Chapter 409 Having a Great Time Touching

Brian raised his hand and slapped Sebastian hard!

Jennifer, heartbroken, stumbled and blurted out, "Sebastian!"

"Sebastian! Don't forget who your fiancée is! You're supposed to marry Megan. Who gave you the guts to marry Scarlett, who came out of nowhere!"

Sebastian's handsome face suddenly bore the brunt of Brian's full-forced slap, jerking violently to one side. At that moment, scarlet blood trickled from his thin lips, with the crimson strands hanging at the corner of his mouth, adding even more to Sebastian's wildness and commanding presence.

He raised a hand and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. His cold eyes were filled with murderous intent as he looked at Brian, as if he were looking at an enemy, who always stood in the way of his pursuit of happiness.

"Dad, I hope that slap was enough to vent your anger. I'll take on all the losses for the project, but when it comes to Scarlett, I won't back down."

Sebastian was no longer the patient, defeated person who once passively accepted others' arrangements. He wouldn't allow himself to make mistakes again, nor would he let anyone else succeed at his expense.

Not even his father.

Brian was trembling with rage, pointing a shaking finger at Sebastian's nose, his bloodshot eyes filled with fury. "Sebastian, how dare you talk to me like that! "

Brian indeed had not given Sebastian the right to openly defy him, but that didn't mean Sebastian couldn't grow into someone capable of standing up to Brian. The abilities he now possessed were no less than Brian's.

In other words, MBK Group could do without Brian, but it couldn't do without Sebastian.

So, no matter how angry Brian was, he would never fire Sebastian.

He feared that if he did, Sebastian would really leave MBK Group.

Brian clutched his heart, his face turning pale from the pain. If Jennifer hadn't supported him in time, he would have collapsed to the ground.

"Get out of here!" He pointed to the door, shouting at Sebastian.

Sebastian didn't forget their relationship. Even though Brian treated him that way, he still maintained his composure and said, "Alright."

His calm and polite farewell only further infuriated Brian, causing his chest to heave violently. Brian was nearly driven to death by him.

"Ungrateful son!"

The curses echoed behind him, but Sebastian didn't slow his pace.

He couldn't help but chuckle. Who had forced him step by step to the edge of rebellion? It was Brian.

Taking advantage of the moment when he was at the brink of death and completely unaware, Brian made a decision on his behalf. While he was entirely unconscious, Brian even took his hand and pressed his fingerprint!

If he was an ungrateful son, then what kind of father was Brian?

Thinking of this, Sebastian's anger nearly erupted.

"Sebastian." A voice cut through the air as Quinn hurriedly caught up, blocking Sebastian's hand from opening the car door, pressing down heavily on his hand.

Sebastian frowned, looking up at Quinn with the same cold voice as before, "If you're here to persuade me, don't bother." With that, he tried to open the door.

"No, I'm not interested in the conflict between you and Dad, nor do I care about the project's fate. I want to ask, Sebastian, are you really going to marry Scarlett?"

Quinn's eyes were fixed on Sebastian, hoping to see a hint of a joke, hoping that this was all a ploy to deceive and anger their father. But there was none.

Sebastian released his grip on the handle and, with a gesture, patted Quinn's shoulder. "I know what you're thinking. Marrying Scarlett isn't a betrayal of Brooklyn. I'm also not using Scarlett or trying to spite Dad. I'm very serious."

Quinn's hand trembled uncontrollably, his muscles tensing, his Adam's apple bobbing several times. "Why? Just because her voice is similar to Brooklyn's?"

Sebastian knew what Quinn felt for Scarlett, just as he had always known Quinn's feelings for Brooklyn. But he had to shatter Quinn's hopes once again, even though it was cruel. "Quinn, Scarlett is Brooklyn."

"Sebastian! You know I like Scarlett! Why would you do this?" Quinn nearly went mad, clenching his fists in anger and kicking the lawn furiously.

Sebastian's eyes narrowed slightly. "What I mean is, Scarlett is actually Brooklyn. The Brooklyn who fell off the cliff two years ago. Scarlett's true identity is Brooklyn. Understand?"

Quinn was stunned!

He was completely shocked, every cell in his body seemed to explode and churn. "What did you say? Sebastian, you..."

Sebastian nodded, patting Quinn's shoulder. "I'll tell you the details later. Just remember, Scarlett is Brooklyn. There are still some issues to resolve, but it won't take long."

Quinn felt as if he had been trampled by a thousand horses, pain radiating from inside out.

What kind of joke was this!

Sebastian extended his hand, his gaze resolute. "Give me the ring. I'll give it to Scarlett."

Quinn gritted his teeth, looked up at the sky, clenched his fists, and stomped his feet!

He was overwhelmed with emotions, almost driving him mad! He was furious! But the undeniable truth lay before him.

