Chapter 644 A Special Family Photo
Yvette hadn't minded Beatrice's arrival at first.
Her only concern had been whether Albert would resent the intrusion.
But after two days, Yvette was already at her breaking point.
Sure, Beatrice could help with BoBo and CiCi, but she'd also given Albert the perfect opportunity.
Every evening, once the children were whisked away to Beatrice's room, Yvette's anxiety would spike.
Albert, freed from work obligations, channeled every ounce of his energy and stamina into their intimate life.
He didn't even give her a moment to catch her breath.
Yvette sat on the beach, soaking in the warm sunshine and gentle sea breeze, her gaze drifting toward the distant shoreline.
Despite barely letting her sleep last night and exerting himself thoroughly, Albert was now bursting with energy, running and playing with the children on the sand.
Today he wore a blue polo shirt and a straw hat that shielded him from the summer sun.
His face radiated warmth as he looked at BoBo and CiCi, his eyes brimming with unmistakable love. He was completely different from his usual suited, stern self.
Albert suddenly crouched down as BoBo whispered something in his ear, then walked over to grab some sandcastle molds, joining the children in their construction project.
His large hands moved skillfully through the fine sand while the kids chattered excitedly beside him, cheering for their masterpiece.
Yvette's eyes never left Albert and the children. She couldn't understand how she could barely move from exhaustion while he still had the energy to chase them all over the beach.
Without realizing it, Yvette watched them play until evening approached.
As the sun's intensity faded and the sea breeze picked up, the temperature dropped. Yvette rubbed her slightly cool arms.
Standing up, she called out, "BoBo, CiCi, it's getting chilly! Time to head back and change for dinner!"
Both children looked up simultaneously, beaming as they replied, "Coming, Mommy!"
In the golden hour light, Yvette watched Albert walking toward her with BoBo and CiCi in tow, thinking it was the most beautiful scene imaginable.
Their shadows stretched long across the sand, swaying gently with each step.
The waves lapped softly against the shore, whispering the day's stories. The sea breeze carried the faint scent of salt and the distant aroma of fish from nearby boats.
Everything filled Yvette with profound peace and contentment.
She wished time could freeze, preserving this moment forever.
BoBo and CiCi jogged up to her. "Mommy, let's go!"
"Alright." Yvette smiled, ruffling their hair. "Did you have fun today?"
"Yes!" they chorused. "So much fun!"
"I'm glad to hear it."
Yvette watched her shadow merge with the other three elongated silhouettes—a family of four, perfectly harmonious.
Something stirred in Yvette's heart, and she suddenly stopped walking.
Albert noticed her pause and halted with the children, turning back. "What's wrong?"
As he looked back, he saw Yvette raising her phone, capturing the moment of their family of four against the backdrop of beach, ocean, and sunset.
The sun was slowly sinking below the horizon, painting the sky in soft shades of orange and pink.
The photo she was taking would surely be beautiful.
"Mommy, does it look good?" CiCi stood on her tiptoes, reaching for Yvette's phone. "I want to see! Let me look!"
Yvette smiled. "Of course it looks good."
BoBo and CiCi stared at the photo on the screen, absolutely thrilled.
CiCi exclaimed, "It's so pretty!"
"Daddy is the tallest! CiCi's the shortest!" BoBo rarely teased his sister.
Sure enough, CiCi pouted unhappily. "Mommy! BoBo's making fun of me!"
BoBo laughed. "I was just kidding, but if you don't like it, I won't say it anymore."
"That's better. Okay BoBo, I forgive you!" CiCi took BoBo's hand and skipped toward the hotel.
Worried they might run too fast and get hurt, Yvette hurried after them. "You two slow down!"
Watching Yvette chase after the children, Albert's smile grew.
Yvette slept so deeply that in the few short minutes Albert was gone dropping off the children, she'd already fallen into a profound slumber.
Her breathing gradually became deep and rhythmic, like ocean tides gently rising and falling.
Moonlight streamed through the window, draping her in a silvery veil.
The moment the door opened, a breeze slipped through the crack, stirring Yvette's hair and tickling her cheek with the wayward strands.
Yvette shifted, reaching to brush away the bothersome hair, but another hand beat her to it.
Opening her eyes, she met Albert's penetrating gaze.
Startled and thinking of the past two days' routine, she instinctively looked away, trying to escape.
Lowering her eyes, she murmured softly, "Let's sleep. It's getting late."
Yvette tried to ignore his stare, but those eyes held an inexplicable allure, combined with his unique intensity, leaving her nowhere to retreat.
"Sleep already?" Albert chuckled quietly. "That would be such a waste of Grandma's thoughtful arrangements."
He'd been using the same excuse for three days, yet Albert could still say it shamelessly.
Yvette had no energy left to play along. She tried to turn away, but the next second, her slender waist was already captured in Albert's palm.
Albert's warm kiss descended, barely grazing her lips before lifting away again.
Without his usual forceful advance, Yvette's heart began to itch with want.
She unconsciously lifted her head to meet his kiss, only to feel the smile at the corner of his mouth.
Yvette blushed, trying to push him away, but Albert's hands had already robbed her of any strength to escape.
"I... I want to play with the kids tomorrow." Yvette pleaded softly. "Save me some energy, please?"
Albert chuckled, his breath tickling her ear and making her instinctively scrunch her neck.
"Don't want to tonight?" Albert asked.
"Yes!" Yvette nodded emphatically.
