Chapter 406 Blood Test Success, Identity Confirmed

Piper felt as if she had been struck by lightning! Sebastian was going to test Scarlett's blood, which meant her identity could no longer be hidden or covered up!

Her rare blood type was an undeniable fact. Once Sebastian and Scarlett knew, no matter how much her appearance had changed, it wouldn't stop him from recognizing her.

Piper's face turned pale, her eyes widened, and her lips trembled unnaturally. She reached out to grab Scarlett's arm, "The blood draw room is on the first floor. Let me take you there, Scarlett."

Scarlett worked here. How could she not know where the blood draw room was? Not only did she know, but Sebastian was also likely very familiar with it.

As for why he had specifically asked Piper earlier, Scarlett had no way of knowing for now. However, Sebastian won't do anything unnecessary.

Scarlett shook off Piper's hand with a wave, smiling politely and distantly. Her nearly perfect face showed a sincere and courteous smile, without a hint of disrespect. "Dr. Rivera, I know the way to the blood draw room. You're so busy, there's no need to trouble you."

Piper's hand dropped weakly, her face still pale, and sweat was already forming on her forehead, hidden by her bangs. "I forgot, Dr. Taylor also works at this hospital. You wouldn't not know the way."

Sebastian, with one hand in his pocket, grabbed Scarlett's hand with the other and strode towards the blood draw room, as if afraid of missing something if he was a step too slow.

Piper stared blankly at the backs of Sebastian and Scarlett as they left, unable to recover from her shock and fear for a long time.

Closing her eyes, she tried to control herself and not lose her composure. It wouldn't happen. Even if Scarlett knew she was Brooklyn, she couldn't recover her lost memories.

Even Zach hadn't suspected her, so no one else would. Brooklyn had accidentally fallen off a cliff and died, it had nothing to do with her!

Even if it concerned her, she could always shift all the blame to Jenny.

She would be fine.

Out of Piper's sight, Scarlett forcefully shook off Sebastian's hand. Her fingers, held tightly by him, felt a slight pain. Scarlett frowned and scrutinized him, "What do you mean by this?"

Sebastian no longer hid anything, "I want to confirm something. It's important to both you and me. I need to know your blood type."

Scarlett was taken aback, then smiled, "Mr. Kingsley, you're really strange. One moment you suspect I'm your wife, the next you want to know my blood type. What exactly do you want?"

Sebastian didn't waste words, pulling her arm and pressing her onto a chair. "Whether it's true or not will be clear after the blood test. I'll prove my intuition is right. Scarlett, do you dare to bet?"

His eyes were filled with hope and anxiety, looking at her with such certainty that it made her heart tremble. All her evasive words turned into silence. "This is the last time I'll cooperate with you."

"Alright!"

The cold syringe pierced her skin, and bright red blood slowly flowed from her arm. Scarlett gently grasped his hand.

"I want the results as soon as possible. If there's any mistake, you'll pay a price you can't afford." Sebastian leaned on the glass counter, his sharp gaze making the nurse tremble. Holding the blood sample with both hands, she nodded woodenly, "Mr. Kingsley, rest assured, you'll have the results shortly. Please wait."

He didn't allow her to have breakfast, hurriedly drove to the hospital, and even had her blood drawn. Even the strong Scarlett couldn't bear it. She blinked her eyes, her gaze drifting to her injured arm, then back to Sebastian, who was like a lion, almost scaring the nurse to death.

"Sebastian, aren't you afraid of making the nurse cry?"

"Compared to ending her career forever for a mistake, having the chance to cry now is a good thing." Sebastian sneered.

Scarlett immediately understood him.

When he found out Brooklyn had been misdiagnosed with AIDS, he had destroyed an entire hospital. His methods were truly terrifying.

Scarlett pouted, "Sebastian, what about the breakfast you mentioned? Can we eat after the blood draw?"

Sebastian grabbed her hand and took long strides, not giving her any explanation, heading in a specific direction.

Scarlett was exasperated, "Sebastian, what are you doing now?"

"Going to the lab to get the results quickly, then we'll eat." He didn't want to wait, not even for a minute. He wished his eyes could see through everything to prove Scarlett was Brooklyn!

The blood test results would be out soon. Sebastian walked quickly, and when he reached the lab door, the nurse was coming out with a printed report. Seeing Sebastian's tense face, her knees almost buckled. "Mr. Kingsley,  this is Dr. Taylor's blood type report."

Sebastian clutched the test results tightly in his hand. Upon reading the contents, his tense face finally eased into an unprecedentedly relaxed smile. Even though he was already confident, having the proof in hand couldn't hide the excitement in his heart. Scarlett was indeed Brooklyn!

"Now, do you still want to deny it?"  Sebastian held up the test report, waving it lightly in front of her. Seeing the results, Scarlett was shock. She couldn't believe it!

