Chapter 339 These two kids should get used to it sooner. I am your husband!
During those two years, Albert would almost always drop her off downstairs and leave immediately. Several times she took a few steps and looked back, but his car had already sped away without any hesitation. Eventually, she stopped looking back.
Forcing a bitter smile, Yvette's lips barely moved. Knowing her refusal wouldn't change anything, she silently pulled away, not letting Albert hold her anymore.
Albert naturally noticed her small movement, but he was already satisfied both mentally and physically, so he didn't force her.
Seeing Albert's satisfied face, Yvette couldn't help but feel a bit worried.
Fortunately, when they went upstairs, there was no scene of the two children rushing out to hug her.
A servant tiptoed out of the children's room. "Mr. and Mrs. Valdemar, the two children are already asleep."
Yvette finally breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "Good."
Yvette turned back, her face cold as she said to Albert, "Since you've already dropped me off, you can leave now."
Albert didn't realize she was trying to send him away and slowly spoke."They're asleep?" Albert's voice carried a hint of a smile.
He didn't say much, but Yvette's face turned red instantly.
Yvette glared at Albert, and he immediately raised his hand, grabbing her chin completely ignoring the servant nearby. "Since they're asleep..."
Yvette's face turned red, and just as she was about to interrupt him, the door that had just closed suddenly opened.
"Mommy!"
Yvette was stunned and turned around to see the two children staring at them in confusion, seemingly not understanding their intimate posture.
Yvette hurriedly pushed Albert's hand away and squatted down to hug the two children. "Babies, why are you awake?"
BoBo and CiCi were visibly unhappy, hesitantly hugging Yvette.
"Mommy, you're finally back." CiCi buried her face in Yvette's neck. "You said you would play with us, but then you disappeared."
BoBo looked warily at Albert and asked Yvette, "Mommy, did Uncle Albert borrow you?"
Yvette's throat tightened, and she instinctively looked up at Albert. "Yes, Uncle Albert had something to do today, so he asked Mommy to help."
Yvette gave Albert a look, afraid he would say something in front of the children.
To her surprise, Albert just raised an eyebrow and said meaningfully, "Yes, your mommy did help me a bit today."
Those words, which only adults could understand, made Yvette feel embarrassed.
Yvette pretended not to understand. "BoBo, CiCi, it's very late now. If you want to grow tall, you need to go back to bed quickly!"
BoBo's eyes were still wary, and he clung tightly to Yvette's neck as if afraid Albert would "take" her away again. "Mommy, I want you to sleep with us."
CiCi also held onto her, unwilling to let go. "Me too, I want Mommy to sleep with us!"
"Okay, Mommy will." Yvette patted their heads and gently comforted them, "You two go back to bed first, Mommy will change clothes and wash up, then I'll come, okay?"
CiCi nodded, rubbing her sleepy eyes and walking back to the room with her short legs.
But BoBo was unwilling. "Mommy, can I go with you?"
CiCi stopped, though reluctant, she followed BoBo's idea despite her sleepiness. "Mommy, I'll go with you too!"
Yvette couldn't help but smile. "Aren't you sleepy?"
"Not sleepy." BoBo was clearly exhausted but still kept his eyes wide open. He looked up at Albert standing nearby and asked Yvette, "Mommy, when will Daddy take us back to Stellaria?"
"When will Daddy get better?" CiCi pouted, already a bit upset from sleepiness, and her eyes turned red. "I miss Daddy..."
Their unusual behavior made Yvette's heart ache. They believed David was their dad and were openly hostile towards Albert. Kids didn't hide their feelings, so it showed.
Yvette guiltily hugged CiCi and comforted her, "Be good, CiCi, let Mommy take you to bed, okay?"
Yvette took BoBo and CiCi's hands and led them to the room.
David had returned to Stellaria, and she didn't have time to be with them. Even the servants taking care of them had been changed multiple times. Since their birth, this had never happened.
They were at an age where they lacked a sense of security, and she should spend more time with them.
BoBo tightly held Yvette's hand and looked up at her. "Mommy, aren't you going to wash up?"
Yvette answered, "Mommy will sleep with you first."
BoBo nodded, breathing a sigh of relief as if he had achieved his goal. "Thank you, Mommy."
Yvette's nose tingled. "It's what Mommy should do. It's Mommy's fault."
Yvette bent down, holding the two children's hands as they walked into the room. BoBo looked back, warily glancing at Albert.
Despite the age difference, the child had a territorial look just like David's. He was definitely David's kid!
Albert's expression darkened. He saw how much Yvette loved her kids. Though he knew he should accept everything about her, he couldn't stop the growing resentment. The kids' hostility and their possessiveness over Yvette felt like a threat.
Albert looked away, his eyes gradually becoming clear.
These two children couldn't stay; they had to be sent back to David.
Yvette put the two children to sleep, and it was already past eleven.
After an intense session of lovemaking, she was already sore and weak, and now she felt even more exhausted.
She still felt something was off with her scent, so she walked out of the room, planning to take a shower before sleeping. As soon as she stepped out, she saw that ghostly figure.
Albert hadn't left.
Yvette frowned. "Why are you still here?"
Sensing her cold gaze, Albert slowly walked up to her. "A few hours ago, you weren't like this. Why are you resisting me again?"
Yvette said, "If you know I'm resisting, why haven't you left?"
Albert looked at her intently. "I'm not planning to leave."
Yvette was stunned. "What?"
Albert slowly said, "I'm staying over."
This sentence instantly ignited the anger in Yvette's heart.
She glared at him, gritting her teeth, and suppressed her emotions, lowering her voice. "The children are here, Albert, what did you promise me?"
Albert nonchalantly curled his lips and said, "These two children should get used to it sooner. I am your husband."
