Chapter 130 Sharing a Bed
This statement left Brooklyn utterly shocked. Why did Sebastian suddenly make this decision? Had he lost his mind?
They had been married for three years, and living apart, even sleeping in separate beds. This had long been an unspoken rule. Yet today, he suddenly wanted to break this pattern. Was it a test? A seduction? A humiliation?
Brooklyn's expression changed with the suspicions swirling in her mind while the tall and sexy Sebastian had already stepped into the bathroom.
The sound of running water from the bathroom provided a soundtrack to Brooklyn's wild thoughts.
At this moment, Sebastian's phone, placed on the nightstand, rang. Brooklyn craned her neck to see who it was and found that it was Megan's call.
Brooklyn glanced at the bathroom door, smiled meaningfully, and reached out to pick up his phone, swiping to answer.
"Sebastian, you're not asleep either? Do you miss me? The baby and I miss you very much," Megan said coquettishly.
The sickly, sweet voice coming through the receiver was absolutely nauseating, making Brooklyn frown as she continued to listen quietly. How exactly had Megan seduced him?
"Sebastian, today's photoshoot photos are out. The pictures turned out beautifully, and I know you'll love them. I've seen the layout of the house over at the villa, and I had two copies of this photo made. One can be hung on the hallway wall of the villa," Megan continued talking.
Did she want to hang the photo in the villa? The villa was Sebastian and Brooklyn's marital home, and Megan wanted to interfere there, too.
There was no response from the other end. Megan checked her phone screen; Sebastian hadn't hung up.
Megan inquired, "Mr. Kingsley, are you listening?"
Brooklyn leaned against the bed, her lips curling into a cold smile. "Sebastian is in the shower. If there's something you need, as his wife, I can relay the message."
Megan was taken aback, her previously sweet voice turning into a shout, "Brooklyn! Why do you have Sebastian's phone? Are you at the villa?"
Brooklyn looked at the bathroom door. "Not only am I at the villa, but I'm also in the same room as Sebastian. He's taking a shower right now. Do you want to hear the sound of the water? Even the sound of the water in the bathroom is quite sexy."
Megan grabbed a pillow, her fingers digging into the gold-embroidered edges so hard that she nearly tore the threads. "Brooklyn, you bitch, put down Sebastian's phone!"
"Megan, save your strength and take care of yourself. Otherwise, when you hear us making love later, I'm afraid you won't be able to handle it," Brooklyn teased.
Brooklyn calculated the time Sebastian would take to come out of the shower. She needed to hang up before then.
Megan threw the pillow onto the floor. "Brooklyn, how dare you seduce Sebastian? What, are you planning to use those same dirty tricks from back then? You shameless bitch!"
Brooklyn sneered, "Megan, I know exactly what tricks you used to manipulate him into having sex with you. If you don't want to insult yourself indirectly, you'd better keep quiet."
The sound of water in the bathroom stopped, and Brooklyn knew she had to end the conversation.
Megan inquired, "Brooklyn, even if you use your old tricks, it won't work. Sebastian won't leave me and the baby!"
Brooklyn replied, "Well, I wish you luck. Being his mistress isn't too bad. If you're nice to me, maybe when Sebastian wins back custody, I'll be a good stepmother to him. And Megan, it's really not polite to disturb someone's sex life at night. You should get some rest."
With that, Brooklyn hung up.
Just then, Sebastian emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel. His hair was still damp, and the white towel hung loosely around his hips, swaying slightly with each step as if it might fall off at any moment. He looked incredibly seductive.
"Megan called just now," Brooklyn said, continuing to read her book as if nothing had happened.
He didn't react much. "What did she say?"
Brooklyn was straightforward. "She just wanted to express how much she misses you."
Sebastian frowned. "Brooklyn, are you even a woman?"
Or rather, was she his woman?
Brooklyn lifted her head from the book. Every time she saw his body, her mind went blank, so she quickly looked away. "Are you planning to share a bed with a man tonight?"
Sebastian really wanted to strangle her!
"Brooklyn, you're asking for trouble, you know that?" he warned angrily.
It was ten o'clock at night. Brooklyn bit her lip, put the book aside, and said, "I know what I'm doing, Mr. Kingsley. Thank you for buying such a big bed. We can each sleep on one side; it's very spacious."
She avoided lying on her injured arm as she slid under the covers, lying stiffly on the edge of the bed like a wooden plank.
On the king-sized bed, she took up only a small corner. Her slender figure seemed to hang on the edge, leaving a vast, empty space for Sebastian.
Sebastian pulled off the towel. Under the bright lights, his naked body was as perfect as a David sculpture!
He was so sexy and alluring that it was hard to look away.
Under the luxurious crystal chandelier, he was irresistibly attractive.
Brooklyn thought, 'I can't keep being mesmerized by his looks.'
Sebastian's lips curled into a smirk. "Your expression gives you away. You really like my body."
Brooklyn stiffened her neck. "I also like eating beef!"
Sebastian was speechless.
She used only a corner of the double blanket. He reached out, lifted the blanket, and got in. He frowned deeply; for the first time in his life, he thought a single bed would be better.
They were so far apart; how could this be considered sharing a bed?
Sebastian looked unhappily at the small bump on her side of the bed and said in a low, cold voice, "Come here."
Brooklyn struggled internally. She wasn't pretending to be coy; her arm was injured, and she wanted to recover quickly. But Sebastian's stamina during sex would inevitably cause her further injury.
She thought about it and decided she couldn't compromise.
