every day. Can't they draw yours?"

From eight, Brooklyn had been busy all day. Surprisingly, her phone was quiet with no threatening calls from Jennifer or trouble from Megan.

The sudden silence made her uneasy.

Seeing documents requiring Zach's signature, she left and took the elevator.

Meanwhile, in Piper's office,

Piper listened to Megan's tearful voice on the phone. "Piper, I don't want to live anymore! I've been kicked out of the Kingsley family! I can't accept this!"

She gripped her pen tightly, her gaze cold. "Why were you kicked out? What did Lawrence and Karen say?"

"They're furious! If I can't marry into the Kingsley family, my future will be miserable."

Piper furrowed her brow. "Is Jennifer allowing this?"

Megan cried harder. "She told me to wait and said Sebastian threatened her! How could he?"

Things were getting complicated.

"Sebastian must've found out, so he acted first to stop Jennifer from pressuring Brooklyn. Don't worry, we'll find a solution. Megan, protect your child. It's not over yet."

"Piper..."

"Megan! Remember, your child is Sebastian's!"

Megan gripped the gold-embroidered pillow anxiously, almost tearing the threads. "Yes, Piper, what can we do? Sebastian has suppressed everything about our past from five years ago."

"You should've known his power. Don't worry, I'll think of something."

After hanging up, Piper paced in her office. 'Brooklyn isn't just Megan's enemy; she's mine, too. I won't let Brooklyn have an easy time.'

At that moment, a young nurse approached cautiously, smiling apologetically. "Dr. Rivera, here are the exam forms for cardiology. Our exams start at ten; please be mindful of the time."

Piper responded with a cold "Hmm" and took the forms, placing them on the desk.

She looked at them sinisterly, her fingers tightly gripping the papers.

'Brooklyn, this time, I'll make sure you meet your end!'
