Chapter 425 David's Home Court

Yvette ended Sylvia's call and stepped into the restaurant.

A nervous woman stood at the entrance, glancing around, with a reluctant Ingrid beside her. When she saw Yvette, her eyes lit up, and she quickly let go of Ingrid's hand to approach Yvette. "Yvette, I'm Ingrid's mom. We met at the banquet before!"

"Hey there." Yvette nodded slightly, glanced at Ingrid, and smiled faintly.

Ingrid's mom, Mabel Simpson, immediately tugged Ingrid's arm. "Call her sister-in-law!"

Ingrid glared at Yvette, turned her head away, and refused. "No way!"

Mabel was frustrated but couldn't force the spoiled Ingrid. She could only smile apologetically at Yvette. "Yvette, come on in. I've already ordered the food. Everyone's waiting for you!"

Yvette answered, "Alright."

That morning, Mabel insisted to Albert that they host a dinner to apologize to Yvette personally. Yvette didn't want to go, and Albert didn't push her, but Mabel was persistent, almost threatening to go to Yvette's room herself. To avoid a scene, Yvette decided to attend the dinner.

As they walked into the private room, several familiar faces from the Valdemar family stood up to greet her, all wearing smiles. Only Ingrid sat with a sullen face, fiddling with her phone.

Mabel picked up several luxury brand bags from a nearby table and handed them to Yvette. "Yvette, I heard about what happened at the banquet last night. It was our Ingrid's fault. We've spoiled her since she was little, and she's become willful. On behalf of our family, I apologize and hope you won't hold it against her."

Yvette chuckled lightly. "I accept the apology, but I won't take the gifts. As for Ingrid, I hope you can manage her better in the future."

Mabel's face turned pale. She knew that Yvette's refusal to accept the gifts meant she didn't intend to forgive Ingrid. Accepting the apology was just to avoid embarrassing everyone on the spot.

Ingrid, who had been staring at her phone, suddenly looked up and brought over a glass of wine.

Her attitude changed dramatically as she raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Sorry. I really should call you that. Here, let me toast to you!"

With that, Ingrid downed the wine and smiled as she pulled Yvette to sit down. "Please sit. Let me apologize properly!"

Seeing the glint in Ingrid's eyes and her sudden change in attitude, Yvette frowned, sensing something was off.

In the car, David casually replied to a message, put down his phone, and looked out the window.

The scenery of Eldoria hadn't changed a bit.

The driver in the front seat was excited. "Mr. Valdemar, I didn't expect you to return so soon. Will you be staying longer this time?"

"We'll see," David replied.

"Alright! Why didn't Mrs. Valdemar come back with you this time?" the driver said.

David smiled. "She came back earlier."

The driver asked, "Really?"

"Yes." David had rushed back to Eldoria overnight.

Although he missed the banquet last night, being back in Eldoria made him feel at ease. Here, there was no Yvette, only Jessica, and as long as she remained Jessica, she was still his wife in Eldoria.

This was his territory, and he wouldn't let Albert cause any more trouble. David narrowed his eyes, seeing this as an opportunity.

Mabel was thrilled to see Ingrid's change in attitude.

When she found out Ingrid had offended Yvette the previous day, she immediately scolded Ingrid.

Yvette was Albert's wife, the woman he had searched for four years. Everyone knew this.

Moreover, Albert had already sent out invitations, letting the world know he had found his wife.

Ingrid had the audacity to offend such a treasured woman. Even if they had ten families, Albert would still deal with them!

"Really, we have to thank Yvette for making Ingrid change so quickly." Mabel quickly added, "When we return to the country, we must get together more often. Yvette can help us educate Ingrid!"

Mabel's eyes nearly disappeared with her smile. If Yvette was willing to spend more time with them, their family could naturally get closer to Albert.

Without Hayden, they had to rely on Albert!

"No need." Yvette smiled politely, "Albert is busy with work, and I have to take care of the kids. I don't have much time. If I bring the kids to meet her, I'm afraid she'll say those nasty things again. I don't mind hearing them, but I worry Albert won't be happy if he finds out."

Mabel broke into a cold sweat. "Yes, yes, Albert is busy. We can't let him be distracted by these small matters!"

"Small matters?" Yvette's eyes flashed coldly. She smiled a hard smile. "Insulting my two children is a small matter?"

Mabel was stunned. "No, no. I mean, we will punish her and make sure you're satisfied! Punishing her is a small matter; your feelings are important!"

Yvette raised an eyebrow. "Really? How do you plan to satisfy me?"

"Whatever it takes to make you happy, we'll do it!" Mabel was almost ready to kneel before Yvette.

Hearing this, Ingrid was displeased. "Mom, you've never laid a finger on me since I was little. Now, for her and her—"

A loud slap interrupted Ingrid.

Ingrid held her face, shocked, looking at Mabel. "Mom, you hit me?"

"Shut up!" Mabel scolded. "If you keep talking, you won't be part of the Valdemar family anymore!"

"You!" Ingrid glared at Yvette. "Yvette, you'll get what's coming to you!"

Yvette sneered, taking a sip of warm water from the table.

She was about to ask Ingrid what kind of retribution she meant when there was a sudden knock on the private room door.

Mabel was puzzled, looking around at everyone present. "Could it be Albert?"

"Of course not!" Ingrid suddenly smiled, her eyes gleaming with dangerous excitement. "A guest is here. I'll get the door."

Before anyone could react, Ingrid opened the door.

Yvette looked up, meeting David's smiling eyes.

The driver helped David inside and saw Yvette.

"Mrs. Valdemar!" The driver greeted warmly. "Mr. David Valdemar said you came back to Eldoria first! Did you bring Mr. BoBo Valdemar and Ms. CiCi Valdemar with you?"
