Chapter 632 Albert Clears His Schedule

Once again, Violet had become the target of public ridicule.

Though she'd grown accustomed to it, facing Rebecca made it unbearable.

Rebecca's venomous words struck like daggers, leaving her nowhere to hide. The judgmental stares and dismissive attitudes pushed her to the breaking point.

Violet clenched her fists and stormed out, her steps unsteady yet determined, each footfall heavy with rage and resolve.

Outside the salon, Violet's face burned crimson, tears threatening to spill. Days of humiliation had built up inside her, the anger and shame becoming too much to bear. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but the fury and hurt gripped her heart like a vise.

As much as Rebecca's words stung, one thing rang painfully true—Violet was indeed a woman abandoned by Rodolfo, Albert, and David in succession.

A woman with such a tarnished reputation, without a wealthy protector, naturally became fair game for high society's cruelty.

These past few days, wherever she went, the elite circles treated her like a pariah, avoiding her at all costs.

She'd expected this and could bear it, to some extent.

But for even these shop clerks to turn on her, kissing up to Rebecca while trampling on her dignity—that was the final straw.

The thought made Violet tremble with barely contained emotion.

Violet dialed Lavinia's number. "How did Rebecca know about my suspended engagement? Who told her?"

Lavinia sounded hesitant, choosing her words carefully. "Ms. Swift, I don't think anyone told her directly."

"What do you mean?" Violet demanded.

"All the vendors preparing for your engagement to Mr. Valdemar received cancellation notices. Every company, from top to bottom—all their employees know." Lavinia sighed. "I had our PR team try to contain it, but they said it's impossible to keep under wraps."

Violet's breath caught, a sharp pain blooming in her chest.

Lavinia was right. Too many people knew, and these service workers thrived on gossip. They'd gladly use this juicy tidbit to curry favor with the gossip-hungry ladies of high society. After all, offending her was the least of their concerns.

Violet couldn't stop shaking. This meant her permanently suspended engagement would soon be common knowledge throughout all of Luken!

The thought made her skin crawl.

Without anyone's protection, she was nothing more than a pitiful castoff in everyone's eyes—a woman discarded by multiple men!

Soon, she wouldn't just be high society's untouchable pariah; even the service workers she looked down upon would kick her while she was down.

Violet was on the verge of a complete breakdown.

When Albert returned home, the house felt eerily quiet.

After asking the staff, he learned that Yvette had taken the children out and hadn't returned yet.

The peaceful house left Albert feeling oddly unsettled.

He was about to head upstairs to handle some work when BoBo's bright eyes from last night flashed through his mind.

BoBo had mentioned that he and CiCi had drawn their holiday travel plans together.

Following BoBo's instructions carefully, Albert searched the bottom drawer of their room's cabinet and found the drawing.

The picture showed a family of four playing at the beach, bursting with vibrant colors and childlike wonder.

Sunshine bathed the scene as four joyful figures moved across the sand—children running and playing by the water's edge, their faces radiant with happiness. He and Yvette stood hand in hand, gazing at each other.

Even with the children's simple artistic style, Albert could feel the love flowing through every brushstroke.

Warmth flooded Albert's heart as he studied the drawing.

BoBo and CiCi must truly love him, truly love their family, to dream of a vacation together like this.

Albert gently picked up the drawing and settled onto the sofa, lost in thought.

Their family had never actually taken a trip together—not even a few quiet days away from everything, just the four of them.

He'd been too busy, so consumed with work that even his efforts to spend time with them fell short.

Albert's gaze lingered on the children's artwork. He reached out to trace the paper gently, as if he could feel their presence, that pure and beautiful innocence.

Something stirred in Albert's heart. He pulled out his phone and photographed the drawing.

This was their deepest wish, their most cherished dream. How could he let the children down?

Albert carefully folded the drawing and placed it in his desk drawer, alongside other artwork from the children—each piece brimming with their creativity and joy.

He would treasure these drawings, believing that soon this one would become reality, a beautiful memory for their family.

Albert rose slowly and returned to his study, dialing Vincent's number.

"Mr. Valdemar," Vincent's voice came through the line. "Perfect timing—I have a project to report."

Albert frowned slightly when Vincent immediately launched into work talk, choosing to listen silently rather than respond.

Vincent briefed him on the project details while Albert responded with his usual professional efficiency, sharing his thoughts and feedback.

"Understood, Mr. Valdemar." Vincent continued, "We have quite a bit to accomplish this coming week. I've already arranged your schedule."

Albert finally reached his limit. "Can't any of this be postponed?"

Vincent paused, clearly caught off guard by the question.

After a moment's hesitation, he replied cautiously, "Some of these projects are rather urgent."

"Such as?"

"Well," Vincent stammered, "they're all fairly urgent, actually."

Albert's frown deepened. "Am I asking you to give me meaningless answers?"

Vincent sounded genuinely confused. "I'm not trying to be evasive."

"Then tell me which projects absolutely cannot wait."

"All of them," Vincent replied.

"Enough." Albert cut him off. "Cancel everything. Clear the entire week. I'm taking Yvette and the children on vacation."

"What?" Vincent sounded like he couldn't believe his ears. "Are you serious?"

"Absolutely." Albert's voice was low and decisive. "Book a beach trip for our family of four. I want the most comfortable, child-friendly itinerary you can arrange."
