Chapter 442 The Beast Makes Breakfast for the Rabbit

The next day, early morning, Brooklyn woke up feeling sore all over.

Last night, her husband had been like a beast, taking her countless times.

Sebastian...

Brooklyn turned her head and was startled to see a pair of deeply affectionate eyes gazing at her, almost making her cry out in surprise.

It had been so long since she had woken up to find someone lying next to her! This suddenly appearing, incredibly handsome man, though attractive, was still quite frightening!

Gasping, Brooklyn pounded her fist on Sebastian's chest, "Why didn't you make any noise? You scared me to death."

Sebastian caught her hand and kissed it in his palm, "I was too tired last night, didn't have the energy to make a sound."

He deliberately gave a mischievous smile, his deep eyes full of tenderness, looking exceptionally charming in the first light of dawn.

Brooklyn pouted, "You still have the nerve to say that? You were too wild last night! My waist feels like it's going to break."

She twisted her waist uncomfortably, and her body brushed against his, skin to skin, igniting a fiery heat.

In an instant, it almost rekindled Sebastian's desire.

Sebastian cradled her head in his arm, looking at her with near indulgence, never getting enough of her, "But you are so enchanting. I couldn't stop, didn't want to let you go, really want to have you a few more times."

Brooklyn's face turned bright red at his words, wanting to turn her head away but his hand wouldn't let her, so she could only scold him shyly and angrily, "You were too wild, didn't you know I haven't had sex in over two years, so it hurt, really..."

Her seemingly casual remark shocked Sebastian, who was holding her.

Sebastian's back stiffened suddenly. What did she just say? No sex for over two years?

Could it be that when she was with Kevin, they never had sex? Brooklyn was still the same Brooklyn as before?

Was that really true?

Even though he had accepted the worst, hearing her say that, he couldn't help but feel a surge of uncontrollable joy! He was very happy, extremely happy!

Seeing his changing expression, Brooklyn frowned, "What are you thinking about? Smiling so sinisterly? Are you plotting something bad?"

But Sebastian hugged Brooklyn tightly, holding her firmly, "I'm very happy, Brooklyn."

His sudden statement left Brooklyn a bit at a loss, so she let him hold her tightly, "A well-fed beast is of course happy, but poor me, this little rabbit, hurts all over."

Sebastian laughed, "Good bunny, I will personally make you breakfast and take you to work later, to make it up to you."

After a while of tenderness, Sebastian got out of bed to wash up and then went downstairs to make breakfast.

Brooklyn watched Sebastian's departing figure, dragged her tired body up, and lifted the blanket to see the red marks on her body, "Definitely a beast, pent up for over two years, and let it all out yesterday."

But thinking of last night's tender embrace, she smiled sweetly.

They had shared many intimate moments, but none compared to the perfection of last night, the perfect experience of mutual penetration and fusion, truly unforgettable.

Brooklyn didn't let Sebastian take her to work; instead, they went to different place.

The reason was simple, she said, "I'm your wife, not a child. I need my own space and independence, I don't want to be independent."

Sebastian agreed readily, "With such a capable wife, I need to work even harder."

A black and a white car each drove off in different directions.

"Scarlett, you are so famous! As soon as the job posting went up, thousands of people applied! Oh my God, if we have to interview them one by one, we'll be exhausted!"

Brooklyn opened the computer screen, showing the number of resumes submitted, "Three thousand five hundred and sixty, indeed, quite a lot. Have you filtered them? How many are qualified for an interview?"

Lisa snapped her fingers, "Cory and I have already filtered them, there are still over three hundred, but that's still a lot."

Brooklyn nodded, "No problem, I'll filter them again. By the way, When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow afternoon."

After thinking for a moment, Brooklyn said, "Time was tight, I'll give you the interview list in an hour, and those who pass can come for the initial interview this afternoon. Can you and Cory help me with this last task?"

"Of course! We'll wait for your message."

To save time, Brooklyn quickly scanned through the three hundred resumes. It was actually quite simple; she only needed to look at the categories she needed most.

Two hours later, Brooklyn handed Lisa a list of qualified interviewees, with only ten candidates.

From over three thousand to ten, and then selecting two from them, the best of the best.

Lisa quickly called the qualified candidates, and all ten confirmed they would attend the interview.

Just getting to the initial interview was already a huge recognition for them! So all ten candidates took this opportunity very seriously.

At noon, Brooklyn held a brief meeting with cardiac surgeons. During the session, she and Zach demonstrated seamless coordination. The questions and solutions they proposed aligned perfectly, requiring no adjustment period, and could be immediately applied to clinical treatment.

