Chapter 455 "Albert, I am divorced."

The sun peeked through the clouds, casting a soft golden glow over the bustling city streets, illuminating every corner with a gentle light.

Sylvia tugged Yvette away from the shopping district, weaving through the crowded streets toward their destination.

Yvette's eyes showed a hint of hesitation.

It wasn't until they reached the Valdemar Group that Yvette finally spoke up, "Sylvia, do we really have to go?"

"Absolutely!" Sylvia saw her hesitation and squeezed Yvette's hand tightly. "If you keep doubting and never find out the truth, you'll be stuck in this limbo forever."

"But..."

"Yvette, if it's just a misunderstanding, you don't need to let it control your emotions anymore," Sylvia said earnestly, looking into Yvette's eyes. "But if we find out he's really been unfaithful, confronting him and asking him to let you go would be a good thing, right?"

Yvette seemed swayed but exhaled slowly. "But our relationship isn't like a normal marriage. I don't have the right to catch him..."

"As long as you're married, you have every right," Sylvia said, concern etched on her face. "I just don't want you to be consumed by your emotions."

Yvette lowered her gaze. "Sylvia, maybe we should just go shopping instead."

Yvette's reluctance made Sylvia laugh. "Yvette, you're so adorable."

Yvette was taken aback. "What?"

"You keep saying your relationship isn't normal, that you don't love him, but you clearly still care about him!" Sylvia said with a smile. "You're afraid he's cheating because you still love him, right?"

Sylvia could see the sadness in Yvette's eyes.

She was right.

Yvette fell silent.

Seeing that Yvette didn't argue back, Sylvia grabbed her arm and headed straight for the Valdemar Group. "Let's go, let's catch him!"

Standing outside the Valdemar Group building, Yvette was deep in thought.

Yvette wasn't sure how she would react if she saw something incriminating, or if she could even handle it.

But Sylvia was right. If Albert were with another woman, she could finally stop wavering.

She could ask him to let her go, take BoBo and CiCi, and leave Luken for a new life.

Just the three of them, their lives would surely be happier.

Despite imagining this scenario countless times, Yvette felt an inexplicable sadness.

Just then, Sylvia shook Yvette's shoulder. "Yvette, look over there, isn't that Violet?"

Yvette looked up and saw Violet heading towards the hotel next to the Valdemar Group.

The hotel was the most luxurious one owned by the Valdemar Group, not just a place to stay but a showcase of the company's unique charm.

It had multiple conference rooms and business centers, providing a convenient work environment for business guests.

But Violet coming alone clearly wasn't for business.

Yvette pursed her lips. "It's her."

"What's she doing here?" Sylvia wondered. "Isn't she about to have a baby? Why is she running around and coming to the Valdemar Group hotel?"

Sylvia trailed off, glancing cautiously at Yvette. "Yvette, could it be?"

Yvette didn't know.

Yvette and Sylvia watched Violet's figure disappear into the hotel, both falling into a brief silence.

Sensing Yvette's sudden change in mood, Sylvia quickly tried to defuse the situation. "Maybe her husband is inside doing business with the Valdemar Group? Let's not jump to conclusions, let's wait and see."

But before Sylvia could finish, Yvette saw Albert walking out of the Valdemar Group building towards the hotel.

Yvette froze, instinctively lowering her gaze, wanting to look away, but it was too late.

Sylvia's eyes widened as she saw Albert too. "Oh my God, Yvette!" Sylvia's voice was tight and dry. "Albert's heading that way, too."

Yvette's face turned pale.

Meanwhile, at the Valdemar Group's luxury hotel suite, Albert tugged at his tie, his handsome face showing a hint of irritation.

He didn't take out the room key from his pocket but knocked on the door instead.

Soon, a woman opened the door.

Violet's face was pale, her lips bloodless. She smiled weakly at him. "Albert, you're here."

She stepped aside. "Come in."

Albert glanced around the room expressionlessly. "Where is he?"

Violet hesitated. "Inside, come in and talk."

Albert strode into the suite, but there was no sign of Micah.

Albert frowned at Violet. "Where is he?"

As he spoke, Albert's gaze fell on Violet's now-flat stomach, realizing something significant had happened recently.

The Morgan Group had been through some turmoil lately, and Albert had heard about it. Clearly, it was related to Violet's suddenly flat stomach.

But Albert had no interest in that.

He lifted his gaze. "Where's Micah?"

"My uncle has been called back," Violet said, her voice weak as she sat on the sofa opposite Albert, looking up at him. "Albert, I'll hand him over to you. Let's work together."

Albert narrowed his eyes at her. "What do you want?"

"I want the Morgan Group."

Albert sneered. "The Morgan Group is huge. I, Albert, don't have that kind of power."

"In Luken, if the Valdemar Group doesn't have that power, then no one in the world does," Violet said, her eyes filled with hope. "If we succeed, I'll share the Morgan Group with you."

"No need," Albert said coldly. "I only want Micah."

Violet raised an eyebrow. "You've already turned me down. Why should I hand over my uncle? What's in it for me?"

"In that case, I'll find my own way."

Albert didn't want to waste more words with Violet and turned to leave.

"Albert!" Violet panicked, getting up from the sofa and grabbing Albert's wrist. "Wait!"

The sudden physical contact made Albert uncomfortable.

He shook off Violet's hand, brushing off his sleeve where she had touched, his expression darkening.

Violet's voice trembled slightly. "Albert, I'm divorced."
