Chapter 343 They Want to Take the Child Away

Hearing Albert's words, Cheryl instantly felt her anger swell. All her previous words had been in vain. Albert remained stubborn, not taking the risks seriously.

Cheryl was so angry that she almost wanted to slap Albert in the face, but she held back.

She said, "Even if you insist on bringing Yvette back, what about her kids? They're David's. How will they cope? Have you thought about that?"

Thinking of BoBo and CiCi's wariness towards him, Albert's eyes darkened, and he said nothing.

Cheryl continued, "Even if you treat the kids as your own, David won't just hand them over. He's too sick to deal with it now, but once he recovers, he'll fight to get Yvette and the kids back. Then you two will be at each other's throats, making a spectacle of yourselves!"

Albert curled his lips, a cold smile appearing. "He doesn't need to fight. I will let David take the children away. After all, Yvette and I will have our own children."

"You!" Cheryl suddenly stood up from the sofa, her finger pointing at Albert trembling slightly, but she couldn't say anything else.

Seeing Cheryl's breathing becoming more rapid, her lips turning pale, Albert realized something was wrong.

Albert lowered his eyes. "Grandma?"

Clutching the back of her neck, Cheryl slid down, nearly fainting. Stepping in quickly, Albert supported her and gently patted her back until she slowly recovered, though guilt flashed across his face, his eyes stayed firm.

Cheryl glared at Albert, patting her chest. "Albert, you will be the death of me!"

Albert picked up a glass of water from the table and brought it to Cheryl's mouth, his other hand still rhythmically patting her back, his tone as cold and hard as ever. "Even if you disagree, I will still insist. This matter is not up for discussion."

Cheryl refused to drink the water he offered. "Then don't recognize me as your grandmother!"

"Whether I recognize you or not, you are still my grandmother." Albert forcefully handed the glass of water to Cheryl. "I hope you don't do anything unnecessary. If Yvette disappears again because of the Valdemar family, I can't guarantee I can control myself and not destroy the entire family."

Albert's tone was casual, but his words carried a faint warning.

Knowing Albert's stubbornness, Cheryl realized arguing was pointless. She had planned to act herself, but his warning hit home. Understanding his character, she knew if she harmed Yvette, he would indeed destroy the Valdemar family. Heartbroken and desperate, she glared fiercely at him.

Cheryl tilted her head back and drank the water in the glass, using the warm water to suppress her anger.

Yvette walked into the bedroom with two bottles of milk.

She handed the bottles to BoBo and CiCi. "Drink your milk. After drinking, you need to take a nap, or you won't have the energy to play in the afternoon."

"Okay!" The two children said in unison, opening the bottle caps and drinking obediently.

Yvette raised her hand to draw the curtains, and the bright room instantly darkened. The thick curtains blocked the light, making the room dim.

After the two children finished their milk and rinsed their mouths, Yvette tidied up and then got on the bed to accompany them.

"Mummy, mummy, I'm so happy!" CiCi hugged Yvette's waist, rubbing her arm with her cheek, smiling.

Yvette smoothed her messy hair. "Why?"

"Because mummy has been playing with us every day these past few days, making milk for us, and napping with us!" CiCi said seriously. "Every time mummy is with us, I feel that mummy loves us very much!"

Yvette's heart softened, and she kissed the foreheads of the two children. "Mummy does love you very much. Sleep now, my darlings."

BoBo and CiCi nodded, turned over, and soon fell asleep.

But Yvette, lying between the two children, looked very serious.

In the past few days, as the children said, Yvette had spent a lot of time with them, without any interruptions.

But the more peaceful these days were, the more anxious Yvette felt.

Her current situation in the Valdemar family could be best described as "caught between a rock and a hard place."

Albert wouldn't let her leave, constantly monitoring her and the children.

Cheryl wanted to send her away but wouldn't leave the children with her.

They were fighting over Yvette and the children's custody, without considering what she and the children wanted.

People were selfish, Yvette knew. What she saw was just human nature.

She had to leave the powerful Valdemar family and take her two children, who meant everything to her. Without any backing, facing the Valdemars with her kids required a solid plan.

Yvette looked at the sleeping children and took out her phone to check immigration information.

Just then, voices suddenly came from outside the room, arguing voices.

Yvette frowned, afraid of waking the children. She carefully got up and walked to the door, intending to stop the noise.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, a woman approached her, nodding slightly. "Mrs. Cheryl Valdemar wants to take the two children to the Valdemar family for a few days to get more familiar with them."

Yvette was stunned. "Grandma said that?"

"Yes."

"No." Yvette shook her head defensively.

Letting the two children go to the Valdemar family now, they were likely to become hostages, used to coerce her into doing many things.

She didn't want to be separated from the children, nor did she want to be manipulated because of them. "I don't agree to let the children go."

Yvette's response was entirely within the woman's expectations.

She nodded, her expression unchanged. "Since you won't send them, we will take them ourselves."

With that, the woman waved her hand, and soon, several people behind her stepped forward, heading towards the room.

Yvette panicked, running to the door, spreading her arms to block the aggressive people, not letting them in. "Those are my children, who dares to mess with them?"

The people, however, were indifferent, raising their hands to push Yvette aside.

The leading woman said formally, "Sorry, this is Mrs. Cheryl Valdemar's order."

Yvette was incredulous.

Cheryl actually wanted to forcibly take her children!
