Chapter 428 I Shouldn't Have Provoked You

Yvette froze, her body stiffening as she opened her mouth to protest, but Albert seized the moment, his tongue invading hers.

His tongue, agile and forceful, intertwined with hers, leaving her no room to breathe, as if he wanted to take every last bit of air from her lungs.

Yvette frowned, her whole body resisting, but her tongue had gone numb, and she could only follow Albert's lead.

The taste of alcohol in his mouth seemed to seep into every crevice between her lips and tongue, filling her chest.

Yvette felt dizzy, unsure if it was from the intensity of the kiss or the intoxicating essence of the alcohol he passed to her.

Albert had intended to punish her with the kiss, but she was too sweet, so sweet that he couldn't control himself.

His hands, like nimble snakes, started at her back and roamed over her body.

Albert was as domineering as ever, giving Yvette no room to escape, only relentlessly advancing.

Yvette was like a flower exposed to the elements, blooming under his heat one moment and disheveled by his roughness the next.

Her hands were tightly bound to the headboard, raised above her head, leaving her no way to avoid or escape, forced to comply with him.

Albert bit down on her collarbone in a fit of anger, ignoring her soft cries, even grazing her skin with his teeth, deliberately leaving marks.

Yvette, on the verge of tears, pleaded, "Please... I didn't do anything. Let me go, I beg you..."

Albert paused slightly, then sneered, "Stop lying to me, Yvette. Didn't I tell you? I won't be gentle with you."

Yvette bit her lower lip, enduring his relentless cruelty.

Albert stared at her expression. "Last time, was I too gentle? Did you forget what it's like to be confined? Is that why you keep pushing my limits?"

His eyes were cold, and his smile held no warmth. "Yvette, you need to remember."

"You belong to me!"

Each word was laced with menace, and despite Yvette biting her lip, she couldn't hold back.

"But I am also belonging to myself!" Yvette's voice trembled as she spoke.

Tears welled up in her eyes, falling heavily onto the pillow, forming a damp circle.

Her wrists were bound tightly, and every part of her body ached intensely.

The worst pain was in her chest, as if her internal organs were being crushed and torn apart.

Yvette, sobbing, pleaded, "Please, Albert. Let me go. I know I was wrong, I really know..."

Albert stopped. "What did you do wrong?"

"I shouldn't have provoked you..." Yvette closed her eyes in despair. "From the beginning, I was wrong. All of this is my fault..."

She regretted deeply, thinking that her relationship with Albert was a misfortune that should never have started.

The length of time and the depth of the hurt had brought her nothing but pain.

If she hadn't been so determined to stay by his side from the start, would everything have been different?

Albert's movements halted abruptly, his eyes burning with anger as he looked at Yvette.

She didn't understand her mistake. It wasn't just provoking him; it was also getting involved with David!

Albert sneered, cutting off the conversation. Instead, he made love to Yvette with such intensity that she nearly fainted.

Albert watched Yvette's lips, waiting for her to beg him, to promise never to see David again.

But Yvette gritted her teeth, refusing to give in.

Their struggle continued, the torment unending.

By the end, Yvette was almost unconscious, unable to remember when it ended or how much she had endured.

She felt as if she had died and come back to life, with no difference at all.

Sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm, bright glow on Yvette's face. She slowly opened her eyes, waking from a deep sleep.

Yvette lay in bed, her eyes empty and filled with despair, as if she had endured endless exhaustion and struggle.

She tried to move her hand, but it seemed she had no strength to lift it.

The sunlight cast dappled shadows on her face, and she watched the light move across her hand, a hand that had once been full of life and hope, capable of performing complex surgeries with confidence.

But now, it lay limp at her side, like fallen leaves, lifeless, just like her face.

Outside the bedroom, the sound of an argument reached her ears, a familiar female voice pulling Yvette's drifting thoughts back.

Outside, it sounded like Sylvia?

Sylvia burst into the room and found Albert in the living room, drinking tea and showing no signs of a hangover.

The bodyguards followed Sylvia nervously, looking troubled as they explained to Albert.

"Sorry, Mr. Valdemar, Miss Evans insisted on coming in."

Albert glanced at Sylvia. "You couldn't stop one woman?"

The bodyguard stammered, "You said last time that Miss Evans was also under our protection, so we didn't dare to be rough."

Sylvia glared at Albert, "Albert, are you even a man?"

The bodyguards immediately broke into a cold sweat, while Albert raised an eyebrow.

He remembered that Sylvia had always been afraid of him, whether it was the "Mr. Valdemar" from Luken Aviation or the "Mr. Valdemar" from the Valdemar Group. She had never dared to speak to him like this.

Albert suddenly recalled Yvette saying that Sylvia wouldn't let her be bullied.

After a moment's thought, he waved his hand, dismissing the bodyguards.

Albert gave Sylvia a cold look. "If you're here for Yvette, I suggest you go back to your mentor and return home."

"I'm not here for Yvette. I'm here for you." Sylvia looked at Albert with dissatisfaction. "I don't care if you're the high and mighty Mr. Valdemar, but you hurt Yvette, and I have to confront you."

Albert's lips curled into a mocking smile. "I hurt her?"

"You keep confining her, not trusting her, isn't that constantly hurting her?"

Albert's gaze grew colder.

Seeing that he had no intention of responding, Sylvia became anxious. "She loves you so much, yet you want to drive her to death! You'll regret this, Albert!"
