Chapter 363 Albert, I hate you!

Hearing Albert mention the kidnapping for the first time plunged Yvette deeper into her pain. The moment her head was covered by the black net, she felt like she was reliving the fear and despair of that traumatic experience.

The last time she woke up, she had lost all her memories. This time, she saw Albert rushing toward her without hesitation. For a moment, Yvette's heart softened. But Albert's apology felt like a bucket of cold water.

Yvette hated herself for almost forgetting what he had done to her and their child just because of this one act.

She could never forget it!

Yvette lowered her gaze, hiding her red eyes, but she couldn't conceal the coldness in them.

Albert's throat tightened, his voice hoarse and apologetic. "If I could do it over, I would rush in to save you first. Yvette, please forgive me."

His light apology couldn't erase the grievances she had suffered over the years.

She looked up at Albert, the coldness in her eyes seeping out from her very bones.

Yvette tugged at the corners of her mouth, but the smile didn't reach her eyes. "Albert, let me ask you."

Yvette finally spoke, igniting a glimmer of hope in Albert's eyes. "Go ahead."

"If I hadn't insisted on being with you back then, would you and Violet have been a happy couple?" asked Yvette.

Albert was stunned and almost instinctively denied it, "Don't make such assumptions! All along, it's you that I've wanted!"

"Stop lying!" Yvette suddenly became agitated, raising her voice with an unquenchable pain. "When you forgot about me, how did you treat Violet and me? I can never forget it!"

Albert gave Violet the best, the most sincere, and unique love in the world. For over a decade, it was always one-on-one, and he was always doting and caring.

But towards her, he was always cold and indifferent, never caring about her feelings. Even though he knew about her feelings for him, he never cared, summoning her at will.

She and Violet together were the most cruel comparison, the starkest contrast.

Yvette's voice trembled with sobs. "My love has always been unwavering, never changing. But your love is so fickle! Albert, I hate you!"

Believing Albert had mistakenly loved Violet because of a necklace, she thought once the truth came out, he would love her properly. But even after learning the necklace was hers, he still had feelings for Violet. Those ten years with Violet mattered more to him. Even after marrying her, when he met Violet again, he chose Violet and wanted a divorce to marry her.

Even when she was pregnant with his child, in a life-and-death situation between her and Violet, he still chose to save Violet without hesitation, abandoning her and their child.

The more Yvette thought about it, the more painful it became. She shook her head, repeating, "Albert, I hate you!"

Albert's thin lips moved slightly. He looked at Yvette's painful accusations, wanting to explain but not knowing how to start.

Yvette glared at Albert with hatred. "Albert, the years I forgot about you were the most carefree of my life!"

The kidnapping incident was like a key, opening the memory box Yvette had desperately shut. All those painful, unbearable memories came flooding out, clamoring in her mind.

She remembered how he forgot about her, cherished Violet, and treated her coldly. He used her to fulfill his desires, never showing her any tenderness. He even wanted her to abort their child, divorce her, and marry Violet. His current claim of desire was just a ploy to lure her back.

She couldn't forgive him!

She could never forgive him!

Yvette's chest heaved violently, her emotions agitated.

Yvette glared at Albert with red eyes. "What right do you have to blame me? All the harm I've suffered was brought by you, and many were caused by you personally! If I had died in that kidnapping, what would be left between us? Nothing!"

Yvette's desperate accusations were tearful, but her eyes were red and dry, aching so much that she wanted to close them forever.

Albert stepped forward to comfort her, but Yvette pushed him away. The more he tried, the more she struggled. Fearing she would hurt herself, he held her tightly, enduring her kicks and punches until she calmed down.

Yvette was extremely weak at this moment, her strength small, but each blow landed on Albert's heart.

He deserved it.

Albert said, "I'm sorry..."

Downstairs, the party continued with a lively atmosphere.

The hotel's soundproofing was excellent, and the room was quiet, with only Yvette's even breathing audible.

The cold moonlight streamed in through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, falling on Yvette, making her seem even colder.

Albert lay behind Yvette, looking at her back.

Even though Yvette was asleep, the coldness and distance were still palpable, making Albert afraid to get close.

Yvette truly hated him.

Only today did he fully feel the depth of her hatred. But amidst her outbursts, she finally voiced her thoughts, revealing the root of her pain.

What Yvette held onto was the fact that he had forgotten her for those years.

Their time in the countryside had been so beautiful and pure, yet he had forgotten her, forgotten those times, and even because of a necklace, had given all his feelings to Violet.

Thinking of what he had done to Yvette over the years, Albert knew that the harm was already done. He couldn't pretend nothing had happened, nor could he let the harm deepen.

Albert raised his hand, wanting to touch her, but it hung in the air for a long time, not daring to move forward.

Albert felt lost, and could only ask the air in a low voice, "But how can I make up for your pain?"

The only response was Yvette's even breathing as she slept.
