Chapter 431 Your Two Children Are in My Hands

Yvette was lost in thought when Sylvia waved a hand in front of her face. "Yvette, hey, you there?"

Yvette snapped back to reality. "Huh?"

"What's on your mind?" Sylvia squeezed Yvette's hand. "Given everything, what's your plan?"

Yvette lowered her gaze. "I don't know. I can't really make any plans right now."

She felt like a trapped animal, confined to the Eldoria estate, unable to do anything but wait for Albert to show some mercy.

She desperately wanted to give up, but her two children were still waiting for her in Luken.

Thinking of BoBo and CiCi's innocent, adorable faces, Yvette's emotions were a tangled mess.

Sylvia frowned, looking at Yvette with concern. "Yvette, is there anything I can do to help? I took three days off from work. I can stay here in Eldoria."

Yvette looked at Sylvia gratefully. "If there is, I'll definitely let you know."

Sylvia bit her lip and asked, "Yvette, what exactly happened that day at David's house?"

"I searched several rooms but found nothing. Just as I entered the bedroom, David came back," Yvette said regretfully. "I didn't have time to find any evidence, and I haven't had another chance since."

"Did David find out?"

"Yeah, he knows what I was trying to do," Yvette said, her eyes filled with despair. "If I don't find a way to get the evidence soon, he'll destroy it all, and I'll have no chance."

The only people who knew the children were Albert's, besides her and David, were the doctors and nurses David had dealt with, who couldn't testify for Yvette.

So the only "evidence" left were the children's altered birth certificates.

Sylvia asked, "How can we get into that villa? Is there a code?"

Yvette looked at Sylvia, puzzled. "Why are you asking?"

"Maybe you could distract David and the butler, and I could go in and look for you?"

The room was shrouded in darkness, as if swallowed by an endless night.

Faint moonlight filtered through heavy curtains, casting mysterious shadows in the corners and crevices.

The room was silent, broken only by the occasional sound of the wind.

Yvette lay on the bed, her back to the door, curled up.

In the dim light, Yvette was enveloped in darkness. The room felt oppressively dark.

Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Yvette tensed, closing her eyes tightly, listening to the sounds at the door.

A beam of light from the open door cut through the darkness, falling on Yvette and outlining her curves.

The bed dipped slightly as a warm body replaced the darkness, enveloping her.

Yvette's cold skin was instantly warmed by his heat.

"Being naughty again?" Albert's deep, magnetic voice whispered in her ear. "You're pretending to sleep."

Albert leaned down, planting a kiss on her soft cheek, and pulled her tightly into his arms.

Yvette opened her eyes but didn't look at him. "You just woke me up."

Her warm breath tickled Albert's chest, stirring something inside him.

His large hand cupped the back of her neck, and he kissed her.

"Since you're awake, why not..."

His tongue replaced the rest of his words.

Yvette passively tilted her head to meet his kiss. Her mind told her to comply, but her body resisted.

She kept retreating, and Albert kept advancing, always having the upper hand.

"Don't want to?"

Albert's voice was cold and low, like a chilling wind brushing her heart.

Yvette lowered her gaze and shook her head. "No."

Though her voice was calm and soft, Albert sensed her reluctance.

"I know you're resisting me, but you brought this on yourself," Albert said, his eyes darkening.

He couldn't stop thinking about Yvette and David, and it tore him apart.

She was his woman, but her heart belonged to David, and she even had two children with him.

He had promised to let go of the past and treat BoBo and CiCi as his own.

But she kept meeting David, disregarding his feelings, and even...

He couldn't bear to imagine what had happened that night, fearing he would lose control.

Yvette felt the temperature around him drop and stiffened, panicking.

She swallowed, trying to stay calm. "No matter how many times you bring it up, my answer is the same. Albert, I never wronged you."

The bedroom door was still open, with faint light spilling in. Yvette saw contempt in Albert's eyes. She knew he still didn't believe her.

Yvette's voice was now slightly choked. "You don't believe me. That is your problem. But the truth is the truth, and I won't change my story."

"If you didn't wrong me, then why are you resisting me? Hmm?" Albert pressed closer. "Your body resists me, but what about David? Do you resist him too?"

"Or..." Albert paused, his warm hand gripping Yvette's chin, forcing her to look at him. "Do you prefer his touch?"

"I don't!" Yvette was furious, her chest heaving.

She turned her head, trying to escape Albert's grasp, but it was futile.

Seeing her struggle, Albert chuckled darkly, his eyes gleaming with a knowing smile. "I thought you were willing to eat, which meant you were willing to behave, so I let Sylvia come to chat with you."

Yvette froze, trying to find clues in Albert's words. She suddenly looked up at him. "So, you let Sylvia overhear Beatrice on purpose?"

"Of course." Albert's rough fingers gently stroked Yvette's delicate chin. "Did you really think Beatrice would be so careless?"

Yvette's eyes widened in shock. "Why?"

Albert's gaze bore into Yvette's, a cruel smile playing on his lips.

"Because I want you to know your two children are in my hands."
