Chapter 114 David Also Knows the Truth

Yvette had a hectic day, training newbies and handling handovers. Nothing came easy.

"Yvette, this is Dr. Valdemar. She'll be taking over your shift. Show her around and introduce her to the job."

Yvette was momentarily stunned, then realized she had overreacted. Dr. Valdemar just happened to share the same last name, and that was it.

Yvette nodded, "Okay, Director."

Dr. Valdemar was a petite, lively girl. Once the Director left, she started to show her nervousness.

Yvette walked her through the daily tasks, and they headed outside to get familiar with the entire medical evaluation center.

North Airlines, being one of the top airlines in the country, had top-notch facilities and equipment in its medical evaluation center. Dr. Valdemar looked around curiously.

"I didn't expect the medical center to have such professional equipment. It's really impressive!" Dr. Valdemar exclaimed. "Dr. Orlando, North Airlines seems great. Why are you leaving?"

"For personal development. I want to go back to working in a hospital."

Although Yvette didn't really want to answer personal questions, she casually replied and joked, "I thought being an aviation doctor would be easier than working in a hospital, but I was wrong. No job is easy."

"Now you're making me worried!" Dr. Valdemar asked, "Is the work usually very busy?"

"Our center is understaffed, but it should get better once you all settle in."

"That's good. So, what's the Director like? Are they strict?"

"No, everyone is pretty easygoing."

Yvette took Dr. Valdemar around the medical center. When they reached the physical examination department, they ran into a few North Airlines captains coming for their check-ups, which made Dr. Valdemar excited.

"Dr. Orlando, it seems like you get to see a lot of captains coming for check-ups here. Such a wonderful job, and you really decided to leave it!"

Dr. Valdemar's tone was somewhat exaggerated, making Yvette a bit embarrassed.

She pursed her lips and subtly said, "I'm married."

"That's a pity." Dr. Valdemar couldn't help but glance at the captains a few more times. "It would be great to marry a captain."

Yvette frowned slightly and cleared her throat softly, "Later, you'll come with me to a plane to replace the first-aid kit."

"Okay!"

Yvette carried the medical kit to the airport, with an obviously excited Dr. Valdemar beside her, clearly not for the upcoming work task.

The airport was crowded, and Yvette kept looking around to protect her medical kit, trying not to bump into others.

Just then, a male voice suddenly called out, "Yvette!"

Yvette turned around, wondering who was calling her, and met David's eyes.

Yvette was stunned, "David?"

Yvette didn't expect to see David here. It had been so long that she thought she would feel estranged, but seeing his warm smile brought back a familiar feeling.

She carefully handed the medical kit to Dr. Valdemar behind her, "I ran into a friend. Just wait for a moment."

Before Yvette could move, David had already come over.

Tall, with a face like Albert's, but David looked with a different hairstyle and demeanor.

David's eyes softened immediately upon seeing Yvette. "It's been so long. You haven't changed a bit."

Yvette smiled and joked, "You look much more composed."

"Are you saying I look old?"

"Don't twist my words."

Seeing the close relationship between the two, Violet stood there in a daze.

Violet thought, 'David? He wasn't Albert, but looked exactly like him.Is this Albert's brother?'

Violet looked at David, a man with outstanding looks and excellent temperament. Although David looked exactly like Albert, he lacked that cold aura. Even when facing her, a stranger, he was distant yet polite.

At this moment, David's eyes and brows were filled with a gentle smile, his nose was straight, and his deep eyes were looking at Yvette, sparkling with the joy of reunion.

Violet then realized that David and Albert even had different hairstyles, but she had been too anxious and mistook him.

Actually, Violet knew Albert had a brother.

Back then, when they had just become close friends, she paid attention to Albert's every move and expression. So when Albert was in a bad mood all day, Violet sensed that something was up.

Sure enough, when a luxury car drove out of the school, the surrounding students started gossiping.

"Is that Albert's parents?"

"Seems like his stepmother."

"A stepmother is still a mother. His dad looks familiar, where have I seen him before?"

"You've seen him. Their family company was on TV recently, and his dad appeared as a board member."

"Now that you mention it, I remember. Is Albert's family that rich?!"

"Of course, he's handsome, smart, and comes from a wealthy family. He's a real winner in life."

"You can't tell he's from a rich family. His clothes are so ordinary, you wouldn't know he's wealthy!"

"You don't get it, that's called being low-key."

Violet had no mood to listen further; she just wanted to know why Albert was unhappy.

When Albert came to her, she hesitated for a long time before asking, "I heard your parents came to school today?"

Albert stiffened, his expression resistant, not answering, but looking even more upset.

Violet knew he was unhappy and didn't dare to ask more.

After going home, she was still worried and subtly asked her parents.

But the Valdemar family seemed to avoid talking about such family matters, so she couldn't find out much.

When Violet asked, Mr. Swift only told her this.

"James has two sons, but I heard he doesn't get along with either. One seems to be your classmate, and the other is in boarding school. Anyway, he doesn't have any kids around him."

Albert had never mentioned having a brother. It was only after her father told her that she knew Albert had a brother. But since Albert didn't seem willing to talk about it, Violet didn't ask further.

She just didn't expect that Albert and his brother David were twins!

Back to reality, David was still chatting with Yvette.

"You've grown up and become quite a beauty. I remember you were a very wild girl when you were young."

Violet had been wondering how Yvette knew Albert's brother so well. With this sentence, she immediately understood.

It seemed that the countryside that summer had not only Albert but also David.

So he naturally knew everything that happened back then.

Violet's breathing became involuntarily rapid and thought, 'Could David's return now be the trigger for Albert to regain his memory?'
