Chapter 421 Only Ever Had Albert as a Man

Yvette's words left Ingrid a bit stunned.

Sylvia snorted coldly, "Did you hear that? The child is Yvette's. Who are you to speak nonsense? Go wash that filthy mouth of yours!"

Ingrid, infuriated and trembling with anger, retorted, "What did I say wrong? Yvette, you are shameless! You were involved with both David and Albert, had a child with David, and then came back to be Albert's wife, flaunting yourself in public!"

A flash of panic crossed Sylvia's eyes, but she quickly regained her composure. "Stop spreading rumors, or we'll sue you!"

"Yvette, are you planning to have more children? If you do, how will David's child and Albert's child, who share the same mother, get along? Will they be brothers or cousins?"

"Shut up!" Sylvia glared fiercely at Ingrid. "Didn't you hear Yvette? The child is Albert's. Instead of making up stories, why don't you think about your own situation? You couldn't even get into the banquet and were stopped outside. Isn't that embarrassing?"

Ingrid, blushing with anger, retorted, "How could they be Albert's? I have a video of her bringing the two children to a banquet with David, claiming to be Jessica, David's wife! What? A woman can use different names to be the wife of two men?"

As Ingrid was about to take out her phone to show the video evidence, Sylvia quickly stepped forward, grabbed her hand, and shouted, "The children came from Yvette's womb. If she says they are Albert's, then they are Albert's!"

"You're lying!" Ingrid glared at Yvette. "Everyone knows those two illegitimate children aren't Albert's. You're just taking advantage of the fact that the brothers are twins and can't do a DNA test. Shameless!"

Sylvia, equally furious, retorted, "Ingrid, you're the shameless one! If you don't believe it, let's bet!"

"Let go of me!" Ingrid winced in pain from Sylvia's grip.

Sylvia glared at her. "Stop talking nonsense. Are you betting or not? Are you scared?"

"Scared? What do I have to be scared of? Let's bet big!" Ingrid sneered, "If I win and those two children aren't Albert's, then Yvette has to leave Albert!"

"Fine!" Sylvia rolled her eyes at Ingrid. "If you lose, you will let us deal with you, leave the country, and never come back!"

Ingrid was taken aback. "Why?"

"Because you wanted to bet big!" Sylvia, seeing Ingrid's arrogance wane and her hesitation to show the video, pushed her. "What? Scared? If you don't dare to bet, admit you were slandering and apologize to Yvette in front of everyone!"

Ingrid, pushed back a few steps by Sylvia, saw the determined look in Sylvia's eyes and felt a bit intimidated, even though she was sure Yvette's two children were David's.

But looking around at the unfriendly gazes of the people, Ingrid knew that if she apologized to Yvette now, it would only make others look down on her more.

Gritting her teeth, Ingrid reluctantly said, "Fine! Let's bet! Yvette, I'm waiting for the day you divorce Albert! I'll show you who is truly the best match for Albert!"

With that, Ingrid snorted, stomped her foot, and left the banquet.

Since she couldn't get in anyway, why stay and humiliate herself? It was better to leave early and find evidence!

Watching Ingrid's hurried departure, the crowd began to whisper among themselves.

Yvette felt a bit embarrassed, but Sylvia bowed repeatedly to everyone. "Sorry. We encountered a lunatic, please understand."

Sylvia's candid attitude made everyone believe Yvette's words a bit more.

But Yvette was worried, frowning slightly as she pulled Sylvia aside. "Sylvia, you shouldn't have confronted Ingrid directly. Though she's no longer favored, she's still a Valdemar. I'm afraid she might..."

"What am I afraid of? My mom isn't someone to mess with either." Sylvia waved her hand dismissively. "Besides, I was worried Albert would find out about this. If he knew Ingrid mentioned this in front of so many people, I'm afraid he would..."

Sylvia looked worried. She thought for a moment and pulled Yvette to a secluded spot.

After making sure no one was around, Sylvia leaned close to Yvette's ear and lowered her voice. "Yvette, so during those years you were missing and had amnesia, you were with Albert's brother, David?"

Yvette nodded. "Yes, he saved me and brought me to Eldoria. I did appear at the Valdemar Family banquet as Jessica with the two children."

"I guessed as much when I heard Ingrid." Sylvia took a deep breath, grabbed Yvette's hand, and looked into her eyes seriously. "Yvette, I barely managed to counter Ingrid's words. You must stick to this story, understand?"

Yvette looked into Sylvia's eyes without speaking.

Sylvia's eyes were full of worry as she urged Yvette. "Don't admit the children are David's. Since twins can't be DNA tested, no one can find out whose children they are. As long as you insist they are Albert's, there won't be any problems. If you want to be with Albert, this is the only way."

Yvette chuckled softly. "I won't lie."

Sylvia was stunned and immediately anxious. "Men are jealous creatures. The years you spent with David are something Albert will find hard to accept, let alone the children. Ingrid may talk nonsense, but she was right about one thing. If you admit the children are David's, how will they get along with any future children you have with Albert? Didn't you check if you were pregnant last time? You..."

"Sylvia, don't worry." Yvette interrupted her gently. "The children are Albert's. David changed the birth dates to make the world think they were his."

Sylvia was stunned. "Really?"

"Yes." Yvette said firmly, "I never slept with David. Albert is the only man I've ever been with."
