Chapter 10 Calling an Ambulance
"Your wine for me, of course, I have to drink. But if I'm still alive after drinking, you must fulfill your promise," Elsa said calmly but with a hint of fierceness in her eyes.
She was not afraid of death. What could truly scare her in this world? She stood up and reached behind her head to remove the hairpin, and her long hair fell, covering half of her cheeks.
Then she opened the nearest bottle of whiskey. Elsa had a good tolerance for alcohol, but with nearly 80 proof whiskey, one bottle was her limit. How could she possibly drink ten bottles?
She didn’t care about it and just took them as water. She just hoped that she wouldn’t pass out drunk before finishing these ten bottles. As for the future, it was something she could think of only when she was alive after she finished those wines.
Thinking this, Elsa opened a bottle of whiskey, held her breath, and downed it. Terry couldn't help but widen his eyes.
Terry thought, ‘I’d better not take her as a saleswoman in the bar. After all, she managed to seduce Luke into her bed. Look at her drinking posture. She looks like a desperado now.’
"You're risking your life." Terry couldn't help but reach out to stop her but was stopped by Luke's gaze.
"Excuse me." With one bottle down, Elsa's face flushed, and she felt intensely hot all over. She took off her suit jacket, kicked off her silver-gray high heels, stood barefoot on the carpet, and lifted the second bottle.
Luke's face grew increasingly grim. But Terry, after observing Luke's expression, felt relieved.
Elsa swayed, raised the bottle again, and started drinking whiskey. Luke thought, ‘Does she take it as beer? It seems that she truly doesn’t care about her life.’
"If you beg for mercy now, I'll pretend nothing happened." Luke's tone showed no emotional fluctuations.
"We have a deal, Luke." Elsa refused.
By the time she opened the third bottle, she could no longer hold the bottle steady and staggered over to Terry.
"Help me out." She handed the bottle over, almost falling into Terry's arms.
Terry gasped, reaching out to support Elsa's arm. He knew Luke too well. Despite his excellent background, he was usually cold and distant, rarely showing emotions on his face. But his attitude towards Elsa was unusual.
Therefore, Terry knew well that he would be in trouble if he had too much intimate physical contact with Elsa.
He looked at Luke for his instruction as to whether he should open the whiskey. Luke, however, said nothing as if it had nothing to do with him.
Terry opened the third bottle for Elsa with a heavy heart.
By the time the third bottle was finished, Elsa was already drunk and disoriented. She tried to pick up the fourth bottle but swayed and fell.
Her forehead hit the edge of the table, something sticky flowing down her hair, but she no longer felt the pain.
"Call an ambulance." She heard someone shout, followed by a flurry of footsteps.
She felt like her stomach was bursting, her throat was parching, and her forehead was throbbing with pain.
In a moment of discomfort and burning sensation, Elsa woke up, looking around in a daze, unable to recognize her surroundings.
She thought, ‘Is this a hospital? Why am I in a hospital?’ Her mind was blank, and after a while, she remembered what had happened before.
She thought, ‘Damn it, how could I collapse before finishing it all? I should finish them first.’
"Are you awake?" A cold voice came. Luck entered the room.