His eyes burned as if on fire. He roughly wiped away his tears, yanked off the glass chain, and threw both the chain and the ring into Sebastian's hand. "Sebastian, you guys really know how to play a joke on me."

Mixed with helpless and heartbroken, Quinn didn't know how to describe his current feelings.

Sebastian also didn't know how to comfort him. Loving someone was never a fault, especially considering Quinn's feelings for Brooklyn, which he understood well.

"I'm sorry. In the future, if you ever need my help, I will do everything I can for you."

A promise, as firm and resolute as a steel blade embedded in rock.

In Sebastian's private villa, it was very quiet. The night was deep, and the lights in Scarlett's room on the second floor were already off. Sebastian opened the car door but didn't rush inside. Instead, he stood on the garden path, looking up at the closed window. The heavy curtains blocked everything, not even a shadow could be seen.

Taking a deep breath, he climbed the steps.

He opened the door. The chandelier in the hall was off, only a floor lamp was on, illuminating a small area. On the glass table, there was a cup of tea still warm.

The tea was half-drunk.

So, Brooklyn must have been sitting on the carpet, drinking tea alone just now?

Sebastian picked up the half-drunk tea and took a sip. It had a faint bitterness, refreshing and not overwhelming.

He put down the tea and went upstairs. When he passed Scarlett's room, he paused but didn't knock. He just quietly looked at the door for a while.

Just knowing she was sleeping inside made Sebastian feel at ease.

Tonight, Scarlett tossed and turned, unable to sleep. She kept turning over and over, but couldn't resist getting up, walking barefoot to the door, and pushing it open.

Coincidentally, Sebastian was right outside.

Scarlett was so startled she almost screamed. Sebastian, clearly not expecting her to open the door, pretended to be just passing by, looking very natural.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

Sebastian replied, "I just got back and passed by your bedroom door. Did you open the door so promptly to invite me in?"

"You shameless!"

Scarlett wanted to say that, but when she looked up and saw Sebastian's obviously bruised and slightly swollen face, she asked, "Did you get into a fight?"

Sebastian found it both funny and exasperating. At his age, did she really think he went out to brawl in the streets at night?

But how else could he explain it? Could he possibly admit that he was beaten by his own father?

So, the clever Sebastian didn't answer.

Scarlett looked at his face, guessing he had been slapped. "It'll bruise by tomorrow. It'll look bad. You need to disperse the blood."

Sebastian, like a child who had suffered a great grievance, nodded.

"Go back to your room. I'll get a warm towel." Scarlett said.

Sebastian remained silent.

Fine, he chose to cooperate. Whatever she said, he would comply.

Scarlett quickly returned with a basin of warm water and a towel, entering Sebastian's bedroom.

As expected, he was leaning cooperatively on the sofa. Unexpectedly, he had taken off his jacket and was only wearing a shirt.

"The injury is on your face, not your body." Scarlett tried hard not to let her gaze wander over his body, but damn it, Sebastian had an incredibly good physique. And as she got closer, his strong pheromones seemed to invade her senses.

However, Sebastian casually retorted, "I'm in my own bedroom. Any problem with that?"

Scarlett wrung the towel forcefully, pulling at the wound on her arm, causing her to wince in pain.

Sebastian frowned, snatching the towel from her and wringing it himself. "Do you get stupid when you get angry or excited?"

Scarlett bit her lip, glaring at him, "So what?"

Sebastian handed her the wrung towel and then closed his eyes, waiting for her care. "Nothing, just makes me worry. If someone deliberately provokes you, who knows what you'll do in a fit of rage."

"That's none of your business."

The warm towel touched his skin. She gently massaged, dispersing the blood, skillfully and tenderly.

Sebastian enjoyed her tenderness, feeling it was worth dying for. "How can it not be my business? Who was it that, in a fit of anger, handed over her engagement ring?"

Scarlett's hand paused. "How do you know?"

Her ring was with Quinn. Damn, she had forgotten. She was supposed to return to Emporcia tomorrow.

"Don't stop. It wouldn't be good for my handsome face to have a bruise." Sebastian continued.

Scarlett remained silent.

She wanted to strangle him! This narcissist!

Sebastian still had his eyes closed, his expression suddenly softening as he spoke, "I got your ring back. It's in my pocket. I can't get it out. You'll have to do it."

Really?

Scarlett, who had been worried just moments ago, was now overjoyed.

"Alright!"

Her joy overwhelmed her rationality. Scarlett eagerly reached into his left pocket.

The ring was a small item, easily slipping to the bottom or getting stuck in a seam. Her small hand diligently searched his pocket.

As she continued to search, Scarlett's face turned red.

"Liar! It's not here at all!"

Sebastian, however, opened his half-closed eyes, looking at her flushed face with a half-smile, "Not in that pocket. It's in the other one."

"Why didn't you say so earlier!" Scarlett wanted to smother him with the towel!

Sebastian raised an eyebrow, "Why should I? Weren't you enjoying yourself?"
