Chapter 146 Whatever You Want, I'll Give You
Her voice grew tense, so tense that she could hardly speak coherently.
Sebastian, with an impassive expression, unbuttoned his white shirt completely. With a sudden shrug of his shoulders, the pure white shirt was yanked off and thrown onto the tiles.
"This bathroom is big enough for both of us. I don't mind you, so you'd better shut your mouth."
Brooklyn submerged herself in the water, leaving only her neck and face exposed. Thankfully, she had added a bubble bath earlier. Otherwise, she would have been utterly embarrassed!
"Sorry, I don't like sharing a bathroom with others. You can go upstairs. Isn't the bathtub in the second-floor bedroom big enough for you?"
"Megan is resting. The quality of a pregnant woman's sleep is important. Do you want me to disturb her?" Sebastian's words were insincere.
Brooklyn felt a pang of bitterness. Ah, that was how it was.
"How touching. In that case, give me a minute, and I'll get out."
Sebastian's thin lips were curled with anger. "Be sensible and lie back down, or I won't let you leave."
Brooklyn had no idea what he was thinking!
Her throat tightened. Could Sebastian want to have sex with her there?
She gritted her teeth. "I have to go to work soon so that you can shower over there. I'll be quick."
Sebastian's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Afraid I'll join you?"
The bathroom was almost open-air. Although no one could look in from the outside, the glass exterior let in the bright morning light. The sight of a handsome man bathing was something Brooklyn dared not look at!
She gritted her teeth and turned her head to the side. He could bathe however he wanted. She refused to look!
Sebastian softly chuckled. Brooklyn's avoidance inexplicably touched a soft spot in his heart. "Look at me."
What a fetish he had.
"Sorry, not interested." She gritted her teeth, feeling parched even though she was soaking in the water.
Fine!
The water level had been just below the edge, but as soon as Sebastian entered, it spilled over in all directions. The bathtub was large, but Brooklyn occupied only a corner. With Sebastian's sudden addition, the space became cramped and confined.
It felt as if he had taken up the entire tub!
Brooklyn bent her legs to avoid contact with him and prepared to grab a towel to cover herself.
Damn it! The towel was on the stand. It was out of reach unless she stepped out of the tub.
Sebastian stretched his long legs, causing the water to spill over the rim again.
"Sebastian, what the hell are you doing? I'm just taking a bath. Why are you making a fuss? If you want to bathe, I'll make way for you." Brooklyn gritted her teeth. Sebastian's way of humiliating her was becoming increasingly perverse!
"Shut up and lie down."
Was he not a germaphobe? Did he not hate physical contact? Was he willing to overlook all that just to humiliate her?
With a gritted tooth and a determined heart, she stood up from the water, swiftly stepping onto the tiles to grab the large towel.
Sebastian leisurely watched her figure. Her slender waist was beautiful and gentle sight to behold in the sunlight. It was a beauty beyond words.
Brooklyn was in trouble.
Her feet, slick with bath liquid, slipped on the water-covered tiles.
In that instant, her slender figure crashed onto the bathroom floor.
"Ah!" Brooklyn groaned in pain. The impact with the tiles nearly knocked her out.
The pain made her want to die.
Sebastian leaped out of the tub, bending down to lift Brooklyn from the floor and holding her against his chest. Both of them froze.
Time stood still between them.
Brooklyn swallowed hard. Her eyes met his deep gaze as her heart felt as if it would leap out of her chest.
In a panic, she struggled desperately in his slippery embrace. "Let me go! I'm done bathing. Let me out."
His breath brushed against her face. "Do you think it's still possible?"
"Sebastian, where are you?" Megan's voice suddenly called from the living room. Her sweet and cloying tone made one feel sick.
Brooklyn smirked. "Mr. Kingsley, your woman is calling you. Aren't you going to her?"
Sebastian frowned. "Woman? You seem to have forgotten your own identity. You are the young madam of the Kingsley family."
Brooklyn gritted her teeth and got her feet on the floor to stand up as she coldly laughed. "Sebastian, now is not the time to emphasize who I am. Get out. Don't keep her waiting. Pregnant women, as you know, shouldn't be anxious or stressed."
Sebastian's long fingers gripped her chin. "You..."
Sebastian thought, 'Do you really not care about who you are?'
However, he could not ask that.
"What about me? I need to get out. If Megan sees us like this, even if nothing happened, it would still be too suggestive."
Brooklyn propped herself up on the floor, turning her back to him. Her perfect figure cast a beautiful silhouette in the light. She then grabbed the towel and wrapped it around herself, securing it to herself by tying a knot at her chest.
Her wet hair dripped water as she smiled with a mix of innocence and allure that also felt detached. "I'll pretend nothing happened just now, and Sebastian, you don't need to take it to heart."
Sebastian was furious. How could she pretend nothing happened? This damned woman. Did she feel nothing for him at all?
Sebastian stood up naked, seemingly on purpose so that he could stand bare before her. Brooklyn caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of her eye and instinctively bit her lip.
To say she had no reaction would be a lie.
"You can't escape, Brooklyn."
