Chapter 233 Only One Day Left

Brooklyn was freaked out and speechless.

Sebastian grinned, "Told you so."

She was so overwhelmed by him today, feeling like her heart was splitting.

He handed her a glass of water, "Here, drink this."

She gulped it down.

'Isn't this change in Sebastian a bit too sudden?'

"Sebastian, don't scare me like this. I can't handle it," she said.

She was scared to get too attached, knowing love can come and go quickly.

After tonight, she only had one day left.

He put down his utensils and wiped his mouth, "I can't wait to make up for three years in one day. I want all of your reactions."

'What else can I say?' She felt uneasy from the meal.

After dinner, they walked back to the parking lot. He couldn't drive and had sent the driver away, so she drove instead

With her hands on the wheel, she didn't know where to go.

In the passenger seat, he said, "Head to Bayside Villas."

Sensing her hesitation, he added, "Don't worry, I don't want to see anyone you don't want to see."

'What does he mean?'

When they got home, Megan was gone. Her stuff was gone, with Brooklyn's photos on the walls for the first time!

In the living room, her trinkets from her rented place were on the coffee table, while her ceramic dolls were next to shelf's expensive porcelain.

'Did he move my stuff here?!' She looked around, feeling like she was dreaming.

He took her hand and showed her the room. "Looks like they did a good job. This is our home; your things should be here."

She looked at him in surprise, "When did you do this?"

He raised an eyebrow. "Probably while we were watching a movie or having dinner."

'So, he planned all that so his people could move my stuff? And he got rid of Megan?'

The servants said in unison, "Mrs. Kingsley, do you need anything?"

"No, nothing. You can all rest now."

Sebastian led her upstairs, stopping at the bedroom door. "Megan used to live here, but I replaced everything. Except for the house itself, which can't be torn down immediately."

Brooklyn's emotions had been all over the place all day, leaving her too exhausted to think straight.

She quickly snapped back and said, "Replaced everything? Megan touched you, too."

He laughed, "If you mind, I can shower more. However, I can't be replaced."

He blocked the door with his body, "I'm your irreplaceable husband. Who can replace me?"

He playfully poked her nose.

Inside, everything was new: curtains, bed, sofa, wardrobe, carpet—everything!

Besides the house itself, there was no trace of yesterday left.

And the main color was her favorite crystal purple. After the initial shock, Brooklyn felt puzzled.

"Sebastian, aren't you worried people will laugh at you for this room decoration? A girly purple style doesn't suit you, Kingsley Group's president."

"Who'd dare do that?" he said.

Brooklyn looked up, "I dare!"

He went silent.

Alright, since she dared to, he'd let her mock him.

"Then go ahead and mock me for the next few decades."

She was momentarily stunned, speechless.

The night was beautiful with the moonlight enchanting, and the light purple curtains fluttered in the breeze. In the large bedroom under the crystal chandelier, Sebastian and Brooklyn's photos adorned the walls. Despite not having any pictures together, their presence was clear.

Sebastian hugged her waist, "Consider this your home, so stop resisting."

Brooklyn teared up, and her nose stung with emotion.

'It's the last day. Should I resist or give in?'

"Sebastian, will you forget me?" she asked while lying in his arms, enjoying his affection like she had stolen someone else's treasure.

Just for one day, let her enjoy being loved.

"No. How could I forget you? You are my wife."

She closed her eyes, hot tears rolling down, "Sometimes, forgetting is a good thing."

He frowned, "What's wrong? Why are you saying such strange things again?"

She sniffled, "Sebastian, promise me one thing. I've never asked you for anything before, right?"

"What is it? Tell me first."

"No, you have to promise me first."

He had a bad feeling about this, "If you don't tell me, I won't promise."

"This time, you have to promise first. Then I won't do it again."

Her insistence wore him down. "Alright, I promise."

She snuggled closer into his arms, "In the future, no matter what happens, don't hurt yourself. Take care of yourself. No one is indispensable. Be with the kind of woman you like, but..."

Before she could finish, he kissed her!

'Fool, what nonsense is she talking about again?!' Sebastian thought.
