Chapter 346 One Bed

BoBo's voice was calm, as if he were asking a simple question. Yvette was surprised; she knew BoBo was precocious but hadn't realized he was so sensitive and observant.

She felt guilty because her children couldn't live a normal life.

CiCi, full of confusion, asked BoBo, "Why will Uncle Albert be Daddy in the future? What about Daddy?"

Yvette looked at the innocent faces of her two children, feeling a lot of guilt and helplessness.

Although they couldn't make mature choices now, she should at least respect them. She knew she shouldn't let the children live in lies.

But with Albert's people all around, once the children let something slip, it would be hard to take it back.

Maybe she should let Albert know the children's true parentage?

Would he believe it?

Thinking about his past behavior, she began to doubt.

He and David were twins, and even a paternity test couldn't tell them apart. If she told the truth now, he might think she was saying it on purpose to change her situation. After all, she was now considered a person of no value, and the Valdemar Family saw her as an enemy.

At this critical moment, telling the truth would likely be self-defeating. With Albert's suspicious and cold nature, how could he possibly believe her?

It was better to maintain the status quo, at least it wouldn't anger him and make their relationship return to square one.

She was now isolated and needed Albert's protection.

Yvette pressed her lips together, suppressing the surging emotions in her chest.

She thought for a moment, then softened her voice to comfort them, "Yes, from now on, you should think of Uncle Albert as Daddy."

CiCi blinked her big eyes, wanting to ask more but didn't dare because of BoBo's serious expression. Though BoBo seemed calm, his little fists were clenched tightly behind his back.

Yvette pretended not to notice anything, just leaned over and hugged the two children, gently stroking their backs.

She would find a way, she would definitely find a way to take the two children and escape from the Valdemar Family!

That night, under a sparse moon and few stars, BoBo and CiCi stood on the balcony with the telescope David had bought, searching for the twinkling stars.

CiCi kept chattering, while BoBo was somewhat uninterested, just cooperating with CiCi and using his astronomical knowledge to answer her questions.

Sitting on the sofa, Yvette looked up immigration information, occasionally glancing at the children and feeling tense. She just hoped this matter could be settled soon. As long as they left the Valdemar family and the country, she and the children would be safe.

Just as she was thinking this, there was suddenly the sound of the door opening.

Startled, Yvette instantly guessed who it was. David was in Stellaria, and Cheryl always knocked. The only person who would enter without knocking was him.

Turning around, Yvette met Albert's deep eyes. Calmly, she locked her phone screen and got up to greet him. Since she still needed his protection, she had to maintain the demeanor of someone being sheltered.

Yvette walked to Albert's side. "Why did you come so late?"

Hearing this, BoBo turned around and glanced at the two of them. He could feel Yvette's tension, so he sensibly didn't show any hostility, but his eyes instantly turned red.

He put down the telescope and pulled CiCi towards the room. "Mom, we're going back to our room."

Saying this, he pulled CiCi along, ignoring her reluctance.

Albert didn't care whether the two children greeted him or not, he only cared about Yvette now.

"Have you eaten?" he asked.

Yvette, treading on thin ice, nodded slightly. "Yes."

After saying this, she felt it was a bit cold, so she added stiffly, "If you haven't eaten, you can ask the kitchen to make something for you."

"No need." Albert waved his hand. "There was a dinner tonight, I've eaten."

"Oh." An awkward silence spread between them, Yvette pinched her fingers, not knowing what to say.

Albert looked down at Yvette, a hint of a smile in his eyes. "I'll come to pick you up early tomorrow."

"Pick me up?" Yvette was a bit nervous. "For what?"

Albert said, "To take you to an auction."

Tonight, Vincent reported that the banquet preparations were progressing smoothly and quickly, pleasing Albert. He wanted to take her to the auction, buy her something she liked, and have her appear as his wife at the banquet for the whole world to see.

Yvette was slightly stunned, instinctively glancing back at the tightly closed door of BoBo and CiCi's room.

She frowned worriedly. "But I'm afraid if I leave, someone will come and try to take the children away."

"They won't." Albert assured. "I will ensure the children's safety, and I will ensure that when you return, they will still be by your side."

Yvette lowered her eyes, hiding her emotions under her long eyelashes. "Can I trust you?"

Albert replied, "Of course, I keep my word. Grandma can't take them away under my watch, I have my own people too."

Life was really ironic. She wanted so much to escape from Albert, but after going around in circles, the only person she could trust in the end was Albert.

Yvette clenched her fists. "I'll go with you."

Albert's expression immediately softened when she agreed.

He raised his hand to tuck a stray lock of her hair behind her ear, and said softly, "With me here, no one can hurt you. No one can separate our family of four."

Knowing he might not be sincere, her heart still trembled a little. A family of four? Could they? After everything that had happened, could they still live together without any distractions? She was confused.

It wasn't until the plane landed in Skyview City that Yvette realized that the auction was not in Luken.

By the time the plane landed, it was completely dark.

The cold moonlight fell on the two of them, as if it had put a filter on them.

Yvette turned to look at Albert, and Albert, as if sensing her gaze, looked back.

Their eyes met under the moonlight, and for a moment, Yvette felt like she had traveled back a few years. They had once had such peaceful moments.

The auction organizers had sent someone to wait for them early, and they were taken to a luxurious hotel.

Albert had some work to do in Skyview City.

Returning to the room, Yvette found herself in a spacious, retro luxury suite from a hundred years ago. Fully equipped and meticulously detailed, the hotel had clearly gone the extra mile for its wealthy guests.

Yvette walked into the bedroom, and at a glance, there was only one large bed inside. The white, neatly made bed looked very soft.

Finding condoms in the bedside drawer, it was clear what Albert intended to do here.
