Chapter 321 That Night Yvette and I, Without Contraception

Yvette had been with Albert for years, and even when he was drunk, he never said he loved her. But now, he did.

Yvette felt a sharp pain in her heart, but she quickly pressed her chest, reminding herself not to be fooled.

Knowing Albert, she knew he never gave away anything he didn't want to, whether it was possessions or her.

Facing his confession, Yvette just frowned slightly, showing no emotion, which made Albert very disappointed.

He had never expressed his feelings to anyone before, but she had no reaction.

David stepped in front of Yvette, shielding her, and their protective stance made Albert feel stung.

Albert said, "Move aside."

David's eyes turned cold and sharp as he confronted Albert. "No."

Albert asked, "What right do you have to interfere in my matters with her?"

David sneered. "Because the person you're bothering is my wife, Yvette."

David said, "You've got the wrong person."

He reached for Yvette's hand, intending to interlock their fingers. Stunned, she instinctively wanted to pull away, but feeling Albert's burning gaze, she clasped David's hand back, knowing he wanted her to act in front of Albert to drive him away.

Sweat slightly seeped from Yvette's palm, spreading between their hands.

Their fingers interlocked, appearing intimate.

Albert stared at their clasped hands, feeling a sharp pain in his eyes and an indescribable sense of loss and pain in his heart.

David saw Albert's expression clearly, achieving his goal.

He turned back, softening his voice to comfort Yvette, "Jessica, you go back to work, I'll handle this."

Yvette looked at David with some concern but decided to follow his lead. "Then I'll go back to the office first, be careful."

"Okay," replied David.

Yvette let go of his hand and turned to leave the conference room.

Albert, unwilling to give up, still wanted to stop her. "Yvette."

David raised his hand to block Albert, his cold gaze falling on him. "Do you want to fight in the Valdemar Group?"

Albert glanced around, thinking about David and Yvette's interlocked fingers, and he had a lot to talk about with David.

He said, "Let's find a place to talk."

Walking out of the Valdemar Group, the warm sun fell on them, but it couldn't melt the cold aura around them.

They stood still, and David no longer beat around the bush, speaking coldly, "Is it fun to be unreasonable, Albert? She doesn't want to see you. If you know what's good for you, stay away from our lives. Otherwise, don't blame me for disregarding our brotherhood."

"When you took Yvette away while she was vulnerable, why didn't you consider our brotherhood?" Albert sneered.

"If you continue to harass her, don't blame me for not being nice." David raised his wrist, slowly straightening his sleeve.

Albert looked up, his eyes like an abyss, filled with endless darkness.

"Are you sure it's just me harassing her?" Albert sneered. "It seems Yvette didn't tell you what happened that night?"David's face darkened, a heavy gloom settling over him.

Seeing David's expression change, Albert pressed on, "Judging by your face, she probably didn't tell you much. Don't worry, I can fill you in."

David's veins bulged on his forehead, and he shouted, "Albert!"

"That night, I didn't plan to touch her. I wanted to wait until she truly forgave me before we got intimate. But she was too eager, too proactive." Albert chuckled. "I couldn't stop her from pulling my shirt and unbuckling my belt. I was surprised; it was the first time I felt her passionate kiss..."

David clenched his fists, feeling a lump in his throat, the metallic taste of blood rising, and even breathing felt painful.

David endured it; he could accept that Yvette and Albert had been intimate.

Even if that night was just because Yvette was drugged, losing control of her actions.

It was his doing, and he should accept the consequences.

As long as Yvette was willing to stay by his side, willing to be Jessica.

David took a deep breath, closed his eyes, his eyelashes trembling, and after a while, he opened his eyes again.

David's voice was hoarse. "Albert, I'll remind you once more. She is my wife, the mother of my two children."

Albert's eyes darkened, coldly glaring at David, slowly, with the determination to destroy him.

"That night, Yvette and I didn't use any contraception." Albert's eyes flashed with sharp coldness. "If she gets pregnant, do you want to be the father of my child?"

At that moment, every word Albert said was like a bomb going off in David's mind. His usually gentle face twisted in anger.

Unable to bear it any longer, he grabbed Albert's collar and clenched his fist, struggling to resist the urge to punch him.

David's voice was hoarse, each word seemingly squeezed out from his back teeth. "Albert, enough is enough!"

Albert showed no fear, his eyes still cold and fierce. "Then give me back my wife."

Trembling with anger, David held back, knowing that hitting Albert would make Yvette think less of him. He refused to stoop to Albert's level or be provoked by him.

Now, Jessica was his wife; her body and heart were with him.

When they returned to Stellaria, they could live a happy life as a family of four.

With the memory of her hatred for Albert, Yvette would eventually accept him.

Then, they would become a real couple.

He would be Yvette's husband, sharing her bed and fathering their future children.

He didn't need to argue with a loser.

Thinking of this, David suddenly took a step back, releasing his grip on Albert.

David's jaw tightened, hiding the coldness in his eyes, and said coldly, "You look pathetic now, really miserable. I know it doesn't feel good. But she has chosen me, what's the point of your crazy entanglement?"

Albert's eyes were sharp. "You admitted it, she is Yvette!"

"So what if the whole world believes she is Yvette? She only wants to be Jessica now." David said in a deep voice. "Albert, you have already lost."
