Chapter 43 Pre-nuptial Agreement

Luke noticed the difference from Elsa in the past few days, and his mood improved a lot.

However, Luke just calmly responded on the surface, "Getting married, huh? Then let's go get the marriage license now."

Elsa was about to jump down from the sink, but Luke was already immersed in sexual desire, not letting her slip away.

Nobody knew how hard he had been enduring this past month!

The two of them made love from early morning until close to noon. When they finally finished tidying up and arrived at the Marriage License Bureau, it was almost 11 o'clock in the morning.

They just made it before the Marriage License Bureau closed, completed all the procedures, and got those two extraordinary marriage certificates.

"Wow, am I dreaming?" Back in the car, Elsa held her marriage certificate and looked at it over and over again as if she couldn't believe it.

Seeing her joyful expression, Luke's lips curled slightly without a trace.

If she could just behave and stay by his side honestly, he would give her whatever she wanted.

"Congratulations, boss, congratulations, Mrs. Taylor."

The two finally got married, and even Max couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, immediately changing how he addressed Elsa.

Their marriage was too hasty and Max didn't know if these two would have a wedding ceremony, so he tentatively asked, "The studio under Dalton Banks just received a FL-grade 2-carat diamond. Shall I have someone design a pair of wedding rings?"

Luke wasn't particularly concerned about these formalities, but suddenly remembered the couple necklace designed by Elsa.

She had a talent for jewelry design, and she genuinely liked it, so why not entrust this task to her? Thinking about the two of them wearing rings designed by Elsa, Luke felt a bit of anticipation in his heart.

While Luke was just thinking about it, Elsa had already spoken up.

"No need," she quickly refused.

Whether it was an illusion or not, she felt the pressure around her drop after saying that.

"I'm not getting married for money, so there's no need to waste it," Elsa explained quickly. "Besides, I have drafted a pre-nuptial agreement, but it seems a bit late to bring it out now."

Those thin sheets of paper were tucked into the bag containing the marriage certificate. She had intended to have Luke look them over and sign if he agreed to marry, but she had been affected by Luke's enthusiasm that morning and forgotten to bring them out.

A severely unequal treaty, with each clause protecting Luke's interests and being extremely harsh on Elsa herself.

Luke's expression grew worse as he read on, until his gaze fell on the last clause.

[Regardless of the reason or purpose for divorce by either party, the female party leaves empty-handed, unable to take any pre-marital or post-marital property.]

"Have you already thought about divorce?" Luke's tone remained unchanged, but there was an anger in his eyes that Elsa couldn't understand, making her feel a bit intimidated.

"The economic gap between us is too large. I'm grateful that you're marrying me, I won't spend your money. Having the contract upfront also prevents any terrible conditions in case of divorce in the future," Elsa explained cautiously.

She had already used every means to get Luke to marry her and felt guilty about it, and couldn't take advantage of him in terms of money.

But her explanation clearly only angered Luke more. 'What did she mean? Was she already thinking about divorce on the first day of marriage? And "kindly" trying to preserve his property! Elsa clearly didn't see him as a husband,' Luke thought.

Luke's noble status had always made him look down on others, and no one had ever treated him as a mere tool like this!

The atmosphere in the car seemed to drop into freezing. Max, who was driving, tried his best not to look sideways, but still nervously mistook the accelerator for the brake, running a red light.

'Does she even know what she's saying?' Max thought.
