Chapter 201 Late-Night Snack
As Elsa showed off a pair of necklaces, Luke's heart clenched, and he instinctively pulled her closer.
"That's not happening."
Luke's mind was a mess, and he quickly shut her down.
"Elsa, you know from the moment you messed with me, there's no turning back."
He was genuinely scared. If Elsa had been a pushover, easily swayed by the Miller family, he might've already been married to Karen by now.
And Elsa, heartbroken over losing Leslie, might have married someone else on a whim.
Their meeting wasn't just fate; it was also because of Elsa's relentless efforts.
At 26, Luke was a catch, with plenty of women vying for his hand in marriage. Elsa wasn't the first woman to undress in front of him, but she was the only one he cared about.
Thinking about their first time together, Luke felt a familiar heat in his lower abdomen.
"They're trying to paint me as a gold digger, but I'm not playing their game. I've made up my mind. If we divorce, I'll walk away with nothing but what's mine, as per the prenup," Elsa said.
Before Elsa could say anything more infuriating, Luke quickly shut her up.
"That's not happening!" he said in a deep voice, kissing her hard.
Elsa, unhappy, tried to push him away, but Luke held her tight.
"Don't move, baby." Annoyed by her resistance, Luke grabbed both her wrists with one hand and held her chin with the other, forcing her mouth open with his tongue.
Elsa tried to kick him, but he trapped her leg between his.
Their kiss was so intense that saliva dripped down Elsa's chin, landing on Luke's Adam's apple, which bobbed twice.
They kissed for a solid ten minutes, and when they finally pulled apart, Elsa's face was flushed, and she was breathing heavily.
"I'll have Debbie and Jasmine apologize to you ASAP. For now, you need to eat a late-night snack and get some sleep."
Luke then called the intercom in the study, asking Lisa, who had already gone to her room, to prepare another late-night snack.
"There's a sandwich in the fridge from earlier. Ms. Miller, would you like it?" Lisa asked, thinking Elsa didn't want chicken soup.
"That'll do." Luke answered for her.
Luke's picky eating habits had rubbed off on Elsa, though she never used to care about such things. She used to have an espresso for breakfast with a piece of toast, grab a quick meal for lunch, and just eat some fruit for dinner.
"No need, it's too much trouble." Elsa was still catching her breath, frowning.
"I'm not eating. I'm going back to sleep," Elsa said.
After telling Leslie's story and being teased by Luke, Elsa's temper had gradually subsided. She tried to get down.
"Don't move." Luke pressed her waist with his hand.
Realizing something was off, Elsa blushed.
"Pervert," she muttered. How could this man get aroused in any situation? She had been clearly angry just now!
Before long, Lisa brought up the late-night snack.
"Ms. Miller, just leave it here when you're done. I'll collect it in the morning," Lisa said to Luke before heading back downstairs.
Luke picked up a sandwich and brought it to Elsa's mouth. "Be a good girl and eat your snack. After that, we'll make love."
Elsa, sitting on Luke's lap, understood his reaction and suddenly felt mischievous.
