Chapter 157: Two Slaps in the Face for Symmetry
Brooklyn answered the phone, "What's up?"
"Brooklyn, I've missed you so much. Have you missed me?" The bad habits of aristocratic children stuck around.
"It seems like you don't learn a lesson. Do you want to get beaten up by your dad again?" Brooklyn said.
"No, that's scary! How did you know I got beaten up? You live so far away." Quinn replied.
"Not far. From the old mansion to Bayside Villas, it's only a half-hour drive." Brooklyn changed out of her white uniform as she continued the call.
Quinn couldn't match Brooklyn's sharp tongue. "Brooklyn, Brian is on a business trip, and I'm so bored. I managed to come out today. Let's go for a bite! Remember, I saved your life once and got beaten up for it. Don't refuse me, okay? I have no friends in the country, feeling lonely and cold."
"Fine, I have a two-hour lunch break. Hurry up and come over." Brooklyn agreed.
Quinn's ability to complain was impressive!
"Come downstairs! I'll be waiting across from the outpatient department!" Quinn said.
A red Ferrari raced down the road and stopped in front of a high-end Western restaurant ten minutes later. Interestingly, a yellow Ferrari with a very familiar license plate was parked next to it.
What a coincidence!
"Mr. Kingsley is quite adept at wining and dining. What a nice place." Brooklyn teased.
Indeed, it was nice, or else how would they coincidentally encounter Susie's car?
Quinn smirked, "Brooklyn, please come in."
Elegant and luxurious decoration, soothing piano music, and dimmed lighting highlighted the soft glow from the ceiling. The ambiance was undoubtedly perfect for a date.
As soon as Brooklyn entered, she saw Susie sitting by the floor-to-ceiling window, having a meal with a man.
Susie was dressed provocatively and beautifully, her heavily made-up eyes lively and engaging as she conversed happily with the man.
"Isn't that your dear sister? Since we've met, why not sit together?" For Quinn who was always looking for some fun, Susie was a suitable appetizer before dinner.
Brooklyn slightly raised her lips and acquiesced, "I don't care. It's up to you."
With one hand in his pocket and the other dangling the car keys, Quinn exuded a carefree playboy vibe.
"Miss Mitchell, nice to see you again." Quinn walked over, leaning against their table. He deliberately glanced at Susie's low-cut dress.
Susie was quite proud of her beautiful breasts, deliberately lowered the deep cleavage even more, and greeted with a smile. "So it's Mr. Kingsley. We seem to have some fate."
'Nonsense. Susie has a fate with any rich person!' Brooklyn thought.
"Since we have such fate, why not dine together?" Quinn raised his eyebrows mischievously at her.
Thinking he was interested in her, Susie flattered and said, "John, you don't mind, do you?"
The man called John seemed like just one of her many lovers, easily identifiable as cannon fodder. "Of course not, Mr. Kingsley, please have a seat."
Who in Aucester would dare to offend the Kingsley family? Anyone who encountered them must show respect.
Quinn sneered, "Four people sitting would be too crowded. It wouldn't be nice for my esteemed guest."
"Esteemed guest?" Brooklyn was confused.
Brooklyn, carrying a simple black Chloe shoulder bag with a neat and delicate face, said, "Surprised, aren't you?"
As soon as she saw Brooklyn, Susie, through gritted teeth, sneered, "What a bitch! Always bugging Mr. Kingsley!"
She didn't dare to mention Sebastian's hidden marriage. With Sebastian's personality, she wouldn't have enough lives to spare. So Susie substituted Sebastian for Mr. Kingsley.
"Miss Mitchell, you better watch your words!" Quinn warned.
"What's wrong with what I said? That night at the banquet, Brooklyn not only flirted with Sebastian but also with you..."
Before Susie could finish her sentence, a slap landed on her face. Quinn's large hand struck her fair face, leaving five finger marks instantly.
"I warned you, Miss Mitchell. Would you like the other side of your face to have a turn?" Quinn asked.
The restaurant was too quiet, and the commotion quickly attracted the guests. Susie, holding her swollen face, tearfully exclaimed, "You hit me?!"
"So what?" Quinn retorted.
He had endured that slap for a long time! He had wanted to slap her that night at the banquet. Today was her unlucky day.
John hurriedly got up. "Ms. Mitchell, I have to leave."
After saying that, he fled in a panic.
Quinn smirked coldly, "Your taste in men is really bad, Miss Mitchell. Ruining the company is not a big deal, but it's not worth ruining yourself."
With half her face swollen from the beating, Susie, angry and resentful, shouted, "Quinn, she's a demon! Getting involved with her won't end well for you! She seduced Sebastian with this same appearance back then."
With the same force, Quinn's slap landed on the other side of her face again. "Now it's in symmetry, Miss Mitchell!"
