Chapter 387 Absolutely Discharged Within a Week!
The moment he was pushed into the CT room, Albert's already tense muscles tightened even more.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he glanced at the doctor preparing to do the CT scan and said in a deep voice, "Call Doyle."
The doctor and nurse, while helping Albert lie down on the CT bed, nodded. "Okay, okay, we'll call him right away. Please lie down first, we need to prepare for the CT scan."
They agreed verbally, but their actions were still focused on preparing Albert for the CT scan.
Cameron had instructed them to quickly complete the CT scan for Albert, ensuring the clarity of the images and Albert's comfort. How could they not comply?
They were just coaxing Albert to lie down and get the CT scan done first, and then deal with the rest later.
Albert, dissatisfied, tried to get up, scaring the nurse into quickly taking out her phone. "Mr. Valdemar, we're calling Dr. Cunningham for you. Do you not want to do the scan? Should I ask Mrs. Valdemar to take you back to the ward?"
The nurse's words made Albert pause.
Yvette was still waiting outside. If he showed any resistance, it would easily give him away.
But if the images ended up in Yvette's hands, it would almost be the same result.
So the only way was to get the CT scan done and then have Doyle find a way to intercept it and make further plans.
Albert frowned, his voice cold. "Tell him I need to do the CT scan now and have him come back to review the images and inform my wife of my condition."
Albert spoke cryptically, but he knew that as long as Doyle heard it, he would understand his meaning.
The nurse replied, "Okay, okay!"
Until the nurse conveyed his words verbatim to Doyle, Albert realized he could no longer delay and finally lay down. Doyle took a vacation at this time! Albert clenched his fist, hoping Doyle would quickly return to the hospital and solve this problem.
Yvette stood at the door of the CT room, looking worried.
Cameron walked up to Yvette and gently reassured her, "Mrs. Valdemar, don't worry too much. From what you said, Mr. Valdemar is now able to stand?"
"Yes." Yvette frowned slightly. "He did stand up, but I'm a bit worried that this might trigger his competitive desire for excessive rehabilitation, which could affect his condition."
"No need to worry prematurely. Let's wait for the CT results and see." Cameron said with a smile, "Once the results are out, they will send them to me immediately."
Cameron's confident demeanor finally made Yvette feel a bit more at ease.
Just then, Cameron's phone rang.
Cameron's eyes lit up slightly as he handed the phone to Yvette. "The scan is done. Let's go see the results!"
Yvette was taken aback. "What about him..."
Cameron said, "The nurse will take Mr. Valdemar directly to the ward. You can come with me to see the results."
Yvette glanced worriedly at the still-closed CT room door and then turned to follow Cameron.
Just as she turned, the CT room door opened, and Albert was pushed out by the nurse.
Albert's face was slightly somber, his voice carrying a hint of tension. "Where are you going?"
Yvette paused, walked back to Albert, and took over his wheelchair from the nurse.
"Is it done?" Yvette asked softly. "Perfect timing, Dr. Simmons has received the images. Let's go hear the results together."
Albert's face stiffened, a look of surprise flashing in his eyes as he looked up at Yvette. "Received?"
Yvette didn't have time to answer and pushed Albert straight into Cameron's office. Albert knew entering could spell doom for him, but it was too late.
Cameron moved a chair for Yvette, placing it next to his own.
On the computer screen were the CT images of Albert.
Albert's whole body tensed up as he sat in the wheelchair, unable to speak to stop it, only able to stare intently at Cameron.
Cameron, feeling a chill down his spine under Albert's serious gaze, couldn't help but shiver. Thinking Albert was worried about his condition, Cameron adjusted his glasses and leaned closer to the computer screen, examining the images meticulously, not missing a single detail.
Under Albert's cold gaze, Cameron's back was slightly sweaty.
Upon seeing the perfect shape of the spine on the images, Cameron finally slapped his thigh in excitement. "Mr. Valdemar has recovered so well in just a few days! He almost doesn't need any rehabilitation and has full normal function!"
Both Yvette and Albert's expressions changed.
Yvette didn't notice that Albert was almost grinding his molars to pieces, only asking Cameron in a daze, "Normal? Wasn't he said to be paralyzed before?"
"Impossible!" Cameron exclaimed in surprise, as if discovering a huge treasure. "Mrs. Valdemar, see for yourself! Mr. Valdemar's spine is almost fully recovered!"
Yvette leaned forward slightly, about to take a closer look, when Albert suddenly spoke, "According to Dr. Cunningham, my condition would take a few more months to fully recover."
As Albert spoke, his intense gaze was fixed on Cameron, his deep eyes radiating a warning.
But Cameron, completely immersed in his excitement over discovering Albert's recovery, couldn't pick up on the signals Albert was sending.
He pointed to the image on the computer screen. "Previously, this section of your spine was damaged. Now it looks very good!"
Albert's forehead veins bulged slightly, his hands clenched into fists in anger, but he didn't dare show it in front of Yvette.
His chest heaved as he suppressed his emotions. "Dr. Cunningham has been following my case. He should be here soon."
Yvette's attention was entirely on the computer screen, not noticing Albert's abnormality.
She blinked. "Dr. Simmons, if he doesn't need rehabilitation, how long before he can be discharged?"
Cameron replied, "At this rate, he can definitely be discharged within a week!"
Yvette, who had always hoped Albert could stand, didn't show much happiness upon hearing this news.
Her expression remained calm as she glanced at Albert. "Oh? Really?"
