Chapter 438 The Red Mark on the Chest

Albert's nearly humiliating words made Yvette feel her dignity was being trampled on once again. Her cheeks flushed instantly, and her eyes sparkled with a sharp light.

Yvette clutched her chest, her shoulders trembling slightly, and her lips pressed into a tight line.

"Albert, are you out of your mind?" Yvette stared at Albert, her eyes tinged with red. "I told you, I just went back to get something!"

Albert let out a cold laugh. "So where's the stuff you went to get? Where is it? What you brought back is that red mark on your chest?"

Yvette was taken aback. She looked down and realized there was indeed a small red mark.

Confusion flashed in her eyes. Why was there such a mark? She and David hadn't done anything, and she hadn't come into contact with anything she was allergic to.

Yvette instinctively touched the red mark, and the action made her recall last night's events.

She said, "Maybe it's because of the storm, there were a lot of mosquitoes."

Albert sneered. "You want to say you got bitten by a mosquito?"

She replied, "It's true, I got bitten by a mosquito!"

Yvette wanted to explain further, to show him other mosquito bites on her body, but Albert could no longer contain the anger in his chest.

He took a half step forward and grabbed Yvette by the waist. "Yvette, I treated you with care, and you take me for a fool?"

Albert's arms, hot and hard like iron, tightly encircled her waist. His brows furrowed, and the anger erupting like a volcano dyed his eyes red.

He looked at the ambiguous red mark in front of him, his jaw clenched, his expression fierce. He lowered his head and sucked hard on the red mark.

Pain shot through her, and Yvette gasped, raising her hand to push him away. "Albert, you're crazy! Let go of me!"

Despite Yvette's continuous pushing and hitting, Albert kept sucking on the red mark.

The pain made Yvette's eyes well up with tears, almost crying from the pain, but more than that, she felt disappointed and wronged by Albert's lack of trust.

She had explained so much, yet he still didn't believe her.

Just like how she had told him so many times that BoBo and CiCi were his children, and he never believed her.

Yvette suddenly felt lost. Was everything she did worth it?

Albert had never loved her before, even if she proved that BoBo and CiCi were his children, what would it change?

Would he love her a little more for the sake of the two children?

Yvette bit her lower lip, closed her eyes in despair, and tears traced the lines of her face, finally falling onto the red mark and seeping into Albert's lips.

The salty taste of her tears finally made Albert stop.

Albert slowly stood up, staring at Yvette, his eyes full of anger. "I don't care about your past with David anymore, what more do you want?"

Yvette turned her head slightly, but Albert grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him.

"Why did you have Sylvia tell me those things? Is it fun to deceive me? Or did you deceive Sylvia too, just to have her cover for you so you could shake off my men and meet David?"

Albert's grip was firm, and Yvette's tender skin instantly turned red.

Yvette looked at Albert, her eyes glistening with tears, her voice choked. "I didn't deceive you, nor did I deceive Sylvia. Albert, it's you who doesn't trust me."

"I really believed it." Albert's eyes flickered. "I believed you had nothing with him, believed the kids were mine."

That's why he risked his life to come and get Yvette when the rain let up a bit.

He wanted to ask her in person if she really had nothing with David, if BoBo and CiCi were really his children.

But the moment Yvette appeared in front of him in a different dress, everything started to crack.

The dress he had personally chosen for her was torn by someone else.

His woman had someone else's mark on her body.

The trust he had painstakingly built collapsed almost instantly.

"All that talk about finding records, it was all a lie, wasn't it? Just so conveniently, you went to find records, and a storm came, forcing you to stay overnight?" Albert's face twisted. "Hahaha... I was such a fool to believe your words."

Yvette's body trembled slightly. She tried hard to hold back her emotions, but the tears wouldn't stop, falling one after another.

Albert's words were like knives, stabbing her heart.

Maybe it was fate that didn't allow them to be together. All these coincidences left her with no way to explain.

She had just wanted to find the truth, to make Albert believe her, to let the two children return to their rightful place.

But one thing led to another, making everything difficult.

In the end, it was her delusion. This peace and happiness weren't hers, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get it.

Yvette's voice trembled. "I really didn't lie to you, I didn't expect these accidents to happen."

Yvette felt utterly powerless. She lowered her eyes, the despair making her lose the desire to explain.

Saying more would only bring more humiliation from him.

Albert picked Yvette up and strode towards the bed.

Yvette's body landed heavily on the bed, and before she could react, Albert's chiseled face was already close to hers.

Yvette's body stiffened, and Albert's well-defined fingers touched her face.

Albert's deep, hoarse voice came. "Yvette, after all this time, did you miss him?"

"Albert, you..."

Albert's kiss came like last night's storm, a whirlwind that left Yvette dizzy, silencing her remaining words.

Albert didn't give Yvette a chance to resist. His eyes darkened, showing no mercy.

Yvette gasped in pain, tears streaming down, her hands clenched tightly.

"Did he kiss you like this last night?"

His lips fell on the mosquito bite, leaving a deeper red mark.

"Is this how the mark was left?"

Albert's face was close, sweat beading on his forehead.

Yvette reached out to push him, but he grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head.

"How did he do it? Like this? Or... from behind?"

"Albert, enough!" Yvette couldn't bear the humiliation, her voice low and angry.

Albert looked at Yvette's face and slowly said, "Does it hurt?"

"It should hurt." Albert sneered. "It should hurt, because I hurt more."
