Chapter 580 Open the First Entry Point

The next morning, Brooklyn woke up at 7:30 AM.

She pulled back the covers and saw Ronnie still snuggled up, his round little head peeking out, his tiny mouth slightly pursed. He was so adorable that she wanted to scoop him up and never let go.

It was the first time she had been this close to a child, hearing his heartbeat and breathing right next to her. For a moment, Brooklyn felt like Ronnie was her own child.

She chuckled at the thought. Was she really longing for one now?

As she was lost in her thoughts, Ronnie stirred in her arms, sleepily opening his innocent eyes and looking up at her. "Ms. Mitchell, good morning!"

Brooklyn gently touched his cheek. "Good morning, Ronnie. Did you sleep well last night?"

Ronnie nodded, replying in a sweet, childlike voice, "I slept very well, Ms. Mitchell. You smell so nice, even better than my mom. I want my mom to use the same perfume."

Brooklyn felt an indescribable joy and sweetness at Ronnie's compliment.

"Should we get up now? I'll take you back to the hospital to see your parents today, okay?"

"Okay," Ronnie agreed.

A two or three-year-old child didn't know how to dress himself, but fortunately, his clothes from yesterday were clean and dry. Brooklyn awkwardly helped Ronnie get dressed.

His round head, big eyes, and pink little mouth made him look like a little girl. Brooklyn thought to herself, 'Kids these days are growing up so cute, each one more adorable than the last.'

She couldn't help but imagine what a child with Sebastian would look like.

With Sebastian's strong genes, the child would definitely be good-looking, at least with beautiful eyes, a nice nose, and a handsome chin.

If they had a boy, she hoped he would look more like Sebastian, with defined features and a masculine vibe.

If they had a girl, she hoped she would look more like herself, as sharp features might not suit a girl.

Thinking about this, Brooklyn smiled to herself.

Maybe it was because she had reached a certain age and experienced certain things that she wanted to change her identity and have a complete family, which included a child.

"Ms. Mitchell, what are we having for breakfast? I'm hungry." Ronnie asked.

"What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you. Eggs, bacon, toast, or something from Liberty?"

Judging by Ronnie's clothes and the attire of the other three, it was clear they weren't from an ordinary family. The limited edition designer shoes on the little boy's feet alone were worth thousands of dollars, something a regular family couldn't afford.

As expected, Ronnie had his own preferences for breakfast, saying, "At home, I usually have eggs, bacon, and toast. My mom likes these too."

"Alright, we'll have eggs, bacon, and toast this morning."

In the kitchen, Brooklyn prepared eggs, bacon, and toast. The two of them enjoyed their breakfast at the table, chatting and laughing.

Brooklyn grabbed her keys and took Ronnie back to the hospital. Despite being tired from staying up late and waking up early, Ronnie was full of energy, chatting nonstop about kindergarten and family stories, making Brooklyn laugh, and driving away her fatigue.

But Brooklyn didn't expect to see a swarm of reporters outside the hospital as soon as they arrived.

The reporters were interviewing the nurses and doctors with their cameras and microphones.

"How is the son of the Director of Planning and Development, Eugene?"

"Are the couple in critical condition?"

"We heard their child was also in the accident. Has he been rescued?"

A barrage of questions left the doctors and nurses stunned.

Director of Planning and Development Eugene's son?

Brooklyn furrowed her brows deeply. Could the people brought in last night be related to Eugene?

She thought about it. She knew most of the high-ranking officials in Aucester, even if she hadn't met them, she knew their names. But Eugene didn't ring a bell.

At that moment, a reporter's voice came through the microphone, "Miss, Aqua Vista City's Director of Planning and Development, Eugene, has only one son. With such a serious accident, the media is very concerned about his condition. Please tell us the truth."

So it was Aqua Vista City's Director of Planning and Development. Brooklyn furrowed her brows even tighter. The media often blocked hospital entrances to dig for news, severely affecting the patients' emotions.

Some unscrupulous reporters would go to extreme lengths to find sensational topics and news.

Brooklyn left Ronnie in the car for a moment, instructing him, "Ronnie, stay here and wait for me. I'll be right back."

Ronnie obediently nodded, "Okay."

