Chapter 615 A Quiet Request for Intimacy

Yvette tilted her head back to look up at Albert, her eyes filled with anxiety.

Albert lowered his gaze to meet hers, their eyes locking together.

A slight smile tugged at the corner of Albert's lips as his arms encircled Yvette's waist, offering her warmth and security. "They have their plans," he murmured softly, "and I have mine."

Yvette's brow furrowed, confusion and unease clouding her expression. "What plan?"

Albert lowered his head, gently pressing his forehead against hers. "This plan requires your cooperation."

His voice was deep and tender, resonating with strength and determination.

Though Albert hadn't revealed the details of his plan, she somehow felt his unwavering resolve and confidence.

He had always been a man of decisive action—he must have already devised a solution.

Yvette's restless heart seemed to calm at the sound of his voice. When she looked at Albert again, her gaze had grown considerably more resolute.

Albert gently stroked her long hair, taking a deep breath before speaking softly,"I need your help with something... something only you can give."

Yvette nodded emphatically, her trust absolute.

As if pledging her loyalty, she said earnestly, "Alright. Whatever you need me to do, I'll do it."

Albert chuckled softly, reaching up to brush a strand of Yvette's hair aside. Her hair was silk-smooth, carrying a faint, sweet fragrance.

He caressed the silky strands, then lowered his head to place a gentle kiss on Yvette's forehead.

"Sleep."

Yvette blinked in confusion. "Sleep?"

"Yes."

Albert held Yvette close as he rose from the sofa, striding purposefully toward the master bedroom.

The moment the bedroom door clicked shut, realization dawned on Yvette.

Albert wanted her to be intimate with him.

The air around them seemed to thicken with tension. Their heartbeats intertwined, causing a blush to spread from Yvette's cheeks to her ears.

Albert leaned over her, and Yvette instinctively wrapped her arms around his waist, gazing up at him with bright, dewy eyes.

"What are you doing?" she whispered with mock reproach.

Yvette's voice was soft and melodious, tinged with coquettish sweetness that made Albert's body tense instantly.

Albert felt waves of warmth assault his rationality. His eyes darkened, his breathing became rapid and heated, and his gaze burned with barely contained desire.

Albert's palm slowly glided through Yvette's hair, his fingertips tracing along her ear.

In that moment, it felt as though a gentle breeze, warm and tender, swept across her neck, making her instinctively scrunch her shoulders.

"It's broad daylight," Yvette protested shyly, pushing against him with her arm. "We'll need to have dinner soon, and BoBo and CiCi are still waiting for us outside."

Albert didn't answer her protests, merely raising an eyebrow slightly. "Didn't you just promise that whatever I needed you to do, you'd do it?"

"I meant if your plan needed my help, I'd do it!" Yvette felt his increasingly heated breath and grew even more flustered. "No."

But Yvette's words only seemed to fuel the fire. Albert said seriously, "This is part of my plan. I need you to see it through."

With that, Albert gave Yvette no chance to escape, capturing her soft lips with his own.

Sunlight filtered through the hospital windows, casting dappled patterns across the quiet obstetrics waiting room.

Violet sat there, clutching a medical form tightly in her hands. Her face bore traces of tension, while her eyes flickered with stubborn determination.

She had accepted the possibility that she could never bear children a thousand times over, only to reject that acceptance a thousand times more, refusing to acknowledge it.

Violet handed the completed form to the nurse, who guided her through a series of examinations.

Despite the invasive procedures that filled her with both physical and psychological dread, Violet persevered.

She wanted the chance to become a mother.

After all the tests were completed, Violet took her medical reports and made her way to the consultation room.

The office door slowly opened, and Violet took a deep breath before walking inside.

The doctor smiled warmly as she took her seat, then began carefully reviewing her medical history.

The room fell silent except for the rustling of papers being turned.

The doctor looked up, his eyes showing genuine concern. "Ms. Swift, have you had previous examinations?"

Hearing the doctor's words, Violet's heart sank halfway to her stomach.

When a doctor asked such questions, it meant her situation remained grim.

Violet lowered her gaze and nodded. "Yes."

The doctor sighed regretfully. "Based on your current test results, your infertility is unfortunately very difficult to reverse."

Violet's heart plummeted, but she maintained her resolute gaze on the doctor. "I understand, Doctor. I want to know if there are any treatment options that could improve this situation."

She paused briefly. "As long as there's even the slightest hope of pregnancy, I'm willing to try any medical technology available. Money is no object!"

Violet still clung to a thread of hope.

As a woman who had once carried a child—even if it was that bastard's—her maternal instincts had already taken root and flourished within her.

Though the baby was never born, her longing for motherhood had never faded.

"Medical technology—you mean?"

"Could I do IVF?" Violet looked at the doctor hopefully.

As long as she could have a child through in vitro fertilization, Violet would accept it completely.

The doctor shook his head with a hint of helplessness. "Ms. Swift, you have to understand—carrying a child isn't that simple. Your uterus has suffered severe trauma and simply can't bear the strain of pregnancy."

Still unwilling to accept this, Violet pressed on, "What if we didn't use my uterus? I could go abroad and pay someone...”

She trailed off, unable to say the word "surrogacy."

The doctor sighed deeply. "That would be extremely difficult as well. The problem isn't just your uterus. In your current state, your body can't even ovulate."

Even though she had heard this answer countless times before, it still felt like a devastating blow to Violet.

Everyone kept telling her it was impossible.

But letting go was something she simply couldn't do.

Violet gazed at the doctor in a daze, her eyes empty. "So… there's really no hope at all?"

Seeing the desperation in Violet's face, a flicker of compassion crossed the doctor's eyes.

He reached into the deepest corner of his drawer and produced a business card. "If you're truly set on becoming a mother, you might want to try this option."
