Chapter 304 Megan Has a Plan
'Sebastian called Brooklyn's name. Even in this state, she's still buried deep in his heart! I can't accept that there is no place for me in Sebastian's heart. Beyond the frustration, there's this gnawing unease. If Brooklyn's the only one he cares about, what am I supposed to do? Even if Brooklyn got kicked out of the Kingsley family, I still won't have no place in Sebastian's heart. I don't just want to drive Brooklyn away but also want Sebastian to despise her, to make Brooklyn a forbidden topic, never to be mentioned again.' Thinking of this, Megan clenched her fingers, secretly picked up her phone, and walked to the balcony to call Piper.
Piper had just reached the hospital and was watching the news about Sebastian's hospitalization on her phone when Megan's number popped up.
"Piper, where are you?"
"I'm at the hospital. I saw the news. How's Sebastian? Is he awake?"
"Not yet. Piper, I need to talk to you about something, and I need your help." Megan whispered, covering the phone with her hand and leaning against the railing to make sure no one could hear her.
"What is it? Spill." Piper didn't take the elevator, sensing that Megan had something serious to say.
Megan glanced around and said, "Piper, Sebastian's only got Brooklyn on his mind. Even if she died, he wouldn't love anyone else. So before Brooklyn gets kicked out of the Kingsley family, I want to completely trash her reputation, make it so she can't show her face in front of Sebastian or the Kingsleys ever again."
Piper reached the fourth floor, a sly smile forming on her lips. "What's your plan?"
Megan gritted her teeth, saying, "My child."
Piper's eyes narrowed, her eyebrows arching. "You mean use your child to make her lose her place completely?"
Megan nodded. "Exactly. I can't hide this forever. Might as well use this child for the greatest impact. Piper, tell me how I can protect myself while having a miscarriage."
Piper pressed her fingers to her forehead. "Are you sure? Miscarriage is really hard on your body."
"I'm not afraid. Just tell me!" Megan thought, 'This time, I have to win. I've lost every battle with Brooklyn, but this time, I have to come out on top!'
"Alright, wait for my message."
After hanging up, Megan dialed another number. "Valery, got any dirt on Brooklyn? Don't worry about anyone. Let the reporters publish it. I'll protect them. Sebastian's out cold and can't do anything about it. Just do it!"
"Okay! There's plenty of dirt on Brooklyn that the media's been sitting on because of Sebastian. We'll publish it now while we can." Valery said.
After hanging up, Megan took a deep breath and turned to head back to the living room, only to see Jennifer standing there!
Megan froze, her phone slipping from her hand and crashing to the ground. Her mouth twitched before she managed to speak. "Mrs. Kingsley, when did you wake up?"
Jennifer rubbed her forehead. "Just now. Who were you calling? It's so hot on the balcony. Why not make the call inside?"
Her tone was calm, like she hadn't heard a thing. Megan forced a smile. "I didn't want to disturb you and Sebastian. It was nothing important, and it's already taken care of."
She bent down to pick up her phone, the screen shattered.
Jennifer didn't press further. She was more worried about Sebastian, who still hadn't woken up. She sat on the sofa, holding his hand, murmuring, "Why aren't you waking up? Sebastian, you're making me worried."
Megan stayed quiet, not daring to say anything, and stood by her side.
"Brooklyn hasn't come, has she?" Jennifer mentioned Brooklyn's name coldly, her tone unreadable, not entirely disdainful but not accepting either.
Megan's expression softened. "No, she hasn't. There are people outside keeping her away. She'd only disturb Sebastian's rest. It's better if she stays away from him."