Everyone in the meeting couldn't help but marvel at the tacit understanding between them, but they all knew that the Scarlett sitting before them had been bound by Sebastian with a sky-high wedding ring on her ring finger the previous night.

An one hundred seventy-six million dollars wedding ring! And now it was casually worn on her finger, as if it were just an ordinary ring to her.

Of course, such sensational news was known to Zach as well.

So, everyone tacitly kept silent, and no one brought up the matter.

In the afternoon, the interviewees arrived at the hospital one after another.

Lisa, Cory, and Brooklyn stood in the operating room, letting the interviewees in one by one.

On the operating table lay a cadaver used for experiments, and the interviewees had to perform a live emergency heart surgery on it in front of them.

This type of surgery wasn't particularly difficult but was perfect for testing a doctor's reaction and adaptability, making it ideal for an interview.

"Next, Arabella Warner." Lisa called out.

Arabella took a deep breath and walked into the operating room when her name was called.

For the first time, she saw Brooklyn standing right in front of her, wearing a white lab coat.

Their eyes met, and Arabella was speechless.

Scarlett was her idol! Not just hers, Scarlett was practically the idol of the entire cardiothoracic surgery field. So many people aspired to be like Scarlett, a role model, hoping to become her student.

Moreover, Scarlett was a beauty in the medical world! She looked even more beautiful and graceful in person than in photos! The white lab coat looked perfect on her, absolutely perfect!

Now, Arabella was face-to-face with Scarlett!

Arabella's heart was racing!

Seeing Arabella in a daze, Brooklyn's somewhat cold voice reminded her, "Arabella? You can start now."

"Start? Okay, okay!" She laughed nervously, unable to resist looking at Brooklyn again, "My Goddess! You're even more beautiful in person! If I become your assistant, I promise to take the best photos of you! Your previous photos really don't do you justice!"

Goddess? That sounded familiar.

Brooklyn couldn't help but smile, "Start your surgery first, we'll talk if you pass."

"Okay!" Arabella dressed properly, picked up the scalpel, and skillfully opened the cadaver's chest, her movements surprisingly adept.

Brooklyn and Lisa exchanged glances.

"Arabella, if the patient's heart stops during surgery and vital signs disappear, what would you do?" Brooklyn asked.

Arabella answered while continuing the surgery, "There are two types of cardiac arrest, and the treatment plans differ. First..."

She answered the question methodically, without any disruption in her actions.

Brooklyn smiled, continuing, "If a patient refuses treatment but can be cured through medical means, what would you do?"

Arabella replied, "If the patient refuses treatment because they don't want to live, I would respect their wish, as forcing them to live would be meaningless. If it's due to financial reasons, I would find a way to help them."

The surgery ended amidst the Q&A, and Arabella skillfully sutured the cadaver, her actions not at all like a graduate student still in school.

Arabella removed her mask, "My Goddess, I have a question for you too."

"Oh?" Arabella was asking the examiner a question?

Arabella looked into Scarlett's eyes, "If the success rate of a surgery is only one percent, would you still insist on performing it?"

Brooklyn couldn't help but smile, "A one percent success rate? Arabella, if you're talking about cardiothoracic surgery, I can assure you that in my practice, there are no surgeries with a one percent success rate for any heart condition."

Arabella suddenly hugged Brooklyn, "You really are my goddess! Let me be your assistant."

Brooklyn was caught off guard by the hug, "Arabella, let go first. I'll get back to you with the results soon. Calm down."

"I trust the your judgment!" Arabella adjusted her glasses, her eyes smiling beneath the frames.

Brooklyn let out a surprised sound. "Next, Jake Harris."

The candidate named Jake had fallen asleep on the bench outside due to the long wait. Lisa had to call him several times to wake him up.

Leaving such a poor first impression even before the interview started, with Scarlett's temperament, she definitely wouldn't want someone like that.

Jake stretched and stood up, "My turn?"

Jake, in a white lab coat, leisurely stretched his limbs.

"Yes, please come in." Lisa nodded.

Jake entered the operating room, saw Brooklyn, and nodded nonchalantly, "Hello, the legendary doctor."

Brooklyn chuckled, "From your tone, it seems you're not very convinced."

The Jake in front of her, according to the information, was about twenty-six or twenty-seven, similar in age to herself. But seeing him in person, he seemed even younger. His half-open, half-closed eyes showed disdain, and although he had a clean, handsome appearance, his demeanor was far from commendable.

Jake smirked, "Whether I'm convinced or not, I need to see for myself."

He was quite bold!

Brooklyn put her hands in the pockets of her lab coat, her expression serious, her tone slightly cold, "Start your surgery!"

Dear CEO, Please Be Gentle!
