Chapter 61 Yvette Ran Towards Wyatt
Chasing away that sleazy and disgusting man, Albert still felt unsatisfied.
He was extremely furious.
That disgusting man had the audacity to compare himself to Albert, saying such vile things in crude language.
Just thinking about it made Albert nauseous.
After calming down, Albert thought that maybe he should clarify things. Since so many people misunderstood, it meant this matter had blown up quite a bit.
He was indifferent to others' misunderstandings of him, but he couldn't bear the thought of Yvette continuing to misunderstand.
Even if they were really going to separate, he didn't want it to end like this, in her hatred and resentment.
Even though he wasn't good at explaining and didn't know how to do it.
After finishing those two expensive freshly squeezed juices, Yvette felt much calmer for the day.
Yvette got off work and left the company alone with her bag. Because of what Albert and Violet did, she now drew attention wherever she went, making it impossible to ignore.
Yvette held her head high, trying to ignore those stares. Just as she stepped out of the company and was about to relax, a tall figure appeared in front of her.
Along with it came a very familiar scent.
Just from the scent, Yvette knew it was Albert. Although she was surprised, she controlled her expression and looked at him with a calm demeanor.
Passersby noticed the two of them and stopped to watch the drama. Yvette couldn't help but frown.
If it weren't for this man kissing his ex-girlfriend Violet in public while still married, causing a scandal, she wouldn't be a laughingstock.
Thinking about how he heroically stood in front of Violet to shield her, Yvette didn't want to see him at all.
Albert felt a strange discomfort from her cold gaze, but since he came to explain, he finally lowered his head and reluctantly asked, "Did you get off work?"
Yvette found his obvious question irritating and replied coldly, "Yes."
Albert continued, "Are you working tomorrow?"
Yvette didn't know how to respond.
He shrugged his shoulders. "Where are you going now?"
One meaningless question after another, Yvette was getting really impatient.
She frowned and took a step back, putting a safe distance between herself and Albert.
"If you have nothing to say, I'm leaving."
Yvette stepped around Albert and left.
Just as they brushed past each other, Albert didn't let her go, grabbing her slender wrist.
Forced to stop, Yvette felt a tight grip on her wrist, causing her pain.
Yvette was very repulsed and instinctively tried to pull her hand back, but he held too tightly, and she couldn't shake him off.
Albert had thought of some explanations before coming, but couldn't say a word. Seeing her so disgusted and impatient with him made him angry.
At that moment, he felt like a clown. Holding her wrist, not knowing what to say, he blurted out a question, "Yvette, why didn't you reply to my messages?"
He regretted it immediately, but the words were out, and he could only frown and wait for an answer.
Yvette didn't expect him to have the nerve to question her.
She cursed inwardly, 'Is it a crime not to reply to the husband who kissed another woman in public while still married?'
Yvette was about to retort when a familiar male voice came from a distance. The man was on the phone, laughing heartily.
It was Wyatt.
Yvette turned her head, seeing Wyatt getting closer, her eyes lit up, and she called out loudly.
"Wyatt!"
The sudden shout broke the delicate atmosphere between Albert and Yvette.
Albert frowned in extreme dissatisfaction, but Yvette took the opportunity to shake off Albert's hand.
Before Albert could react, he felt his hand empty, and the warmth of their touch quickly dissipated as she left.
He looked at his empty hand, still in the motion of holding hers, and frowned.
He wanted to call her back, but for some reason, he couldn't make a sound.
Albert looked up to see Yvette clutching her bag straps, hurrying towards Wyatt.
He had seen Yvette's happy scurry many times, but it was the first time he saw it from behind, watching her run towards someone else.
Yvette actually ran towards Wyatt.
Albert's cold eyes seemed to lose focus, surrounded by a restrained anger. Standing there with clenched fists, his pride wouldn't allow him to follow.
'Explain to Yvette?'
For the first time, he felt his actions were unnecessary.
Yvette, holding onto Wyatt's arm, walked out of the company, while Wyatt, initially confused, now had a knowing smile.
Yvette's mind was still on the man she left behind, not noticing Wyatt's expression. Until they walked far enough, and Yvette confirmed they were out of Albert's sight, she let go of Wyatt's arm.
Looking at Wyatt with an embarrassed expression, she sincerely apologized, "Sorry, I had a reason for what I just did."
Wyatt raised an eyebrow, saying nothing, just looking at her with a smile.
Yvette, made nervous by his expression, said, "I'm really sorry, I feel like I've used you."
This word "used" was an explanation to Wyatt for her strange behavior.
Wyatt smiled, naturally leading Yvette towards the car. "No need to apologize, I was happy to help."
Saying this, Wyatt opened the car door for Yvette. "Let's go see Mr. Wilson."
Yvette remembered this matter and put away her expression, sitting in the passenger seat.
Only then did Yvette start to ponder what Albert wanted to say. Asking if she got off work, if she was working tomorrow, and where she was going after work.
She wouldn't fool herself into believing he came to make an explanation. Yvette's distraction filled the car with an awkward silence that was almost eerie.
Wyatt started the car, and the sound of the unfastened seatbelt warning cut through the quiet. He glanced at a dazed Yvette, was on the verge of reminding her, but then decided against it.
Wyatt shook his head helplessly and, during a red light, leaned over to pull Yvette's seatbelt.
A shadow suddenly blocked Yvette's view, startling her. She looked up to see Wyatt's face suddenly very close.
His sudden approach made Yvette tense up, and she instinctively pushed him away.
Both were stunned by her resistant action.
