Chapter 434 BoBo and CiCi Are Your Children
Albert stared at the phone, his face a mask, but Sylvia could feel the storm brewing inside him.
Sylvia tiptoed and sneaked a peek at the photo on the screen. Yvette and David stood face to face, very close. Yvette's back was to the camera, hiding her expression, but David's gentle smile and tender eyes were unmistakable. The background was clearly David's villa.
Sylvia's heart skipped a beat. David had already returned to the villa? Had Yvette been discovered? How did Ingrid manage to take this photo of them standing in the yard?
Sylvia's mind was a whirlwind of confusion and fear.
The temperature in the living room seemed to drop due to the cold aura surrounding Albert, making Sylvia shiver.
Ingrid looked at Albert. "Albert, you need to trust your own eyes. Yvette went to David's house today to relive their past. Why are you worried about her safety? Why do you need to find her?"
Ingrid's words made Albert's face darken with anger. Sylvia was terrified, but despite not fully understanding the situation, she had to speak up to defend Yvette, "How do you know it was today? Yvette lost her memory and lived in Eldoria for a while. Don't use old photos to deceive us!"
"The timestamp on the phone is clear. It was today, just now! What else do you have to argue?" Ingrid sneered, looking Sylvia up and down. "You really are a good friend, covering for Yvette and deceiving Albert. How can you be so cruel?"
Ingrid's words, all from Albert's perspective, made Sylvia's back tingle with fear.
She cautiously glanced at Albert, but his sharp gaze made her even more afraid. Taking a deep breath, she said, "Mr. Valdemar, I want to explain. If you're willing to listen, please ask Ingrid to leave."
Ingrid was stunned by Sylvia's move and, after a moment of realization, protested, "Why should I leave?"
Sylvia glared at her. "Do I need to explain anything to you?"
"Of course you do!" Ingrid said arrogantly. "You and Yvette are plotting to harm my two cousins. I have the right to intervene!"
At this moment, Albert, who had been silent, made a phone call.
His voice was low and hoarse. "Prepare a room for Miss Valdemar and take her there."
Although Albert didn't directly respond to Sylvia, his actions showed he was siding with her, intending to send Ingrid away.
Ingrid was shocked and protested, "Albert? I'm helping you, how can you..."
Before she could finish, the bodyguards entered and escorted her out.
As Ingrid's figure disappeared and the door closed, Albert's voice, filled with anger, echoed in the room. "She went to David's house, didn't she?"
Sylvia panicked. "She went to for..."
"I need a yes or no." Albert's eyes were fierce.
Sylvia swallowed hard. "Yes! But she went to get something! The children's growth records and photos, they're very important to her!"
With Sylvia's confirmation, Albert's face turned ashen, his eyes flashing with rage. His hands clenched into fists, knuckles white from the pressure.
Albert suddenly erupted like a dormant volcano.
Everything in sight became a target for his fury.
Tables, chairs, books, cups—nothing was spared. He smashed everything in the room, each blow like a hammer to his heart.
The sound of breaking objects and Albert's pained grunts filled the room, turning the previously quiet atmosphere into one of intense tension.
Each smash seemed to be Albert's way of venting his inner pain and anger, each break a testament to the answer he couldn't accept.
He thought Yvette had changed, that she genuinely wanted to be with him, which was why he had let her and Sylvia leave the estate.
But it turned out to be a lie.
Her tenderness was just a ploy to lower his guard so she could see David, making him feel as if his heart was being tightly gripped, ready to be torn apart at any moment. Albert's rage terrified Sylvia, leaving her trembling and too scared to even try calming him down.
Albert let out a cold laugh. "Did she tell you she was just getting something, or did she make you say that to me?"
"She really went to get something." Sylvia's voice trembled. "She said she'd come back after getting it, but then the typhoon hit."
Albert's breathing was rapid. "She told you that just to see David, didn't she?"
Sylvia's fear turned to disbelief. She couldn't believe Albert was misunderstanding Yvette like this.
"Albert, what are you saying? Is that really what you think of her?" Sylvia's eyes reddened with anger. "The children's things are important. She went to get them and ran into David by accident! Who knew they'd run into each other? You don't trust her at all, despite her unwavering devotion to you all these years!"
"Trust?" Albert's expression was a storm of fury. "How can I trust her after everything she's done?"
Sylvia shouted, "What has she done? Even when she lost her memory and thought she was David's wife, she never had been intimate with him. Yet you never believed her! Even when she told you multiple times that BoBo and CiCi are your children, you never believed her! Do you think you deserve her?"
Sylvia's words made Albert tense up, his shoulders tight and body stiff. He clenched his fists, frozen in shock.
When Albert spoke again, his voice was hoarse. He repeated Sylvia's words, "Never been intimate? The children are mine? How could that be..."
Sylvia's eyes filled with despair as she looked at Albert with disdain. "I've always supported her being with you, overcoming all obstacles, because I knew she loved you deeply. But now, I don't think so anymore. You don't deserve Yvette."
Albert was in shock, his brows furrowed, staring at Sylvia.
Sylvia let out a cold laugh. "See, you still don't believe her. She went back to that villa to get proof of the children's birth, to prove it to you. She risked going to a dangerous place, and you're still doubting her. If it weren't for your constant distrust, would she have to go through this?"
