Chapter 153 Causing Trouble

Yvette bluntly questioned, for once not receiving a retort from Lassie.

Lassie seemed lost in thought, as if completely unaware of how harsh Yvette's words were.

Lassie grabbed another grape, stuffed it into her mouth, and hurriedly left Yvette's office.

Yvette glanced at Lassie's back, slightly surprised.

At least it was peaceful now.

After confirming that Lassie wouldn't come back, Yvette finally opened her computer and went to a website that was all in French.

Finally, the weekend arrived, and Sylvia dragged Yvette out shopping, insisting on buying her some clothes.

Yvette's dressing style was already quite conservative, and after getting pregnant, her shopping cart was filled with loose-fitting clothes. So when Sylvia suggested it, Yvette didn't refuse.

They agreed to meet at the street food market. Yvette wasn't fond of these foods and only bought a cup of coffee, accompanying Sylvia as they squeezed into the crowd.

Sylvia happily ate while sharing her plans with Yvette.

"Yvette, you're weak now, so you probably can't stand for long or walk far. Let's head to the mall later."

"Okay." Yvette nodded and said gently, "I'll follow your lead."

Sylvia pouted. "You only listen to me on trivial matters like this."

Yvette smiled and said nothing.

Sylvia wiped her mouth. "Yvette, didn't you say Wyatt also invited you to the Central National Hospital? What's your idea? You're about to resign, and if you haven't filled out the application, are you planning to rest and recuperate first?"

Yvette pursed her lips, thought for a moment, and then said, "Actually, I haven't decided yet, so I've been hesitating. But I'm not just considering these two offers; I have other plans as well."

"Other plans?" Sylvia's eyes widened with excitement. "You think it through and decide to stay, do you?!"

Yvette laughed, "Of course not."

Yvette opened her mouth, wanting to share her plans. But the next second, she held back.

Sylvia didn't notice Yvette's hesitation and sighed disappointedly, "If you really resign, and the hospital gets busy, we might see each other less often."

"We won't." Yvette thought for a moment. "We can still video chat, right?"

Sylvia threw her empty food container into the trash. "Let's go, today we're buying sexy dresses!"

Just then, Yvette's phone suddenly rang.

Yvette looked down and saw it was a call from colleagues.

Yvette frowned. "Isn't someone on duty today? Why are they calling me?"

Sylvia leaned over to take a look. "Just answer it. If there's an emergency, Dr. Valdemar can handle it; you've trained her well."

Yvette answered the call, "Hello, this is Yvette."

"Dr. Orlando? Could you come over right now?"

Yvette instinctively asked, "What's wrong? Can't Dr. Valdemar handle it?"

"It's not that." The person on the other end hesitated and stammered, "It's about your family, so we need you to come and deal with it."

"Family?"

Yvette felt a bit panicked and thought, 'Could something have happened to Albert?'

"Yes." The person on the other end said with great difficulty, "Your mom came over last time to Mr. Valdemar, so we recognize her. She's now having a dispute with Violet, and it's quite a scene. Could you come over to resolve it?"
