Chapter 299 Yvette Appears at the Valdemar Family Dinner

Albert rushed into the hotel lobby just as Vincent was putting down his phone.

Vincent walked up to Albert and said, "Mr. Valdemar, I've checked all the major airlines for flights to Las Vegas in the past two days. No passengers named 'Jessica' with two kids."

Albert let out a slow breath. That meant she was still in Luken.

"Alright," Albert said in a low voice. "What's the situation at the hotel?"

Vincent responded, "The hotel's keeping it tight-lipped. We're figuring out how to dig deeper."

"Tight-lipped," Albert grumbled, his expression turning cold. "Someone's aiding her in dodging me."

He didn't need to guess who it was, and his face darkened even more.

Just then, a woman in a hotel uniform approached Albert cautiously. "Mr. Valdemar, you're back again? Did you leave something behind when you came to pick up your wife and kids? Do you need me to ask the housekeeping staff to look for it?"

Albert's eyes narrowed, hiding complex emotions.

So it was David who took Yvette, Lester, and Christina.

Vincent's face changed too, and he quickly told the woman, "No need, thank you."

"Alright," she said, then walked away.

Albert's eyes grew even darker as he led Vincent out of the hotel. "Find out where David is staying with them!"

His voice was low and cold, his presence intimidating, and his eyes full of determination.

No matter where they were, he would find a way to bring Yvette back to his side.

"Understood."

The Valdemar family dinner was held in the villa's banquet hall. Albert, as usual, was in attendance. Getting out of the car, he caught sight of Rebecca coming towards him, someone he hadn't crossed paths with in some time.

Rebecca crossed her arms and gave Albert a provocative smile.

Albert frowned slightly, gave Rebecca a faint glance, and brushed past her.

Once inside the banquet hall, Albert coldly looked at Vincent behind him. "What's going on?"

Vincent hurriedly clarified, "Mr. Valdemar, I swear it wasn't me this time. After you went to see Dr. Martinez last time, he didn't have the guts to set you up on any more blind dates. So this time, she must have gotten in through other Valdemar family members."

Albert sneered. He knew the Morgan family was powerful, but he didn't expect her to dare to provoke him directly.

Albert's thin lips parted, his eyes growing colder. "Find someone to keep an eye on her. If she dares to provoke me, I won't show any mercy."

"Understood." Vincent felt a chill down his spine. Albert was not to be messed with, and neither was the Morgan family.

The banquet hall was spacious and bright, with dazzling lights and luxurious wall lamps reflecting each other, exuding opulence. The entire space felt noble and grand.

Despite being labeled as a family dinner, today's gathering included more than just Valdemar family members.

Attendees holding wine glasses gathered in small groups, chatting and mingling to the soothing and melodious music, creating a great atmosphere.

Lisa, holding James's arm, stood in the middle of a group, chatting about something.

Albert's gaze fell on them just as Rebecca walked over to the group, linking arms with one of the women and giving Albert a smug smile. A flicker of impatience crossed Albert's eyes. Sure enough, the group headed straight for him.

"Albert," Rebecca said with her usual arrogance. "Long time no see."

James chuckled. "Looks like you two are getting along well. Seems like our families are about to unite!"

Rebecca's parents, Rodolfo Morgan and Sharon Sanchez, kept their eyes on Albert. They were impressed by the Valdemar family and saw Albert, as the leader, as a suitable match for Rebecca.

The only thing they weren't thrilled about was Albert's previous marriage.

Sharon looked at Rebecca with concern. "We all agree, but we were worried Albert might not handle his past well and make Rebecca unhappy. But Rebecca likes him, and we only have one daughter, so of course, we prioritize her wishes."

"Mom!" Rebecca pretended to be shy, shaking Sharon's arm, but her eyes were full of determination as she looked at Albert.

"You can rest assured," Lisa said with a smile, covering her mouth. "Albert is very caring and especially sentimental!"

Albert's eyes darkened, and a fierce aura emanated from him. He opened his mouth to speak, but James interrupted him.

"Yes, if he weren't so sentimental, I wouldn't be so worried. Albert and David are twins, and David is way ahead of him." James laughed. "Since everyone is here today, let's have David give you two a little push to help you make your next move."

Hearing the name "David," Albert tensed up and frowned at James. "What do you mean?"

Lisa quickly explained to Albert, "Albert, you don't know yet? David is back. Your grandmother heard the news and is on her way here!"

Rodolfo raised an eyebrow and asked, "It seems Cheryl is quite fond of David"

James waved his hand. "It's because David didn't come back alone! His grandma didn't have anything else on her mind, but as soon as she found out he'd brought his wife and kids back, she was like, 'I gotta go see them right now!'"

Lisa laughed. "Yes, those are the Valdemar family kids. At two or three years old, they're at the age where they can really make people happy. Cheryl will be overjoyed!"

The group chatted happily, completely unaware that Albert's face had turned pale, and his fists were clenched tightly.

Albert turned around and whispered to Vincent, "Go find David and Yvette, quickly!"

Albert's eyes were bloodshot, his anger barely contained, his expression cold and fierce, but his voice was hoarse with suppressed emotion.

Vincent was stunned. "What?"

Before Albert could even say anything, the whole banquet hall just erupted in noise, and all eyes turned towards the staircase.

Albert looked up, and in that instant, he felt the boiling blood in his body freeze and solidify.

David, dressed in a suit, was holding Lester in his left arm and Christina in his right. Beside him, holding his arm, stood Yvette in a high-slit black evening gown, her long curly hair cascading over her chest, looking exceptionally beautiful under the luxurious lights.

Yvette, now Jessica, stood beside David with their two children, posing as his wife.

Albert's jaw tightened as he stared intently at the smiling Yvette.

Yvette actually attended the Valdemar family dinner as David's wife!
