Chapter 433 Ingrid Complains

The sky darkened instantly as clouds churned and a damp, stormy wind signaled an impending tempest.

Albert sat on the couch, watching the worsening weather outside, his brow furrowed and his expression tense. With a deep, serious gaze, he picked up his phone and called his bodyguard.

The bodyguard's voice on the other end was calm. "Mr. Valdemar."

Hearing the bodyguard's unhurried tone, a flicker of confusion crossed Albert's eyes. "A typhoon is coming. Bring Yvette and Sylvia back."

There was a brief silence on the other end. "Mr. Valdemar, Mrs. Valdemar and Miss Evans are already back."

"Back?" Albert's frown deepened. "When did they return?"

"They've been back for over an hour," the bodyguard's tone grew hesitant. "Hasn't Mrs. Valdemar returned to her room?"

Albert's voice was low. "No."

The bodyguard sounded troubled. "Could she be back at the estate, in Miss Evans' room?"

As he spoke with the bodyguard, Albert's gaze never left the dark, oppressive clouds outside. The sudden sense of foreboding made him uneasy.

Without waiting any longer, Albert stood up to find Sylvia.

By the time Albert stepped out of his room, it had already started to rain.

The bodyguard approached him with an umbrella. "Mr. Valdemar, it's not safe to go out now."

"I'm going to find Sylvia." Albert headed straight to Sylvia's room and knocked on the door.

When the door opened, Sylvia stood there, pale-faced. Seeing Albert, her complexion worsened.

Albert's heart sank, a sense of dread rising within him.

Sylvia had been unable to reach Yvette for a while. With the typhoon approaching, she was a mix of worry, fear, helplessness, and a deep sense of responsibility, which left her anxious.

She feared Yvette might get hurt or even lose her life because of the typhoon. Even if Yvette wasn't in danger, if Albert found out she had gone to David and "Jessica's" villa...

Sylvia didn't dare to think further.

She frantically called Yvette, but Yvette didn't answer, nor did she reply to any messages.

The moment she saw Albert at her door, Sylvia knew it was all over.

Swallowing hard, Sylvia asked, "Do you need something?"

"Where is Yvette?" Albert's voice was low and cold, making Sylvia shiver instinctively.

Sylvia hunched her shoulders. "She hasn't come back yet. I'm trying to reach her."

Albert's eyes darkened. "Where is she?"

Sylvia clenched her hands, stammering, "We split up at the mall... I came back first."

"Sylvia." Albert's voice was stern. "For my bodyguard to think you and Yvette returned together, you must have gone to great lengths to deceive them. Where is Yvette? If you don't tell me, in this extreme weather, she could be in great danger."

"I..." Sylvia's eyes reddened with anxiety. "I..."

She knew she should let Albert mobilize people to find Yvette, but what if Yvette was still safe at that villa?

If Yvette wasn't in immediate danger, but she told Albert about her being at David's old villa, what would happen then?

Sylvia was torn, on the verge of tears.

Just then, Albert's phone rang.

Ingrid's breathless voice came through. "Albert, I'm at the estate. Your people stopped me. Let me in!"

Albert's voice was cold. "Who told you to come?"

"Not letting me in?" Ingrid chuckled. "In this storm, you don't care about me? Fine, I'll take my information and leave."

Ingrid's unusual behavior made Albert suspicious. "Wait, what information?"

"Of course, it's about Yvette." Ingrid said mysteriously. "Don't you want to know where she is and who she's with?"

Albert glanced at the pale Sylvia. "I'll have someone bring you to my room."

Ingrid said, "Alright!"

Albert hung up and coldly said to Sylvia, "Come with me."

Sylvia had no idea who he had spoken to or what was said, but she knew it had to do with Yvette.

She gritted her teeth and followed, secretly trying to call Yvette several more times, but still got no response.

Sylvia could already imagine Albert's impending fury, which would likely match the intensity of the typhoon outside.

Albert led Sylvia to his room, where Ingrid was already waiting at the door.

Seeing Sylvia behind Albert, Ingrid smirked with a smug expression. "Well, if it isn't Sylvia. Why aren't you with Yvette?"

Sylvia bit her lip and glared at Ingrid but didn't retort.

Ingrid feigned realization. "Oh! Right, she went to see someone. It would have been inconvenient to bring you along."

Sylvia was startled. She instinctively looked at Albert, who was indeed furious, his eyes cold as a blade, directed at Ingrid.

Even Sylvia felt a chill, but Ingrid remained nonchalant, looking pleased with herself.

Ingrid laughed, seeing Sylvia's downcast eyes. "Oh my, Sylvia, this is the first time I've seen you speechless! What happened to your sharp tongue? Afraid Albert will find out about Yvette's secrets?"

Albert's gaze was icy, his lips pressed into a thin line, his voice carrying a warning. "Ingrid, get to the point."

Ingrid raised an eyebrow, looking at Albert with a meaningful expression. "Albert, are you sure you want to know?"

"You came here for this, didn't you?" Albert's words were punctuated by a thunderclap, and the rain outside poured down in torrents.

He frowned, thinking of Yvette still not back, and said, "Speak."

"Albert, are you worried about Yvette?" Ingrid looked at him with pity. "Don't worry, she doesn't need your concern. She won't get a drop of rain or a gust of wind. She might even have a warm embrace..."

Sylvia was furious and lunged to cover Ingrid's mouth. "Shut up! Ingrid, are you spreading lies again?"

But before she could reach her, Ingrid quickly hid behind Albert.

Ingrid handed her phone to Albert. "Here, see for yourself. I took pictures!"
