Chapter 412 Albert Is Angry

Yvette hurriedly left Sylvia's house, hailed a taxi, and wanted to get home as soon as possible.

On the way, Yvette felt very guilty.

Yvette wasn't always with BoBo and CiCi day and night, but whenever she wasn't going to stay with them at night, she would tell them early and discuss it with them.

But last night, she drank too much with Sylvia and passed out while chatting, forgetting to call home to inform them.

The more anxious she was, the slower it seemed to get home.

About 1500 feet from home, there was a car accident, causing a severe traffic jam.

Yvette had to get out of the car and walk home.

Her heartbeat accelerated as she walked quickly, her hands clenched, and her palms sweating.

Just as Yvette was about to reach home, a tall figure suddenly blocked her path, and Yvette almost bumped into him.

Yvette stopped abruptly and looked up in surprise to find David standing in front of her, smiling. He stood like a mountain, blocking her way, his smile contrasting with the deep, complex emotions in his eyes.

"Yvette." David's deep voice reached Yvette's ears.

Yvette was stunned, not expecting to meet him here.

She wanted to bypass him and continue home, but his body shadowed her every move, always blocking her way.

David's stubbornness made Yvette very angry.

Yvette frowned. "Move."

David seemed accustomed to Yvette's reaction. "Where were you last night?"

From his words, Yvette sensed something was wrong.

She looked up in disbelief and questioned, "You followed me?"

Yvette knew Albert had people following her, but she didn't expect David to do the same.

These two brothers were equally despicable!

David smiled indifferently. "Albert and I are both worried about your safety. You're now a person in the spotlight, and everyone is trying to use you to deal with the Valdemar Group..."

"Enough!" Yvette's eyes turned cold, and she angrily rebuked, "David, what right do you have to follow me?"

"Right?" A hint of ruthlessness flashed in David's eyes. "I am BoBo and CiCi's father, is that right enough?"

Yvette's eyes widened slightly, her hands clenched into fists, her fingertips digging into her palms.

Since David tore off his hypocritical mask in front of her, he had become more adept at using her two children to threaten her, knowing they were her weakness.

Yvette understood that David would do anything to achieve his goals now.

Yvette sneered. "You know very well that you are not their father."

"No one can prove I'm not their father now." David's smile was sinister. "You can't either, can you? Yvette."

Yvette's body trembled slightly, anger rising.

David's sharp gaze suddenly softened. "Don't always use that attitude and tone with me. You should know how I've treated you all these years. I'm willing to protect and respect you, but I also hope you can see my efforts."

Yvette kept a cold face, not even looking at him.

David continued, "I don't expect you to truly love me. I can accept that you don't love me. But Yvette, I can't live without you and the children, do you understand?"

His words were harsh, making Yvette feel absurd.

"Let me go." Yvette's voice carried a barely restrained anger.

Yvette tried to bypass him and leave.

But David didn't give her the chance. He reached out to grab her. "Yvette..."

Yvette dodged, and David's hand missed, causing her tied-up hair to fall loose. Her long hair cascaded down like a waterfall, catching the sunlight. She reached out to push David, but another force pulled her away.

Startled, she turned around to see Albert standing in front of her, his face dark. Yvette was stunned.

Albert's chiseled face was filled with intense coldness. His gaze at Yvette and David was full of anger and mockery.

Albert was angry.

Yvette's back tightened. She hadn't returned all night and was now with David early in the morning. It was no wonder Albert was so angry.

She had deliberately avoided the bodyguards Albert had arranged for her yesterday to go to the hospital for a check-up to see if she was pregnant.

He didn't know her whereabouts, making her unable to explain herself now.

Albert gripped her arm tightly, causing Yvette pain. She frowned, trying to pull her hand away from his grasp.

The more she resisted, the colder and deeper Albert's eyes became.

"Albert, you're hurting me!" Yvette looked up at him. "Can you not do this?"

"Do what?" Albert's face was expressionless as he glanced at David. "What do you think I should do when I see this scene?"

"Albert." David took a step forward, his aura heavy, confronting Albert. "Let go, didn't you hear? She said you're hurting her."

Albert didn't take David seriously, his deep eyes fixed on Yvette. "Go home."

Albert had no more patience. His handsome face was now full of coldness as he dragged Yvette home.

"It really hurts!" Yvette struggled. "Can you calm down first, and I'll explain?"

Albert's chest heaved, suppressing his almost explosive anger.

He didn't say much, his thin lips parted, and he coldly said, "Go home."

Albert dragged Yvette to leave, but another hand reached out, stopping his movement.

"Albert, you're an adult now, not someone who can get what you want by being unreasonable." David's lips curled in disdain. "And I'm not the good brother who gives you everything when you throw a tantrum."

Albert turned back, disdain flashing in his eyes. "Then try to take it."

"Yvette..." David's deep eyes looked at Yvette.
