Chapter 367 Throw the Child Down

Completely stunned, Yvette wondered if Albert had really told everyone that, despite clearly not believing BoBo and CiCi were his children.

Yvette looked up at Albert, only to find that he was just lowering his eyes, making it hard to read his expression.

Yvette was momentarily unsure if he truly believed that BoBo and CiCi were his children or if he was just willing to accept the two children, so he directly stated on the invitation that they were his.

Or perhaps, he wanted to intimidate David?

Yvette couldn't find the answer from Albert's expressionless face, so she steadied herself and dealt with Tyrell.

Yvette pretended to be calm, secretly gritting her teeth. "I'm touched that he's willing to treat the children as his own, but they are indeed David's, and he knows it. He doesn't get along with David, so these two children have no value in his eyes. You don't need to waste your efforts. The children are innocent."

When the call came, Albert pulled the car over to the side of the road.

Before Yvette could finish speaking, the atmosphere in the car grew even colder.

Tyrell on the other end of the line seemed hesitant because of Yvette's words.

Yvette seized the opportunity. "Albert won't be in pain because you took the children, nor will he revive the Baldwin family because of them. Your actions will only land you back in prison. If you release the children now, I won't pursue this matter!"

The silence on the phone made Yvette extremely nervous.

She didn't know if her words would make Tyrell give up the idea of harming the children, but this was the only method she could think of now.

The two children were her life, her hope to keep going; she couldn't lose them!

Just when Yvette saw a glimmer of hope, Tyrell suddenly let out a sinister laugh. "It doesn't matter whose children they are. The fact that they got into trouble because of Albert means you two can't be together! My goal is achieved!"

Yvette's whole body trembled, her moist lips turned even paler, and she fell into despair.

No!

The two children must not be harmed!

Yvette was about to speak again, but the other side had already hung up mercilessly. Tears streamed down her face, burning her heart as they landed on the back of her hand. BoBo and CiCi were the most important part of her life; without them, everything felt meaningless.

Yvette couldn't help but sob. "My children..."

She almost didn't dare to think about where Tyrell, such a desperate person, would take BoBo and CiCi and how he would treat them.

As an adult, she had an indelible psychological shadow from encountering a kidnapping. How terrifying would it be for the two children?

Yvette broke down in tears, her voice hoarse and filled with sorrow.

Albert, who had been silent all along, looked at her with heartache, leaned forward slightly, and pulled Yvette into his arms.

His large hand gently patted her back, comforting her.

Albert's Adam's apple moved slightly, his thin lips parted. "I'm sorry."

He never imagined his relentless revenge would cause Yvette such great harm, but now he realized every emotion she felt tugged at his heart.

Albert's large hand moved up, gently stroking the smooth skin on the back of her neck. "Don't worry, I will definitely rescue them."

Yvette's body stiffened, and she slowly looked up, her delicate face covered in transparent tears.

She looked at Albert pleadingly. "Can you really do it?"

Albert replied, "Yes, trust me."

Yvette hunched her shoulders, her whole body trembling with fear and worry.

The deeper the night, the more the fear spread.

Even though Yvette was already at her wit's end, she still couldn't do anything. She could only control her emotions and wait for Vincent's information.

Two hours later, in the dead of night, the silence in the room was suddenly broken.

The vibration of the phone was like a piece of driftwood, bringing hope. Yvette eagerly answered the call.

"Mr. Valdemar, we've tracked the location!" Vincent's voice was filled with excitement. "It's in an unfinished building of the Baldwin family. Beatrice deliberately left traces, indicating that she is still with the children, and they should be fine and being taken care of!"

Hearing this news, Yvette's most tense nerves finally relaxed a bit.

Tears filled her eyes again, and Yvette couldn't wait to find the children. "Where?"

Vincent reported, "I've already sent people to scout the area. The specific location has been sent to Mr. Valdemar's phone. I'm on my way there now, waiting for you and Mr. Valdemar."

Yvette said, "Okay!"

Albert quickly took Yvette to the unfinished building and met up with Vincent.

Vincent quickly explained to the two, "Tyrell hasn't made any moves yet, which means he probably hasn't decided what to use the two children for, so he won't harm them easily. This is advantageous for us."

Yvette nodded. "Yes, he should be weighing the children's value because I told him the children have nothing to do with Albert. He might also be afraid of wasting his efforts and getting himself into trouble."

Vincent didn't expect Yvette to be so calm and looked at her in surprise. "Understood. Our people have already scouted the area. Since it's an unfinished building from a few years ago, there are no walls or railings, and it's very dangerous. Mr. Valdemar, you and Mrs. Valdemar should try not to go up..."

Vincent was interrupted by Yvette before he could finish.

"No!" Yvette said firmly, "I must go up. Those are my children!"

Albert's eyes flashed with a hint of hurt but quickly concealed it.

Albert said in a deep voice, "I'll take you up."

"Mr. Valdemar..." Vincent tried to persuade again.

Albert raised his hand to stop him from speaking further and looked up.

On the third floor of the unfinished building, there was a faint light. If nothing unexpected happened, Tyrell, Beatrice, and the two children should all be there.

Suddenly, Albert's phone rang again, another unfamiliar local number from Luken.

Yvette's whole body trembled, looking at Albert in fear.

Albert's eyes were cold and fierce as he answered the call.

Tyrell said, "Albert, are these two children really not yours?"

Albert's chiseled jawline tightened slightly. "Yes."

"Fuck!" Tyrell spat. "I really kidnapped the wrong ones again. If they weren't really yours, no man would admit to such a humiliating thing. Since they're not your children, I'll throw them off the building."

"No!" Yvette screamed sharply.
