Chapter 44 Dr. Orlando is my wife.

Albert doesn't need to fly today. He has a report ready for submission, which is nearing the deadline. With no prior commitments, he drove alone to the harbor area.
After submitting the report, Albert wandered aimlessly. Unconsciously, he found himself at the entrance to the flight surgeon's office.
Frowning at the sign, Albert felt a mix of emotions, unsure of how he had ended up there. Without going upstairs, he turned around and left.
As he was leaving, he bumped into Sylvia coming out of the building. She noticed him.
"Albert," her voice was somewhat distant. She restrained her emotions from stopping him. "Let's talk."
With the lunch hour just passed and the weather warming, people were reluctant to linger outdoors. The afternoon sun cast a hot silence on the deserted pavement.
The two faced each other in a deserted corner. Sylvia, usually lively and playful, wore a rare serious expression. Her gaze towards Albert was filled with discontent.
Her hands tucked in the pockets of her white coat, Sylvia took a couple of steps in front of Albert, contemplating before speaking, " Honestly, your affairs are none of my business, and I really don't want to get involved. I really don't want to get involved." She furrowed her brow, her eyes revealing her displeasure towards Albert. "But Yvette is pregnant, you shouldn't ignore her."
Upon hearing Yvette's name, Albert glanced up.
Seeing his reaction, Sylvia contained her accusatory emotions and tried to persuade him.
"She is your wife, the mother of your future child. Please treat her well. If you can't do that, it's best to end things here," she said. "I may be crossing a line with this, but Yvette has had many admirers since her student days. Even now, there are still people pursuing her. If you don't cherish her, someone else will."
Sylvia's expression appeared conflicted.
Throughout North Airlines, Albert is a sought-after figure among the female staff. Young, successful, and handsome, he is highly popular. Sylvia even used to pay attention to his on-again, off-again relationship with Violet.
She never imagined that her good friend, the reserved Yvette, had been secretly involved with Albert for two years, resulting in her unexpected pregnancy and hasty marriage registration.
Sylvia was not only angry at Yvette's concealment but also deeply concerned for her. Sylvia was aware of Yvette's hidden affection for Albert. When a girl faces someone she likes, rationality often takes a back seat.
She was the humble one in her relationship with Albert. Otherwise, she wouldn't have quietly stayed with him for two years.
Recalling Yvette's distressed demeanor when discussing divorce the day before, Sylvia realized that Yvette didn't truly want a divorce—she was simply disappointed with Albert.
However, emotions are ultimately a matter between two people. All Sylvia could do was remind Albert. She couldn't be certain whether he would change.
Her reminder was within the boundaries expected of a friend. Unwilling to engage with Albert any further, Sylvia turned and returned to the building.
The last words she spoke to him carried significant weight: "No one will wait for you indefinitely; don't underestimate Yvette."
As Sylvia left, he pondered her words. His gaze was complex. Would Yvette leave him for another man?
He had never considered this possibility. An unnamed restlessness prevented him from peacefully enjoying his vacation at home.
Albert didn't leave the harbor area but headed to the simulation center instead. Several young trainee pilots were returning from outside, unaware of Albert's presence.
A young man looked regretful as he said, "Dr. Orlando isn't on duty at the flight surgeon's office today." The other men nearby started teasing him.
"Who do you think you are making demands during a medical check-up!"
"Are you interested in Dr. Orlando?"
Upon hearing them mention Yvette, Albert instinctively raised his eyes, a hint of displeasure in his gaze, like a hawk being coveted prey.
The young man who first mentioned Yvette scratched his head. "I just like Dr. Orlando. Is that not allowed?"
"Dr. Orlando already has a boyfriend."
"You know?"
The man who confidently claimed Yvette had a boyfriend said, "It's true. A few days ago, when I was at the center, I saw a male doctor buying her a drink and handing her things. Even if he's not her boyfriend, he's definitely pursuing her intensely. And I didn't see Dr. Orlando resisting. That guy is tall, handsome, and a doctor. They do seem quite well-suited."
After the man finished speaking, Wyatt's face flashed before Albert's eyes. His expression turned cold, his hand at his side slowly forming into a fist.
The group of young men continued discussing Yvette.
"Dr. Orlando seems quite popular. My mentor mentioned that many pilots have tried to pursue her, but she's never been seen with any of them."
"Maybe she doesn't like pilots. She seems to have a good attitude towards male doctors."
"Pilots might have some advantages over other professions, but compared to male doctors, they really don't stand a chance."
Albert lowered his head, his long lashes concealing the emotions in his eyes.
Standing up, the sound of his shoes hitting the floor echoed. This noise immediately caught the attention of the men across from him, causing them to fall silent instantly.
The men quickly averted their gaze, fearing Albert would single them out. Albert surveyed the group in front of him. Thinking about their recent mention of Wyatt did not improve his mood.
Albert straightened his back, hands clasped behind him, exuding a commanding presence in front of the trainees.
"You will take turns in the simulator." his voice was calm, devoid of much emotion.
The individuals displayed pained yet reluctant expressions but dared not show it too overtly. They obediently responded, "Yes."
As the trainees turned to head for training, Albert paused, calling them back.
"Wait."
They turned back, standing nervously, awaiting his instruction.
Glancing at each of them sternly, Albert said, "You are not allowed to chat in the training area from now on."
The trainees exchanged surprised glances. "Yes."
The extent of his relationship with Yvette was known to very few at Luken.
He wasn't sure why he felt compelled to say this to the trainees.
At that moment, his mouth was quicker than his mind.
He said, "Dr. Orlando is my wife."