Impossible! When she was hospitalized in Averlake, the doctor's test results showed she had a common AB blood type. Why did the result now show she ha  rare RH-negative blood type?

The striking words represented a fact that hit her deeply, even involving a vortex she didn't know how deep it went.

Her blood type was fake, so the hospital in Averlake had deceived her.

No, not just that. If they could lie about her blood type, what about everything else?

Her lost memories, everything suddenly imposed on her, her appearance, her identity—how much of it was rea?

Scarlett's eyes widened. What shocked her was no longer the established fact of her RH-negative blood type, but the turmoil in her mind that she could no longer calm.

Who was deceiving her?

Sebastian thought Scarlett would throw herself into his arms upon seeing the results, but her expression cut him like a knife. "Scarlett, what's wrong?"

Scarlett was trembling all over, like a child standing in the freezing cold, using the last bit of warmth to protect herself.

She looked up blankly, her mouth moving several times, her fingers clutching Sebastian's sleeve. "Are you lying to me?"

"What I'm saying is absolutely true. Your real identity is Brooklyn Mitchell, my wife. Over two years ago, you had an accident in Jabari. Do you want to hear about it? Once you calm down, I can tell you everything in detail."

Scarlett's head felt like it was splitting, she couldn't think, couldn't calm down, she even couldn't breathe!

She almost tore Sebastian's sleeve with brute force, forgetting about the wound on her arm. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Sebastian, don't joke with me. I can't handle it."

If what Sebastian said was true, it meant everything she had now was fake—her parents, her identity, her name, her fiancé, even her face. Everything was fake!

The worldview she had built over the past two years would collapse.

Sebastian cradled her head, holding the trembling Scarlett tightly in his warm embrace, soothing her softly. "Don't be afraid. I'm here. No matter how terrible, I'll be with you. I know you can't accept it right now, but it's okay. I'll give you time."

He stroked her hair and patted her back, giving her all the protection he could.

Scarlett buried her face in his chest, tears she couldn't hold back soaking his suit. Her small hands clutched his lapel, silently shedding tears.

The hallway was quiet, with only the sound of their breathing. No nurse or doctor dared to come near. In the empty hallway, Sebastian's shoulders supported the world for both of them—warm, solid, and reliable.

Once she calmed down, Scarlett pulled away from his embrace, her red, swollen eyes filled with bloodshot veins. "Sorry for dirtying your clothes."

Sebastian shook his head, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. "It's an honor for my clothes to wipe your tears. Making you cry is my failure."

Scarlett opened her mouth but said nothing.

Seeing her confusion, Sebastian patiently explained, "I won't force you to admit you're my wife right now. After all, you have no memory of me."

Scarlett lowered her head. "I'm sorry. I need to sort out my life."

Her life was completely off track.

"Alright, I'll give you time."

Scarlett was grateful for Sebastian's generosity and indulgence at this moment, as well as his affection. It felt unfamiliar yet not at all repulsive, as if he had done it countless times before.

"Sebastian, I don't remember you. So whatever we had before, I don't know. My feelings for you are gone too." She cried.

Sebastian wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with his thumb, bending down to look into her red eyes. "None of that matters. I believe you'll fall in love with me again and choose me."

"I..."

He patted her shoulder, giving a slight smile. "Not hungry anymore? Let's go. I promised you a special breakfast."

She had already forgotten it.

It was indeed a special breakfast, one Scarlett had never had in her memory.

They walked into The Breakfast Klub at the hospital entrance. As they opened the door, the customers and staff inside froze for a few seconds.

Weren't these two the top tycoon Sebastian and the rising star surgeon Scarlett?

They actually came here to eat?

The shop was going to be famous!

Sebastian walked in, standing tall at the counter. Before he could say a word, the manager came over, bowing and scraping. "Mr. Kingsley."

"I want to dine here." Sebastian's simple statement made the manager immediately understand.

"Of course, Mr. Kingsley, please have a seat."

They had just sat down for less than a minute when the previously bustling shop suddenly emptied.

Scarlett poked her forehead with her finger, laughing at Sebastian's intimidating presence. "Sebastian, you're scary. As soon as you show up, everyone runs away?"

Sebastian crossed his hands, resting his elbows on the table. For the first time in his life, entering such a humble restaurant, he hadn't intended to clear the place. The owner was just very flattering. But since it made the tearful Scarlett smile, it was worth it.

"It seems you've hit the mark. Am I such a plague that you're afraid of me?"

Scarlett shrugged. "Why should I be afraid of you?"

Sebastian nodded, smacking his sexy lips. "True, it's not you who should be afraid of me now, it's me who should be afraid of you. I also have to please you."

Sebastian straightened the menu. "The classic breakfast here is Fried Catfish & Grits with iced lemon tea. How would you like to pair it?"

Scarlett said, "Oh? What's the best pairing?"

Sebastian put down the plastic breakfast menu and smiled. "The best pairing isn't the breakfast but the person you share it with."
