Chapter 347 Take Her to the Villa
MBK Group International Building, President's Office.
Sebastian suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest. His fingers clenched the pen tightly, sweat beads forming rapidly on his forehead, drenching half his face.
Seeing this, Dario unscrewed a medicine bottle, poured out two white pills, and brought them to his mouth. "Mr. Kingsley, take your medicine quickly."
Sebastian took a sip of water to swallow the pills, then leaned back in his chair with some difficulty, his long fingers clutching his chest, his face turning a bit pale.
Dario gently massaged his chest, anxiously asking, "Mr. Kingsley, it's been several months without any issues. Why is this happening all of a sudden?"
Sebastian closed his eyes, his brows furrowed tightly, his voice not yet fully calm. "I'm fine."
Two years ago, his heart was injured, and after repeated torment, it hadn't healed well. It was said to be an external injury, but it was more of an internal one because if he didn't think about Brooklyn, his heart wouldn't hurt.
Just now, he thought of Brooklyn. Every time Sebastian thought of her, the excessive longing would cause angina, and at its worst, his whole body would convulse.
'Why do I suddenly think of Brooklyn? Was it that woman's influence?' Sebastian wondered.
"Mr. Kingsley, you gotta see a doc. There's gotta be some meds or stuff that can help you out," Dario suggested.
Facing daily risks of attacks for decades? Sebastian couldn't handle that.
Sebastian took a few deep breaths, wiped the sweat from his face with a gray checkered handkerchief. "Nah, no point. Docs can fix bodies, not hearts."
A physical ailment and a broken heart were very different.
Dario had a lightbulb moment. "Mr. Kingsley, do you know a doctor named Scarlett Taylor? She's like, super high-end, but they say she's a medical wizard. Maybe we should get her to check you out."
'Scarlett Taylor?' Sebastian frowned, very resistant to cardiologists right now, not even wanting to hear the word "doctor".
Sebastian said nothing.
"There's a heart specialist conference at Aucester Hospital. George got her to agree to come. If she's there tomorrow, maybe you could ask her to check on you. It wouldn't be a bad idea, right?" Dario said.
Sebastian lazily tapped his forehead with his finger, his deep voice saying. "Tomorrow?"
"Yes, at the conference hall in Aucester Hospital. Should I go over then?" Dario asked.
Sebastian nodded, not really expecting much. He'd been through countless exams; one more wouldn't change anything. "You go to the conference in person and send me a video of Scarlett's presentation."
"Yes, sir!"
Waving Dario away, Sebastian adjusted his breathing and sat up straight, his hand inadvertently touching the wallet in his pocket. He pulled out a membership card for Appearance Restaurant, his expression becoming somewhat inscrutable.
The conference went on as planned. Scarlett and her two assistants arrived at Aucester Hospital on time, and George personally welcomed them along with the hospital's senior leaders and the head of cardiothoracic surgery.
Scarlett's arrival was a pleasant surprise to industry insiders and quite shocking. No one expected the highly skilled doctor to be such a young and beautiful woman.
Not only were the experts shocked, but Dario, hidden among them, was also puzzled. 'Scarlett isn't an old woman? She's this young and beautiful! She looks to be in her twenties, with bright eyes, glowing skin, and incredibly long legs wrapped in pants! Her figure is comparable to a model's! Such a beautiful woman as a doctor, wearing a white coat, will drive people crazy.'
Dario praised her while secretly recording a video of Scarlett's speech, which he successfully sent to Sebastian's phone.
Sebastian casually picked up his phone. From Dario's description, he also thought Scarlett was a woman over forty, but as he saw the video, his eyes narrowed tightly, a cold light flashing from his deep eyes. After a moment of surprise, he gripped his phone, thinking, 'It is her. The woman I met at the restaurant.'
"By any means necessary, bring her to the villa," Sebastian ordered.
'Sebastian is indeed interested! Great!' Dario thought. "Yes, sir."
"And don't reveal my identity to her in advance."
"Yes!"
The conference ended smoothly, and Scarlett left the meeting room amidst a round of applause. As before, she declined dinner and cocktail invitations and headed straight to the parking lot with her assistants.
But just as she reached the lobby, a figure blocked her path.
Dario bowed slightly, smiling politely. "Dr. Taylor, may I invite you to see a patient?"
Scarlett looked at Lisa, as if to say, "Who is this person? Where does he come from, and where should he go back to?"
Lisa and Cory blocked Dario outside. "Sorry, sir, Dr. Taylor is only attending the conference this time, not seeing patients."
Scarlett indeed had a distinctive and grand presence.
"Dr. Taylor, this person fully meets your criteria for a house call, whether in terms of financial power or impact. Please, come with me," Dario said.
