Chapter 278 CiCi Bumps into Albert

Albert's voice was low and controlled, but you could feel the anger and impatience in every word.

Rebecca, always so high and mighty, was instantly pissed off by Albert's attitude. She widened her eyes and shot back, "How dare you tell me to get out? On what grounds?"

Albert didn't want to waste another word on her. He flicked on the room's light, flooding the place with a blinding brightness.

He walked up to Rebecca, looking down at her with a dark expression, emotions swirling in his eyes. "Give me back the hairpin."

Rebecca raised an eyebrow, her anger fading a bit. She sneered, "What hairpin? That cheap thing that breaks with a snap? Albert, no wonder you don't dare to be with me. Turns out you like cheap stuff like that."

Before she could finish, the emotions in Albert's eyes vanished. Without warning, he raised his fist.

Rebecca was caught off guard. A loud crash sounded beside her ear, and she shrieked, covering her ears in fear.

Albert's fist had barely missed her ear and slammed into the wardrobe with a crash. His gaze was icy, his eyes murderous.

"If you insult my wife again, where do you think my next punch will land?"

Rebecca was terrified, her body trembling uncontrollably. She looked at Albert in disbelief, her eyes starting to redden. "Albert, are you crazy? I'm telling you, if you dare hit me, my grandfather won't let you off!"

Albert sneered, slowly retracting his fist and rotating his wrist, his gaze still menacing. "Go ahead and complain."

Rebecca was about to retort when the door suddenly opened.

Both of them turned their heads to see a panicked Vincent.

Vincent hurried in. "Sorry, Ms. Morgan, Mr. Valdemar has some work to discuss, so please leave for now. I'll escort you out."

Feeling Albert's murderous gaze, Vincent couldn't help but tremble.

Upon discovering that Willard had mistakenly disclosed the password to Rebecca, he hurried over to Albert's house without delay.

As soon as he opened the door, he heard the loud noise from the room, scaring him so much that he wanted to write his will.

Whether Albert or Rebecca got hurt, his fate wouldn't be good.

After all, Willard was Albert's uncle, but he was just an insignificant assistant.

Leaving Albert's house, Rebecca's initial terror turned into anger, making her chest feel tight.

Albert, a man who had lost his wife, how dare he treat her like this?

The more she thought about it, the more indignant she became. Rebecca slammed the steering wheel, causing the car to emit a long, piercing horn.

She glared ahead, gritting her teeth. "There's no man I can't handle in this world, and no company the Morgan Group can't deal with. Albert, just you wait!"

Rebecca sneered, "When you marry me, I'll make you kneel and apologize!"

At the Platinum Haven Hotel in Las Vegas, strict rules forced Yvette to park a kilometer away in a public lot since her car wasn't registered. After parking, Yvette unbuckled her seatbelt and turned to smile at Christina and Lester, speaking softly, "We're here. But it's a bit far from where we need to go, so you'll have to walk a bit."

Yvette had planned to sneak out after they fell asleep, but they were way too excited, probably because it was her birthday, and they just wouldn't let go of her.

But the matter concerning the Valdemar Group's heir was super important, so she had to bring them along.

In the back seat, Christina and Lester, still sleepy, opened their big round eyes and looked around, rubbing their eyes with their chubby hands.

Christina yawned. "Are we there, Mommy?"

Lester, always the serious one, looked around solemnly. "Mommy, we'll walk on our own. Daddy said Mommy is a girl and doesn't have the strength to carry both of us."

Christina smiled and raised her hand. "Me too! I'll walk on my own!"

With that, Lester unbuckled his seatbelt and then helped Christina with hers.

As soon as Yvette opened the car door, the two of them jumped out one after the other.

The scene was pretty heartwarming, and Yvette felt extremely satisfied, grateful to have two angelic kids.

Holding a child in each hand, Yvette led them towards the Platinum Haven Hotel.

Lester looked around and asked, "Mommy, are we going to the Platinum Haven Hotel? Daddy's information can get us in, so why can't we park in the hotel's lot?"

Yvette's smile froze. She knew she could use David's information to get into the hotel.

But Yvette had her reasons. She was going to see David's brother, Albert, with whom David had a terrible relationship.

Given the current weird vibe between her and David, she didn't want to upset him further.

Yvette smiled. "That's your father's information. I'm handling work matters and can't rely on him."

Lester nodded. "I won't tell Daddy."

Yvette patted Lester's head. "Smart boy."

At the hotel entrance, Yvette showed her work ID. The Valdemar Group had a partnership with the Platinum Haven Hotel, so they quickly let her in.

While Yvette trusted that Christina and Lester were well-behaved and that Lester would look after Christina if needed, she hesitated to leave them alone in the hotel lobby due to their young age and the potential risks.

She approached the front desk. "Hello, I'm Jessica from the Valdemar Group. I have some work to discuss. Could you please watch these two kids for a bit? I won't be long. They'll sit quietly."

The front desk staff immediately agreed. "OK, I'll have a colleague get them some water."

"Thank you!" Yvette was extremely grateful. She waved to Christina and Lester before turning and walking inside.

She took out her phone and called a colleague, "Hey, did you find out Albert's room number?"

"Yes, it's 3368."

Yvette's eyes lit up. "Thanks."

Just as Yvette's figure disappeared from the lobby, a tall figure walked in.

Albert's face was slightly somber, his presence commanding and intimidating.

Albert lifted his gaze and strode towards the elevator.

Suddenly, a small white object rushed towards him at high speed.

Lester's childish voice came from a distance. "CiCi, NO!"

Albert looked down to see a little girl crash into his leg, spilling an entire cup of water on his pants.
