Chapter 432 What If I Can't Have Children Anymore
Even though Yvette had known for a while that Albert would use their children to threaten her, hearing him say it out loud still made her shiver.
A flush of red crept up her delicate cheeks, and her eyes sparkled with dissatisfaction and anger.
Yvette's breathing became a bit erratic, each inhale causing her chest to rise slightly, and each exhale carrying a hint of warmth, as if a fire was burning inside her.
She pressed her lips together, trying hard to control her emotions. But no matter how deeply she breathed, the tears still glistened in her eyes.
Albert not only refused to believe that BoBo and CiCi were his children, but he also used them mercilessly to threaten her.
"My two children..." Yvette laughed, a self-mocking smile playing on her lips.
She knew everything was wrong, twisted. But what could she do?
It would have been better if he had sent her abroad to marry Violet from the start, letting her, BoBo, and CiCi live abroad forever, undisturbed.
Yvette's already fragile heart was shattered once again by his words.
Albert's eyes were deep as he lowered his head, his teeth gently grazing her collarbone.
The pain came again, quickly turning into numbness.
The spot that had been bitten by a mosquito was now covered by Albert's marks, leaving only the stark and shocking traces of his lips and teeth.
Yvette's body was weak, as if it would break with a gentle squeeze.
"Albert," Yvette's voice was ethereal, "why can't you let me go?"
Hearing this, Albert paused his sucking motion, his soft tongue lightly sweeping over the mark, wet and sticky, but unable to soothe her pain: "Because I said, you are mine."
Yvette closed her eyes in despair. She knew what Albert meant...
He would never let her go.
Yvette whispered, "I understand."
Albert held her tightly in his arms: "I also said, as long as you never see David again, I won't restrict your freedom. You can go wherever you want, buy whatever you want, contact whoever you want."
He paused: "Except David."
"Just this one request, it's easy to fulfill." Albert's large hand gently stroked her hair: "As long as you do it, we can have our own children in the future, making up for the past regrets."
As he spoke, Yvette could even feel the vibrations from his chest, tingling and numbing.
"BoBo and CiCi, I will treat them as my own, as I said."
Yvette blinked and suddenly asked him, "What if I can't have children anymore?"
Albert's body stiffened, and he didn't respond for a long time.
Just as Yvette was about to sneer, she heard Albert's voice, tinged with a light laugh.
"If you couldn't have children, you wouldn't be taking birth control pills."
Yvette's lips curled in self-mockery: "If you care so much about having your own children, you can have them with someone else."
"There are plenty of people who can have children, but the mother of my children can only be you, Yvette."
But Yvette couldn't understand what was so good about being the mother of Albert's children.
Her lips moved slightly: "But I'm scared."
She had desperately wanted to prove that BoBo and CiCi were his children, but he said he would never let her go, no matter what.
If he knew he was the father, wouldn't she have even less chance to leave with the children?
Yvette felt that the already chaotic situation was becoming even more tangled, and she couldn't make sense of it.
In such a situation, she didn't dare to make any decisions.
Albert: "Scared?"
"I'm afraid of you, Albert." Yvette's voice was weak: "I don't want to stay in the cage you've given me forever."
Albert's voice suddenly turned cold and harsh: "If you don't behave, that so-called cage will lock you in."
"Aren't you afraid I'll hate you?" Yvette's voice trembled almost imperceptibly.
"I'm afraid, but I'm more afraid of you leaving." Albert paused: "Besides, don't you already hate me now?"
Yes, she hated him.
Yvette closed her eyes and buried her face in the pillow, no longer speaking to him.
Albert didn't force her anymore, his warm hand gently stroking her back, as if soothing her emotions.
Just as Yvette was about to fall asleep, she heard his low voice again.
"Hate me if you want, as long as you stay."
The next morning, before dawn, Yvette was awakened by the sound of rustling.
She opened her eyes to see Albert already dressed in a formal suit, ready to leave.
Yvette slowly got up, resigned, and picked up a tie to help Albert put it on.
As she picked up the tie, Yvette's movements paused slightly, and a faint blush appeared on her cheeks.
It was the same tie that had bound her wrists before.
Albert glanced down at Yvette, a slight smile on his lips: "Remember something?"
Yvette's fingers brushed against his prominent Adam's apple, and the moment she touched his skin, it felt like touching a burning fire, making her pull her hand back.
She shook her head: "Nothing. You busy today?"
"Yeah, today we finalize things."
They spoke casually, like an ordinary loving couple. But Yvette's heart felt like a dead pond.
"Leaving now." Albert bent down and kissed her lightly on the lips: "Be good."
"Okay."
Watching Albert's departing figure, Yvette couldn't help but think of what Sylvia had said yesterday.
She bit her lip, thought for a moment, and picked up her phone to call Sylvia.
Sylvia seemed to have been waiting by the phone and answered immediately: "Yvette! How's it going?"
"Sylvia, you said you'd help me get it. Does that still stand?"
"Of course!"
Yvette thought for a moment: "Later, go directly to his villa, and I'll call David to get him out. I'll have him ask the housekeeper to bring something, and you can take the opportunity to go in. I'll give you the codes for the yard and the door. Just head straight to the second-floor master bedroom's storage room and take everything useful. I'll sort through it later."
"No problem!" Sylvia swallowed nervously: "You can count on me."
Sylvia asked her: "Can you make it out?"
"I don't know." Yvette looked up worriedly and slowly got up: "I'll try."
Sylvia: "Okay."
After hanging up, Yvette tried to stay calm and got up to push the door.
To her surprise, the door opened!
She tried to walk out, and looking back, she saw even more bodyguards than before following her, but none of them stopped her.
Yvette was stunned. Could it be that Albert was willing to let her go?