Brooklyn strode to the hospital entrance, slipped into the crowd, and sharply said, "This is a hospital, not a media circus. You all need to leave, now. There's no Eugene here, just patients who need peace. If you disrupt their recovery, can you handle the consequences?"

Seeing that the person speaking was Sebastian's wife, the reporters didn't dare to push back. Soon, security personnel arrived and escorted the reporters away.

Brooklyn then instructed the doctors, "No media or reporters are to be entertained or answered."

"Understood."

Brooklyn added, "Mr. Gutierrez and Mrs. Gutierrez are still in critical condition. Make sure they are not disturbed by anyone. Any major issues can wait until they wake up."

"Understood, Dr. Mitchell."

"And if he really is Eugene's son, saying the wrong thing could have serious consequences. Do you understand?"

The doctors, intimidated by Brooklyn's presence, nodded in agreement, "Yes, Dr. Mitchell, we won't say anything."

Thanks to Brooklyn's intervention, the reporters didn't get any photos of Eugene's injured son or any useful information. The matter was temporarily suppressed at the hospital.

Brooklyn took a deep breath. Eugene's son, this was a lot of pressure!

Brooklyn planned to privately contact Leroy's parents in Aqua Vista City when her phone rang.

It was Sebastian.

Why was he calling so early in the morning?

She answered the call, and before she could speak, she heard Sebastian's voice, "Hey, is Eugene's son and daughter-in-law at Aucester Hospital?"

"Honey, your information is too accurate. The reporters haven't even published anything yet."

So it was true.

Sebastian confirmed, his tone filled with relief, "His name is Leroy Gutierrez, Eugene's son. The child in the photo you sent me yesterday is Eugene's grandson, Ronnie. Take care of the child for now and keep the reporters under control. Don't let any information leak."

The call was somewhat confusing, and Brooklyn was a bit bewildered by his words. "Sebastian, what's going on? Aren't you in Aqua Vista City for a project? Why are you concerned about Eugene? Is he related to the project?"

"Yeah, the project has hit a snag, and we might need Eugene's help. But Eugene is stubborn. This incident might be a good entry point. Darling, doing good deeds really pays off."

"Sebastian, no need to flatter me. We're a team, no need for formalities. I'll help you with anything I can. Don't forget, your business is my business. My good deeds count for you too." Brooklyn laughed at the end, her clear and pleasant voice warming his heart. He laughed too, "Alright, darling, your good deeds count for me."

After ending the call, Sebastian contacted Bill, "Bill, get the car ready. I'm visiting Eugene today."

"Understood."

With one entry point among the five people, things became simpler. Sebastian had to tackle them one by one.

The silver Bentley headed to Eugene's house, with Sebastian bringing high-quality coffee and gifts for Eugene.

It wasn't about bribing, but Eugene would understand the gesture.

Seeing Sebastian at his door, Eugene was surprised. "Mr. Kingsley, why are you here personally?"

Sebastian nodded gracefully, "Mr. Gutierrez, you're always busy. I feared you wouldn't have time to meet outside. I have a can of top-quality Kopi Luwak and would love to chat over coffee. Do you have time?"

Since Sebastian had come to his door, Eugene couldn't refuse. He invited him in, and soon the coffee was ready. The atmosphere in the living room was relaxed and pleasant. Sebastian was skilled at conversation, effortlessly making Eugene laugh heartily.

Halfway through their chat, Sebastian noticed a family photo in the living room and became excited. "Mr. Gutierrez, the child in this photo looks familiar. I feel like I've seen him somewhere."

Eugene looked fondly at the child in the photo, "He's always at home. How could you have seen him?"

Sebastian shook his head, insisting, "I'm sure I've seen him. Look."

He showed Eugene the photo on his phone, the image of the innocent little boy with big eyes, wearing his clothes.

Seeing Ronnie in Sebastian's phone, Eugene's face changed dramatically, "How do you have his photo? Where is Ronnie? Who took this photo?"

He knew Leroy and his wife had taken their two children to Aucester yesterday, but he hadn't expected this photo to be taken last night...

His expression turned serious, his breathing heavy. Eugene became wary of Sebastian, who calmly sipped his coffee and smiled, "What a coincidence. This child was with my wife last night."

Eugene stood up abruptly. "Sebastian, what are you trying to do? Are you threatening me?"
