Chapter 420 Two Illegitimate Children
Ingrid's eyes lit up. Albert said she couldn't go in, but he didn't say she couldn't cause trouble if Yvette came out!
Ingrid shouted, "Yvette! Stop!"
Yvette and Sylvia were taking a breather when they heard Ingrid's loud shout, and both were taken aback.
The two looked in the direction of the voice and saw it was Ingrid. Sylvia was a bit surprised.
"Ingrid? What's gotten into her now?" Sylvia rolled her eyes. "Is she still trying to stand up for Violet? That fool..."
The curse word almost slipped out, but Sylvia held back. After all, the people present were either wealthy or scientific experts, and she didn't want her own image to be tarnished by Ingrid's behavior and be looked down upon.
"Idiot." Sylvia pouted. "I should go see what kind of nonsense she's up to now! There are many experts here; maybe someone can help her if she has a fit!"
Sylvia crossed her arms, and despite wearing an evening gown, she looked quite aggressive.
Yvette reached out and pulled Sylvia back. "If you know she's having a fit, why bother with her? This banquet is very important, and you were brought here by your boss. Don't cause any trouble."
Sylvia hesitated. "True. But ever since you married Albert, she's been causing a lot of trouble in our classmates' group and other places. If she causes trouble at this banquet..."
"Let her be." Yvette frowned. "If we don't go over, she won't have anyone to cause trouble with."
Sylvia thought for a moment and nodded. "You're right. Let's ignore her and go over there."
Sylvia was pulling Yvette to the side, intending to avoid Ingrid.
Seeing them trying to leave, Ingrid got so angry that her eyes turned red, and she shouted again, "Yvette, come here! You were so capable of stealing Albert, but now you don't have the guts to face me? What? Do you feel ashamed of being a mistress and want to run away?"
Ingrid's words infuriated Sylvia. She grabbed her dress and said angrily, "This Ingrid, she never stops! Yvette, you wait here. I'll go see how much more nonsense she has to say!"
"What are you going to do?" Yvette frowned, knowing this wasn't a solution. "I'll go. We can't just let her talk nonsense here."
If this project fell through because of Ingrid's nonsense, she would feel very sorry.
"No way!" Sylvia stopped Yvette. "She's like a mad dog right now, her eyes are red from cursing. You're Mrs. Valdemar; it wouldn't look good if you got into a fight with her here. I'll go first and, I mean, I'll go persuade her to leave."
Yvette said, "This is my issue; I'll handle it. Otherwise, if it affects your boss's project, what will happen to your job?"
"Yvette, how about this!" Sylvia said seriously. "I'll go talk to her first. If she keeps being unreasonable, we'll both throw her out!"
Yvette pursed her lips, thinking about what to do, but Sylvia had already rushed over.
"Sylvia!" Yvette took a couple of steps after her, but Sylvia had already reached Ingrid.
From a distance, Ingrid looked at Yvette and Sylvia with hatred in her eyes.
Ingrid looked at Yvette's high-end custom dress and then at her own rented dress, which she had to be careful not to damage.
Ingrid's father was not very capable in the Valdemar Family, so he had little say in major matters. But as one of the few girls, Ingrid was favored by Hayden. This made her arrogant and domineering. After Hayden passed away, with no one to back her up, her resentment toward Yvette grew.
If Albert had married Violet back then, with her friendship with Violet, she would have had Albert's support!
Albert, as the head of the Valdemar Family, held a position similar to Hayden's.
As long as Albert was willing to help her, she wouldn't have fallen to her current status!
The more Ingrid thought about it, the angrier she got, her teeth grinding in hatred.
Seeing Sylvia approach, Ingrid gritted her teeth and said, "Why is it you? Doesn't Yvette have the guts to face me herself?"
"Minor lackeys don't need the big boss to deal with them; sending someone over is enough." Sylvia sneered. "Ingrid, after all these years, you still haven't gotten rid of your habit of talking nonsense?"
With that, Sylvia pouted.
"You!" Ingrid said angrily. "Don't think you can provoke me. You have no right to talk to me!"
"I have no right? Then do you have the right to shout here?" Sylvia looked Ingrid up and down and then noticed the bodyguards a few steps away who hadn't come over. Suddenly, she realized something. "Oh! Ingrid, if you had the right, why didn't you go inside? It seems you don't even have the right to attend this banquet!"
Ingrid's face turned ugly, and she looked extremely embarrassed.
Ingrid clenched her fists, wishing she could tear Sylvia apart. "Shut up! Sylvia, you're defending Yvette, this mistress, because you're not a good person yourself, right?"
"If you don't even understand basic morals, then we have nothing to talk about." Sylvia looked at Ingrid with disdain. "Not to mention that Albert and Violet broke up before he got together with Yvette. Even if I'm not a good person, I wouldn't be like a bitch, being used by others."
Ingrid was trembling with anger. She hated being called Violet's lackey the most.
She was Violet's friend, and it was normal to stand up for Violet!
Ingrid said, "Aren't you the same? Yvette doesn't have the guts to face me, so she sent you to curse at me!"
"I'm just protecting her, blocking you for her." Sylvia rolled her eyes at Ingrid. "If you have nothing to do, go help Violet take care of her kid and help her recover. Don't have a fit here! Yvette is busy with projects and taking care of kids; she doesn't have time for you."
Ingrid's face turned dark, and she couldn't hold back anymore. She shouted, "Taking care of kids? She indeed brought two illegitimate children to Albert. How does she have the face to say that?"
At the banquet, many people looked at Yvette in shock.
Sylvia's face changed instantly. She stepped forward and grabbed Ingrid's exposed shoulders. "Who are you calling illegitimate children? Say it again, and I'll tear your filthy mouth apart!"
Sylvia couldn't believe that Ingrid, as an aunt, would say that BoBo and CiCi were illegitimate children. It was simply unbelievable!
"Of course, those twins of hers. Didn't you know?" Ingrid sneered. "When she first returned to the Valdemar Family, it was as David's wife, bringing David's two children with her."
Everyone present looked at each other in astonishment.
Suddenly, a cold voice came from behind. "What, Ingrid, do you know better than I do whose children I gave birth to?"
