Chapter 638 Dad Is the Most Handsome

CiCi's unexpected comment left everyone momentarily speechless.

Yvette felt helpless and quickly stood up, gently stroking CiCi's head. "This is Mr. Thomas, the pilot you really like, remember?"

CiCi nodded vigorously, wrapping her arms around Yvette's leg and looking up at her. "Mommy, Mr. Thomas is so handsome!"

Yvette felt even more embarrassed, wondering where this fascination with handsome men could possibly have come from.

Victor hadn't expected the little girl who'd seemed so nervous and scared moments before to say something like that. Though it was a compliment, he found himself momentarily flustered.

Victor cleared his throat and asked CiCi, "You really think I'm handsome?"

"Of course!" CiCi looked at Victor with stars in her eyes. "I don't lie, Mr. Thomas!"

Victor glanced at Albert, who was clearly displeased by CiCi's reaction.

The darker Albert's expression grew, the more amused Victor became.

He chuckled heartily and asked CiCi, "So CiCi, am I the most handsome man you've ever seen? Even more handsome than your daddy?"

Victor's voice carried anticipation, but Albert was growing restless. He cleared his throat softly, seemingly trying to mask his displeasure. "CiCi, the plane is about to take off."

Albert's voice carried an unnatural edge—whether from anxiety about CiCi's answer or simply wanting to end her conversation with Victor was unclear.

CiCi blinked, looking between Albert and Victor, deep in thought.

Both Victor and Albert watched CiCi expectantly, waiting for her answer.

Only Yvette understood that CiCi was a diplomatically minded child who never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings.

Sure enough, CiCi smiled and spoke thoughtfully. "I think Mr. Thomas is the most handsome pilot I've ever seen—super handsome in that uniform!" She beamed at Albert. "But Daddy is the most handsome man in the world and looks amazing in anything!"

Victor laughed.

No wonder Albert now devoted all his non-working hours to his family. With these two children at home, who would want to spend time anywhere else?

Victor ruffled CiCi's hair and pouted playfully, pretending to be hurt. "So CiCi, you still think your daddy is much more handsome than me?"

Sensing Victor's emotions, CiCi shook her head earnestly. "That's not what I meant, Mr. Thomas—you misunderstood me. I'm saying Daddy is the most handsome, but you're even more handsome when you wear that uniform."

Victor perked up with delight. "So right now, at this moment, I'm more handsome than your daddy?"

CiCi glanced back at Albert, then said charmingly, "If Daddy wore your uniform, he'd be more handsome than you!"

She'd managed to compliment them both in one fell swoop.

Victor was overjoyed and reached to hug CiCi, but Albert blocked him.

Albert shot Victor a cold look. "Shouldn't you be doing your pre-flight preparations? We're about to take off."

Albert's dismissal was heavy-handed, and Victor took the hint gracefully. "Right! Getting CiCi to say I'm more handsome than you today will keep me happy for the entire flight."

Victor waved at BoBo and CiCi. "I'm off now. Have a wonderful trip, you two."

"Thank you, Mr. Thomas," BoBo and CiCi said in unison.

Even after Victor disappeared from view, CiCi's gaze lingered in the direction he'd gone.

Albert felt a twinge of jealousy but couldn't show it too obviously. He simply handed CiCi a small snack. "CiCi, are you hungry? Have some treats."

Once Victor was gone, CiCi opened her mouth to accept the snack Albert offered, then threw her arms around his neck. "Daddy!"

Her words were muffled by the food, unclear but utterly adorable.

Albert's heart melted as he quickly supported CiCi's waist with one hand.

"Finish eating first, then talk slowly. Don't choke."

As he spoke, he unscrewed a water bottle cap with his free hand and brought it to CiCi's lips.

CiCi pursed her little lips to sip the water, swallowed her snack, then said seriously, "Daddy, are you mad at me?"

Albert raised an eyebrow, remembering how CiCi had responded when Victor pretended to be upset, and his voice grew slightly stern. "No."

CiCi, always perceptive about others' emotions, quickly sensed Albert's displeasure.

She tightened her arms around his neck. "Daddy, don't be angry. Listen to me. I just didn't want Mr. Thomas to feel bad, that's why I said that. But didn't I tell you? You're the most handsome man in the world—even more handsome than BoBo is right now!"

Albert asked, "What do you mean, 'more handsome than BoBo is right now'?"

"Because BoBo is still a little boy. I don't know if he'll be more handsome than you when he grows up, so I can't say that yet," CiCi said with complete seriousness. "Right now, you're the most handsome man in the world. Mr. Thomas is only the most handsome when he's wearing that uniform."

"Is that so?" Albert asked with a smile. "So if I wore that uniform, he'd never be as handsome as me?"

"Of course!" CiCi said decisively.

Albert couldn't help but smile, looking at CiCi's adorable little face, completely unable to maintain his pretense of anger.

Yvette watched helplessly from the side—CiCi certainly had a way with words.

"Alright CiCi, sit down properly. The plane's about to take off!"

"Yay!" CiCi cheered happily. "We're going to the beach with Daddy, Mommy, and BoBo!"

BoBo grinned and clapped along with CiCi.

Seeing the children's joy, Yvette couldn't help but smile too.

Just when it seemed the little episode had passed, Albert unexpectedly spoke up again, "Looks like I should consider flying again sometime."

Yvette was taken aback, looking at Albert in surprise. "You mean you want to go back to being a pilot?"

"Yes."

Yvette was incredulous. "Don't tell me it's because your daughter said you'd look good in that uniform?"

"Absolutely."
