Chapter 630 A Beach Day for Our Family of Four

Seeing the mischievous smile playing at Albert's lips, Yvette's heart began racing, a soft blush spreading across her cheeks.

She tried to hide her embarrassment, but her bright eyes betrayed her completely.

She lowered her head, unable to meet Albert's gaze—it would only make her pulse quicken even more.

Yvette quickly reached out to push the soup bowl away. "I didn't notice what was in it. Don't drink that."

"Oh really?" Albert's eyes danced with amusement. "And here I thought you brought it back and heated it up specifically for me to drink more of it."

With that, Albert immediately reached for the soup bowl, trying to pull it back toward himself.

Yvette instantly went on high alert, shaking her head frantically and pulling the bowl to her side of the table, using both arms to shield it from his reach.

If Albert drank that soup tonight, she really wouldn't get any sleep.

Albert without any extra help was already more than she could handle.

With the soup… Yvette tried to shake the thought from her mind, but the images were all too vivid.

"You can't drink it. Too much of that stuff will only make you way too energetic."

Albert caught the look on her face and couldn't help but laugh. He knew she was embarrassed and didn't dare let him have the soup.

He raised an eyebrow, teasing, "But how can I waste Grandma's thoughtful gift?"

Yvette shot back, "It's fine. I'll drink it for you."

Albert grinned, "That's not a good idea either. If you get too much energy, you might not get any sleep tonight, either."

"What?" Yvette blinked, confused.

Albert's eyes locked on hers, his voice dropping, "I'll keep you company."

Yvette quickly shook her head. "Forget it, let's just let it go to waste. We don't need any more… energy."

She hurriedly whisked the bowl away, and Albert just watched her, a small smile lingering on his lips.

He said casually, "Don't worry. I don't need any soup to keep up with you."

Yvette looked at him, puzzled. "Keep up with me?"

Albert's gaze turned playful. "Trust me, I don't need any soup to keep you satisfied all night long."

Yvette's face turned crimson. "Even eating can't keep your mouth busy! Just eat your dinner. I'm going to check on the children."

With that, Yvette hurried away from the table toward BoBo and CiCi's room.

Albert chuckled softly, taking his dishes to the kitchen, where he spotted the steaming soup bowl.

Albert paused thoughtfully, his eyebrow quirking upward as he picked up the soup.

Regardless of everything else, he couldn't disappoint the effort Cheryl had put into having the soup made, or Yvette's trouble in bringing it home and heating it up.

That night.

The bedroom was filled with a cozy warmth.

Albert and Yvette lay on either side of BoBo and CiCi, helping them settle down for sleep.

To Yvette's gentle humming, both children slowly closed their eyes and drifted into dreamland.

Yvette blinked and whispered to Albert, "I need to use the bathroom."

Yvette quietly got up, slipping on her robe, and carefully opened the door before stepping out.

Albert remained lying in bed, gazing at the children's peaceful faces with eyes full of love and tenderness. He gently stroked their hair, feeling their steady breathing and the warmth of their small bodies.

This was the only way he could truly convince himself of his happiness.

How could the old Albert have ever imagined such a day would come?

He looked up at the night sky through the window, where the moon hung high and stars twinkled with gentle light.

Even though he and the children had missed over three years together, Albert still felt deeply grateful.

Grateful that Yvette had survived and returned to his side, grateful that BoBo and CiCi were his biological children, grateful that Yvette had told him the truth about everything.

Those lost years would remain in his heart forever, driving him to love them twice as much.

Albert looked down at the children's serene faces, his emotions stirring as he gently adjusted their blankets.

Whether the children weren't sleeping soundly or his movements weren't quite gentle enough, BoBo suddenly opened his eyes slowly.

BoBo looked around drowsily and asked, "Where's Mommy?"

"Mommy stepped out," Albert whispered softly.

"Okay." BoBo rubbed his eyes.

"Go back to sleep," Albert said gently.

BoBo closed his eyes for a moment, but within seconds, he opened them again, his bright eyes sparkling in the darkness.

He looked at Albert and asked quietly, "Daddy, have you been really busy lately? You haven't had time to play with us?"

Remembering his recent hectic schedule, Albert felt a pang of guilt and nodded. "Yes, but whenever you want me to spend time with you, I'll be there."

BoBo thought for a moment. "That's okay. Mommy said everyone has their own important things to do, and we can't be selfish and demand other people's time just for ourselves."

BoBo's maturity never failed to surprise Albert, no matter how long they lived together.

Yvette was truly putting her heart into raising their children.

Thinking of Yvette's recent hesitation to speak, Albert asked softly, "Did your mommy say this recently?"

BoBo nodded. "Yes."

Albert reflected on recent events, suddenly remembering the dinner conversation, and asked BoBo, "BoBo, you and CiCi were drawing together that time, making plans for winter break. Did you finish that?"

"We did!" BoBo said. "CiCi and I talked it over, and we wanted to go somewhere with you and Mommy. We wanted to go skiing, but Mommy said it would be too cold and we should wait until we're bigger. So we changed our plan to going to the beach."

BoBo's voice grew softer. "CiCi and I drew out our whole plan, but Mommy put it away."

Albert was surprised. "She put it away? Why?"

"Because you're busy," BoBo said matter-of-factly. "Mommy said you have lots of work meetings, so we can't go too far away. So she made us change our plan from going to the beach to just staying around Luken."

BoBo explained, "So we drew lots of other fun places after that, places we could go with Daddy and Mommy. We went to the Valdemar Villa today, and I want to add visiting Great-Grandma there to our drawing tomorrow."

Albert finally understood—Yvette's hesitation stemmed from overhearing his phone call with Vincent.

Albert pressed his lips together and gently ruffled BoBo's hair. "BoBo, you don't need to draw so many backup plans."

"We can't go anymore?" BoBo sounded disappointed.

"Find that drawing your mommy put away," Albert smiled. "We're going to the beach—all four of us."
